I chose this hotel because other reviewers had mentioned the cleanliness and they were right. It is an older hotel but it has a certain charm about it and the rooms are spotless. Good size rooms, great views of the canal. Even has a play room for kiddies. Will definitely stay there again!

hotel room is very spacious. located away from the city centre but not far by driving and near to An Ping old street. location located beside a river and is considerably in a quiet peaceful location. breakfast is porridge and toast and with alot of ingredient to choose from. hotel is aged but still decent good. worth the money for a big hotel room for a small price tag

Well-located faded glory”
When you enter the Wei-Yat Grand Hotel, you can see that at some point this was a very fancy hotel. It is comfortable and clean, has a convenient parking space, and has spacious rooms, but the hallways, carpets, bathrooms, entrance all have a faded look to them. There is a restaurant, but no coffee shop or room service. However, it is located next to a beautiful riverside, at walking distance from the An-Ping tourist area. If you can pay around 2000 NTD, as we did, this is certainly worth its money.

Great Location in Anping”
Walking Distance to Anping old street, 5 mins drive to the beach. Room was spacious and comfortable. Parking is free in the basement and the buffet breakfast was very generous.

Comfy bed+pillows, spacious room. Good location. Tv too far from beds , sound too low. Dust in bathroom, worthless hair dryer. Inconvenient breakfast times for tourists, end at 9.30am. No tropical fruit, only orange and watermelon. Not a 4*, really. Very dirty windows, never washed?

The room is quite big but everything looks aged. We check in on a raining day, there is bad smell once you entered the room. The bathroom also smell bad from sewer line. The room was not soundproof you can heard music from downstairs. Those washer and dryers are also very old and need deep cleaning. The good things are their staff are very friendly and helpful, outside also has many famous restaurants. I also said this hotel only can consider as 2 stars instead of 4 starts hotel.

Great hotel, good location and helpful staff”
I've stayed at the Toong Mao Wei Yat Grand Hotel previously (last year) and chose to stay in this hotel again for my Tainan leg this year. I'm pleased the service hasn't changed. The staff are very helpful and always willing to assist (especially when it comes to translating). The rooms are always clean and spacious. They have a very basic gym and self laundry room. 7 eleven is just across the road which makes things very convenient. Overall I will be staying here again when I'm back in Tainan.
