Need to build more good hotels and activity place in the island, if not there are not much things to to for families.
I was just in Lumut and did not cross to Pangkor. They have all the stuff I would get in Pangkor at the Lumut Waterfront so that is good.
Pangkor is a very natural sightseeing island, good for who like to play at beach. Nothing to shop and no nightlife at all.
A beautiful & peaceful island which u can enjoy all kind of sea water fun like snorkelling & diving. There are locak restaurant in the island as u can eat fresh seafood! Sightseeing for sure & nice resort around.
This island not very big, for me i think maximum 3 days 2 night will do. Advise to rent motorcycle so will be more easy go around.

Pangkor Lau is better but if all is booked there Pankor island could be a good second choice. I liked the Anjungan Hotel cause it is quite isolated and very near to the sea.
The locals are very friendly, food is alright, many to choose of local cuisines and seafood restaurants and stalls, taxi drivers are friendly and so far none were dishonest on charging fee, they are consistent.
the restaurant chinese seafood quite famous and nice open sin 530pm but need to wait at least 1 hour.
Beside snorkeling or banana boat or jet ski, u can't do anything more in the island, this island is more about spend time when u 're boring

Pangkor island is nice to have a break from KL. Close located, it's easy to reach the place and the hotel are quite cheap during low season (not during special events).
Its a small island with semi-developed infrastructure. You can go around the island on rental bikes or taxi.
The beaches are nice and clean and a lots of water sports activities. There are also little islands where you can go by boat for snorkling or even fishing.
Most attractions here are small area, except Fu Lin Kong temple, there are 3 giant arapaima fish, they could have live longer than me.
PANGKOR IS A FISH VILLAGE, YOU CAN FIND A VERY FRESH SEAFOOD FROM THIS BEACH, THE ALSO SALE THE PROCESSED DRY FISH, SALTY FISH IS VERY FRESH AND TRADITIONAL HAND MAKE.
Small island but nice place. The transport is easy to get and valuable for money. The transport also very comfortable.
For those who like seafood, there are 2 famous restaurant near the ferry terminal which is Yee Lin and Coco&Karaoke.
