Manila being the capital city of the Philippines, is a busy city where you can experience a lot of things from food, shopping, spa and relaxation to entertainment and night life.
There's nothing much to do in Manila actually, since there're no nice beaches or places for sightseeing, the only attraction could be the malls for shopping and dining.
Manila as a whole is rich in history, and culture in the old districts like intramuros, sta cruz, binondo.
Manila is just around 3 hours travel from Pangasinan Province where we came from. It is easily reached via the TPLEX, SCTEX and NLEX Route.
Going to Manila is like reliving Philippine History. The streets in Manila are narrow that you can enjoy strolling around like following the footsteps of Jose Rizal up to his monument in Luneta.
Manila is Manila. Crazily crowded and poluted. To be seen, but dont spend to much time here and be prepared that this city is a true hellhole.

It's better to travel in the afternoon when it's not to hot. If you are using a taxi to commute use GRAB TAXI or UBER just to be safe from over pricing taxi drivers.
metro manila with about 15 mill inhabitants. No concept for traffic, annoying situaton. Try to get a taxi where driver use meter.
great place for couples and single people, familys no good, unless if your kids are teenagers, because the people in manila, there are beggers and the place isnt that clean so age is important, child can catch germs if there not careful aspecially if u live in clean country, if your a teenager and older you are more aware of bad situations, because of our maturity when it comes to the things around you, you have more control over your surroundings, couple are great for the place if u want to relax and enjoy yourself if you want romance, great for singles as u will enjoy the night life or sight seeing, and maybe finding a relationship if thats what your looking for.
Manila is great place to shop dine and entertanment us suprb most specially the casinos and the night life.
There are two Manila's. Greater Manila, and the suburb of Manila. The city is poorly planned, or probably not planned.
Manila is a city very rich in culture and history. Filipinos are very friendly and accommodating. Eveyone can enjoy shopping at very cheap prices, from food to clothes, accessories, jewelries.

I always like to visit Manila especially for shopping. However the traffic is horrible and getting a ride can be very stressful.
There are a lot of historical place near my hotel like rizal park, ocean park, sm moa. if you are into shopping manila is the best but one note the traffic jam here is very busy!
What a sad poor city you can see that the local politicians are happily putting the infrastructure money into their own pockets.
