"On My Way Taitung is located within walking distance from Taitung TRA Station, where most buses, including those heading to key attractions (Taiwan Tourist Shuttle) and the city centre, also stop by at. It's an ideal base for anyone who wants to explore Taitung province, though not for one who's interested in shopping and/or dining due to the lack of shops and dining outlets in the area (the hostel makes up for it by selling instant noodles and drinks). The ambience at the hostel is friendly and warm. The people who run the hostel often interact with the guests: greeting them; chatting with them about their days and etc.; and offering suggestions or advice on exploring Taitung. They also invite guests to join them in their nightly board game sessions, and are present in the common area most of the time (they stay in the hostel, too). Facilities-wise, other than those already stated on the webpage, the common area is filled with lots of information on transportation and attractions in Taitung, so you can easily do your research and planning without having to access the Internet. The hostel is very well-kept and clean, and amenities are well-stocked. Breakfast is simple (as expected of a hostel) but good enough to start the day, consisting of toast with three types of jam: chocolate, strawberry, and peanut butter. If you like to interact with people and want to explore Taitung province, this is the hostel to consider! P.S. Please note that there's no lift in the hostel, so try not to bring any heavy or roll-away luggage."

"Staying in taitung for one night before going to Lyudao in the morning. Its a bit far from the train station, about 10mins walk, but you can get there easily with the help of google map. Room is really clean. The owner cooked breakfast for us in the morning, very delicious homecooked porridge and with small dishes. I wasn’t feeling well and had a cold, the owner even noticed it and made me a cup of ginger tea! Thank you for the memorable stay!"

"After my great experience with this chain of hostels in Taichung I didn't doubt in choosing them for my stay in Taitung and it was a good decision. It didn't feel like a hostel since there were no dormitories (to my knowledge) but still is a very reasonably priced budget hotel. Room was nice, bedding was good and same for the mattress. The common space and kitchen were great and the washing machine and dryer were big, good and cheap. Also, the staff was very friendly and answered patiently and with good attitude to all my questions. Only complains would be that there are no bus stops in a 800m radius or so and that in the mini room the shower is a little uncomfortable (I should have expected the second one since the name implies it, but still)."

"Although it is quite a distance from Taitung railway station, there is shuttle bus service available (advance notice required) between the railway station and hotel. Nice getaway from city life with plenty of nice eateries around the hotel. Voucher is also provided where you can use the sauna, swimming pool and gym at the main hotel (Formosan Naruwan Hotel & Resort) within walkable distance."

"When we arrived at the hotel, we were promptly served and were in our rooms in no time at all by some very friendly employees. The hotel was by far one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. And I can not say enough about the rooms. The rooms were extremely comfortable and very inviting. The bathrooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. The linens were fresh. The televisions have cable. The hotel is also within walking distance of countless restaurants, cafes, and shops. If I travel to Taitung again in the future, this hotel will be my first choice."
