Tagaytay City Proper hotels & places to stay

I was really hoping for a very relaxing stay in Tagaytay City and Taal Vista really delivered. The staff are very friendly, the facilities are well-maintained, and all my requests were granted (in terms of room specifications and accommodations). Me and my girlfriend were treated like royalty, as well as everyone else (guests). I guess this raises the bar for hotels in the Philippines - probably one of the nicest, warmest places to have a fun, romantic weekend stay at. The hotel also had a great view of the Taal Volcano - probably the nearest and most breathtaking view of the volcano. Very couple-friendly and the service are consistently superb. Staff are all-smiles and are very warm to speak to. They even would engage you in genuine conversations which I found very homey and reflects the Filipino hospitality. I'd say this is one of the top three best countryside hotels in the Philippines. I hope they keep up the good work as I will definitely be coming back soon. Just positive things to say about this hotel. Two thumbs up!

We super enjoyed our stay at Anya Resort. My husband is usually not so fond of "staycations" but he was impressed with the service! The pool was incredibly gorgeous and it's heated! The entire pool is heated! Perfect for the Tagaytay weather. The staff were also so courteous and accomodating, most especially the hotel guards. Perks up our day! The hotel managers were even the ones who greeted us when we arrived, shook our hands and introduced us around. All in all it's a great place to stay and relax. The downside was that when we decided to have an evening swim, no lifeguards were available and the staff didn't provide any pool towels. The pool closed early at 7pm with nobody around to further assist. But all in all, everything was great! Sulit pa dn sa money. Will def come back here and this is our new fave resort / hotel in Tagaytay!

Crosswinds really is good as advertised - having the fully grown pine trees all around makes you feel the air breeze comes from Switzerland. Truly it is an excellent place for relaxation to get away from your busy city life. It however does not have enough amenities if you're looking to unwind while doing some activities. So for the young ones, they might find their time limited as it is also quite far off from the Tagaytay city proper. Think about your main vacation objective before heading out.

First off, they are very friendly. The welcome drinks will already tell you that you made the right choice booking this hotel. The ambiance is simple yet elegant. The heated pool is the best. I mean– how many hotels in Tagaytay have heated pools??? The hotel is not crowded. It’s really great for relaxation. Food. Their breakfast buffet is awesome. Read some reviews here that it’s not that great but, I tell you, I loved it. I’ve been to Bag of Beans several times but somehow I like their bfast in Hotel Monticello. Maybe because even though the choices are limited compared to the ones from Bag of Beans, their food is really delish. My favorites are their champorado, tapa, longganisa (garlicy not sweet) and their OMELETTE... And the croissants too! I added yogurt, blueberry and wallnuts to my croissant. Yummy! Like I said, We’re definitely going back!

Hotel is far from main road, this is a hotel for those with vehicles, else you'll have a hard time travelling. We chose this hotel as it is the only hotel in Tagaytay/Agoda with a family room that can accomodate 6pax in a single room. Staff were accomodating, we were allowed to check-in early and have a rest. My wife and mother in law availed the free massage. it was good and they felt relaxed and rejuvinated. Breakfast was simple plated but very delicious. It was cold weather in Tagaytay during our trip and had fog so it's really chilly to swim in the pool as it's not heated. but being adventurous, I went for a dip at night and felt good in fact haha. Overall, I am pleased with the service and accomodation and if my family is coming along again in Tagaytay, we'll choose this hotel again.

It was a very good stay. It was a very, very time in tagaytay city in the period that we stayed at summit ridge, it was good to know that they a very, very hot shower and hot water at the lavatory to warm us up also the hair dryer... The room itself was very comfortable to stay in. I love the couch by the bed, where you can rest. Unfortunately, the hotel don't seem to have a double glazing to soundproof the room from the traffic noise of the main road outside. It was very noisy road and the room service is a little slow... other than that there is no more disadvantages that we experienced, they have fast check in and check out, with very nice breakfast...

Cannot express how happy I was with the place. We booked the Stillness Luxe room (with a bathtub!) and the place did not disappoint. The room's dim and cool, which is perfect if your goal in Tagaytay is to get some R&R. The staff are nice and helpful too, and the food's delicious. Would definitely come back and would rec to anyone who wants to have the best time in Tagaytay.

The views were sensational. A truly amazing location overlooking the lake. The staff were great and always polite helpful and friendly too. Little fault in terms of customer service. It was a little isolated from the nearest restaurants and nearby Tagaytay city and attractions but it’s a 20 minute tricycle ride. There wasn’t WiFi in the room which we knew about before hand anyway butvwith that view to marvel over, who needs WiFi anyway. All in all a great stay.

Was really awesome! The place was really outstanding. Place was a little far from the city proper, which I appreciate since it somehow translates to better privacy. There were a lot of huge mosquitoes during the dark though (not a huge con, just stay safe and wear mosquito repellent). Food in the venue isn't that satisfactory, but there are a number of good restaurants less than 500m from the vicinity, so it's not that big of a deal. Not to mention, outside food deliveries are allowed. We're really satisfied and would definitely come back

Pros: - Very quiet and peaceful. Perfect place to relax while getting a massage - Fairly near the other landmarks you want to visit in Tagaytay - All the staff were very courteous and helpful - The food taste good ; pricey but good - Lots of activities to do when you're there (farm visit, juice making, coffee roasting, etc) - Room we got was surprisingly very clean (I was prepared for the worst because of the nature theme of the place) - Don't leave this place without getting a massage/spa treatment! Cons: - As with all things nature-related, be prepared for a lot of mosquitoes - Pool is always dirty as well though can't really blame the staff 'cause the place is just surrounded by greenery and leaves, insects and whatnot will always find their way to the pool - Breakfast spread is a bit sparse with only a few options available - I found the massage/spa prices to be a bit on the pricier side so just make sure your budget takes this into account All in all, my wife and I had a fairly pleasant stay.

I booked a lake sight view room for 2 days. and it was the best day ever. Pros for this room: 1. The view. The view of the Taal lake was majestic. Woke up early on the first day just to watch to the sunset and you don't want to miss it! 2. Staff. The staff was very friendly and courteous. They also have a pet dog, Blue that was so cute. 3. Ambience. If you're going for a honeymoon it's the perfect room for you. 4. Location. There's literally a mall in front of the hotel. I had breakfast, lunch, dinner there. So accessible Cons. 1. A bit expensive (but well worth it compared to any hotel in Tagaytay that has view)

We stayed 2 nigths. we arrived past 6:00pm we are from manila. We took bus from Baclaran to Olivares 78php/each then jeepney to Sungay East 11php/each. Hotel is very easy to find. It is infront of "Picnic Grove" locals are friendly they would assist you. The receptionist was so nice. He even give us flyers to check what the city has to offer. our room was clean and cute. good for 2 female travelers. all you need was given they also offer free breakfast with your choice each day. view is so awesome they have pool you can also access free. and Food was great. taste really well. also the restaurant was so cool they offer acoustic nigths and food is excellent you will taste the best. On the menu each city in Philippines has its own food to offer. you have your choices. Siglo has great people and worth paying for. i enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Dont forget visiting taal its the most beautiful experience we had just hire locals coordinate first w/amount. we got boatrides for 1500php and trycikel 500php tagaytay to batangas then try the horse ride 450php plus fee of tour guide which is 500php. tip is optional we gave 300php for horse ride since its not easy going on top of hill. enjoy your stay in tagaytay. From the moment we have learned and experienced Joaquin's BnB service and the breath-taking view (loyal staycationers since 2011), we have never booked any other hotel or bnb in Tagaytay, it will always be Joaquin's Bed and Breakfast. I'd like to commend Ate Marie and Ate Ren and everyone who helped me surprised my husband last August for his birthday (sorry it took awhile to provide feedback). You guys are always helpful and friendly that our stay is always hassle-free and so relaxing. We always consider you our second home/family when we visit Tagaytay and thank you for taking care of us, ALWAYS! I would just like to suggest that you check on your facilities every once in awhile, we may not complain about it, but I am speaking in behalf of newcomers who may notice some issues. But over-all, we will still and will always consider (no second thoughts) Joaquin's BnB as our happy place in Tagaytay :) See you all soon, dala kami ule pasalubong next time :)

We occupied a 2 bedroom unit (9ij) it has 2 bedrooms (as expected) both having a nice view, 2 balconies, a living room, a dining area, a kitchen, a refrigirator and 2 bathrooms each having a water heater. One Tagaytay place as a whole is tourist friendly and centrally located as such you can visit most of Tagaytay's attraction from there (although Tagaytay doesn't offer that much). It also boast a roof top pool, a bit small though but with a view, they have bell boys that are friendly and always willing to help you with your bags, they also have parking spaces but I suggest if you are driving a long vehicle, opt to park outside because their basement parking is a bit small, we brought a Ford ranger and Sportivo and the parking attendant made us park at the basement and we did have hard time getting out. For improvements... Maybe they can have a bidet on every CR, and since we are 6pax they should've provided additional bedding (blankets, bed sheets, pillows etc) for their sofa bed, good thing we brought our own sheets and Lysol just to be sure although the place is clean it's always a good thing to disinfect the beds first. Some of the light bulbs aren't working as well so the room is kinda dim. We did experience some miscommunication with the caretaker which caused us a bit of inconvenience, but that can be easily addressed. I give this place an 8.00 rating

this 4-room establishment is becoming popular for tagaytay weekend getaways. our stay coincided with a very wet, rainy weekend but this place was nothing but cozy, and just plain wonderful. the rooms are located at the lower level of the cluster of restaurants. there are 2 private entrances going to the rooms. the room that was assigned to us was the montauk suite. it was huge. it had 2 queen beds, generous room furniture and a mini bar. the room opens to a large veranda that had an amazing view of taal volcano. it was as if the volcano was at an eye-level! the bathroom is also amazing! it has twin sinks which is a nice touch. shower cum bath tub is large. the rooms came with breakfast -- not the typical filipino breakfast, but more continental. very very good too. daily bed turn down service was also a nice touch. adorable little beanie toys are left on the bed to wish you a sweet dreams.

The Carmelence Lodge was a very excellent choice for our group's two-day stay in Tagaytay City. We couldn't ask for more.. . The staff welcomed us warmly and attended well to our needs. It was very close to the venue of our conference and so we didn't have to hurry so much. And of course, the price was just right and reasonable since breakfast was inclusive . Highly recommended .

I went to Tagaytay for a short vacation outside the city. I've been to Tagaytay many times so my main purpose was to enjoy the weather, stay in bed, and just have a slow weekend. This hotel was perfect for it. I was lucky enough to get a room with a small veranda / balcony looking out to the terrace area (the room name was "Ibon" - English for "Bird"). I didn't even use the aircon and just had the sliding doors open the whole day. It was a quaint, clean, modern room, and I loved the fact that the walls were lined with artwork. The rooftop grill and drinking bar was also awesome, if you're travelling with a couple of friends, this is an amazing chill spot at night. The breakfast was plated (not the usual hotel buffet style) and you get to choose from a set of items. It was not that much, but you can order additional items anyway. The best breakfast item? The unlimited tsokolate (hot chocolate) drink and kapeng barako. Awesome hotel overall. Will come back any day.

villa ibarra is an exemplary example of comfortable hotel in tagaytay city suitable for business travelers, tourists, couples plan to get married and locals alike. on the day of our arrival, when i drove into the compound looking for the parking, great service was already evident, it came in the form of helpful security guards ushering me to the appropriate parking space. the lobby lounge located on the ground floor is magnificent; i was captured with the picturesque and breath taking scenery of taal volcano. when i check-in, staffs are very attentive and friendly which makes us feel more comfortable. the rooms are spacious, clean, elegant and stylish. unlike most hotels in tagaytay city, the size was not an issue. i stayed in a 2 bedded room and fit 4 people more than comfortably. moreover, the place was very relaxing, the view was so amazing and all you have to do is to have some quite time with nature. high speed wireless broadband internet connection is free and caters exclusively the hotel guests. villa ibarra is very artistic with space, comfort and efficiency. i had a great experience and would definitely come back and stay here again! oh! i would like to say thank you to all the friendly staffs there and see again very soon! god bless and more power!!!

This time we looked for a place away from the main highway so we can get away with the human and car traffic, and I guess we just hit the jackpot. This place is the best place to be- not far from restaurants, parallel to skyranch (you can actually see the ferris wheel from the balcony), just a ride away from the places you want to be, near mahogany market for the freshest harvest, and of course, Tagaytay's bulalo. And location is just the icing. We were welcomed by the best staff who assisted us and let us check in quite early because we came in at around 9am. And when we got into our room, we were greeted by the sweetest clean smell. it's as if you're in a 5-star hotel. And the linens? Best linens I have to say. Though you need to be extra careful not to soil the linens because they might have to charge you. The restaurant downstairs offers a number of choices for your free breakfast. They also have the best crew who caters to our requests which sometimes are not in their menu. They have karaoke for wednesdays and thursdays, and live bands on fridays and saturdays. But since it we were there during the Holy Week, they showed Christian films instead. Overall, it was one of the best places we've been too, if not the best. Miss Anne, was the most accommodating. :) Thank you.

when we first arrived at days hotel, we were impressed by the small but cozy-looking lobby. the first thing that went through my mind was "this is going to be a comfortable stay." we didn't get our room immediately so while waiting, we enjoyed the services of the hotel such as free internet access at the lobby & etc. after we settled to our room, we felt a feeling of "home away from home". the view from our room was breathtaking. we got to see the famous taal volcano, which is the smallest active volcano in the world. there were plenty of amenities the hotel has,such as a 2ft children's pool, a bubbling jacuzzi and a 3-5ft adult's pool. we had an unforgettable experience, especially the kids, they enjoyed a lot staying at days hotel...for sure we'll soon visit again tagaytay city..

I have stayed in several hotels in tagaytay and so far this is the best I have been so far. The rooms are elegantly designed with a touch of class. The rooms can easily compete with 5 star hotels but with just a fraction of the price. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, they seem to take care of details in terms of cleanliness. The bathroom amenities are available only upon request, but this is understandable because, even other countries do that too, hotels also do their part in saving the planet by minimizing the use of plastic containers, etc. The staffs are friendly and ready to serve with a smile. Breakfast is good, I love the tapa! The location is also right in the center of Tagaytay which is good. Overall, this is a hotel that will give you value for money. This is definitely the best hotel in Tagaytay. Definitely, I will book this hotel again in my next Tagaytay trip.

Before my hubby and I went to tagaytay, we searched first for the different hotels in the city and read the reviews about them. We got interested when we learned that Theodore hotel has different room themes and that their rates are affordable. And so we booked this hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, we were received by their friendly staffs. We were informed that we were to stay in the modern Filipino room. The room was nice and spacious. We felt at home upon seeing it. However, that night, I got curious on how the other rooms looked like. And so the following morning we asked the receptionist if it would be okay to transfer to another room for our second day. I was really happy when we were informed that we can transfer to another room. That room was the Whimsical Garden. This room was also good though I find our first room nicer. But the idea of having different themes for the rooms is really cool. Another good thing about our stay in Theodore is that they have delicious breakfast. For day 1, I got bacon + hashbrown and hubby got their tapa. For day 2, I got tuna and cheese omelette + hashbrown + pandesal while hubby got their hungarian sausage. All of these foods come with coffee + juice + fruits...so yummy! For sure, we will go back to Theodore hotel soon.

Long story short, our honeymoon booking at a Batangas resort was moved from April 22 to April 25. We were to be married in Tagaytay and the night before the wedding, I was still looking around the city for bed and breakfast inns or hotels that's nice enough to be our interim honeymoon venue, but not too pricey to break the bank. After several hotels and bed-and-breakfasts which are either booked for the weekend or are too pricey or not that nice, I ended up in Wind Tagaytay and The Concierge specially opened a vacancy for a Premium Room. With Agoda discount plus a further discount from Citibank, it was truly value for money. We enjoyed the homey feel of the unit (Tower 2 Unit 1636). There were no toiletries and floor rugs like a typical hotel and the bidet holder was installed upside down, but those are not deal breakers. We liked the view of Taal from the dining area; we were treated to a view of enveloping fog on our second day. Its walking-distance location to a Robinsons supermarket was very convenient as we prepared dinner and breakfast the next day. Highly recommended for newly-weds who would probably enjoy the indoors more than the outdoors during their first two days of honeymoon ;)
