great place, go there”
We spent quite some time at this place and we even decided to stay a couple of days longer here. Hualien is a very a place where you can do a lot and Success168 is a great place to stay. Although the staff didn't know english that well, they showed great interest for our well being, organizing things we as tourists wanted to do, like trips to Taroko Gorge and many other things, even things more complicated like hiking trips for which you need a permission. There was no western style breakfast buffet, but we got something chinese everyday. If you expect to eat more for breakfast, you can walk outside 100m and there will be a shop where you can buy something to your liking. The WIFI was neat. We could also wash our clothes. Great place to stay, would come back any time.

Very comfortable stay”
Everything is perfect, I really enjoyed my 5 nights stay at Success168. Although it is not near the train station, the owner provide free shuttle as long as you inform them in advance. Will definitely stay here if I am back Hualien and also recommend to all my friends. Thanks for the great stay there!

Perfect all rounder - You have found what you are looking for”
We stayed for 4 nights and the stay was perfect. Hosts are awesome - kind, caring, helpful, full of life and takes the initiative. Rooms are spotless - outside shoes taken off before entering the building and was recently renovated with a clean look and clean smell. Location was excellent - we walked to most locations (inc one mid-elderly). 10 min to night market/beautiful seaside. Decent food choices as soon as you leave the building. Supermarket a few minutes away. Our stay was forecast to have thunderstorms and rain throughout. It rained on the first two days and some drizzles on the second yet we still had a blast thanks to Success168. Recommended.

Kind and friendly owner”
Owner brief us nice and well on the places of interest nearby. Walking distance to night market and the famous miaokou red tea 廟口紅茶。15 min away from hualien train station. Breakfast provided need be claimed from nearby breakfast shop that is a stone throw away. A great place to stay with affordable price.

Excellent hospitality and warmest welcome as expected from Taiwan people ”
I was staying with my family included my 100 years old grandma, my parents and our maid from HK for 5 nights. We enjoyed our stay a lot! The owner family was so helpful and so kind to us, they came to pick us up at the airport, prepared a plastic chair and anti-slippery mattress for my grandma in the bathroom, sought for the best price private tour service for us, booking the taxis and farewell us even in the early morning at 6! We have made good friends with them. They have elevator which is uncommon for homestay hostels. The breakfast place they offered free coupons were also very great with a wide variety of choices, the location is not like so central but not too far from the night market, walking for us were not a problem at all. The place is clean. The only two things could be improved, the shower room has no curtain because of hygienic reason as the owner explained to me and not enough wardrobe for hanging up clothes. It will be great if there is microwave, but the food stores around the homestay are just excellent, not a huge problem. But I can absolutely tell you that all the things they offered, definitely compensate those minor stuff! We had a great trip staying there!

Love the new and clean room with accessible location to Hua lien night market. ”
This is a family own small hotel which is suitable for young children and elderly travel. The facilities is very new and I like the idea that they use smart door to enter the hotel, the room is quite nice and feel like home. The manager is a beautiful lady and nice manner. Walking to night market is within 10 mins. The only draw back is the breakfast is very limited to Porridge only, so not really for westerner, but I think they might be able to accommodate if you are a group of Westerners needed toast and bread.

Recommended no frills place”
About a 10-15mins cab ride from the train station. Breakfast is outside of the B&B, less than 5 mins walking distance. We were given coupons about NT50/pax/day which you can use to pay for breakfast. Might have to pay more if your order exceeds the amount on the coupon but NT50 is enough to get a simple breakfast. Food was quite good, drinks so-so at the breakfast place. Staff was very friendly, and helpful. Need to take off shoes before entering the building. But also provided indoor slippers if needed. Room cleanliness is ok, might be a bit of a squeeze if everyone brought bigger luggages. Room was not refreshed during my stay but clean towels and bottled water provided daily. Trash is emptied. No curtain blocking the shower area from the rest of the bathroom so you have to be careful not to wet your clothes/towel on the rack.

We actually booked a smaller room at first but the owner upgraded our rooms to a bigger one for free as she saw how large all of our luggages were. The place is very clean and tidy as well and the owner is very nice and friendly! The location is quite a walk (roughly 10mins) to the Dong Da Men nightmarket though.

Nice and comfortable”
An elegant lady welcomed us when our Taxi arrived at the hostel's doorstep. She kindly recommended us to the Dong Da Men Night Market. The service is better than a five-star Hotel. It's a newly renovated Hostel. The facility is nice and clean, comes with Laundry area. I'll surely come back if I go to Hualian again.

We are happy with the room. It's clean and neat and the bed is comfortable. The shower is good too but the water drainage in my bathroom is not so well. We were given cash vouchers to have breakfast at a shop nearby. Overall it's a very good stay for the price we paid.
