Shinagawa hotels & places to stay

The location is great. It is only 3-4 minutes walk to Gotanda Station if you enter from Tokyu Department Store and 5-6 minutes walk if you enter via the main entrance. A stone's throw away from Meguro River where it is lined up with Cherry Blossoms during Spring. There are many restaurants nearby and it is near Shibuya, Shinagawa and Tokyo Station. They have a great, relaxing view at the Reception on L15 and a great Spa on L16 where you can relax after a long day. My only complaints is that they should increase their washing machines to 5 or 6 instead of 2. They could make the Spa more relaxing by adding bamboo trees. There was a whiff of bad smell in the room and hallway which we could look past. We left the windows open and it felt better. On the last day, the house keeping left the black blanket (folded up) on the floor instead of putting them on the bed. If it wasn't for the smell and blanket, we would have given it a perfect score. We will definitely stay in this hotel again.

At first I was worried about the location of this hotel in Shinagawa, as I felt it wasn't central enough. I was WRONG! This hotel is close to the station (10 mins walk max) - with small supermarkets nearby. There are also two big supermarkets very close by & the room cost is pretty amazing. The breakfast buffet is a really good deal - loads of choice including western & japanese style food. Was very impressed.

I like to stay in this hotel because of the location and the subway.although it is pricey but it easy to go around the Tokyo using subway train.You can go to Odaiba 2 stops by Subway. You can also go to Disneyland by subway(Take Subway -Rinka line going to Shinkiba Station. 5 stops ).Then exit from the subway. buy JR Keiyo line ticket and take the train.at the top. the train is in the left side if you walk the staircase. going to top.The train towards Maihama Station. only 1 stop.going to this hotel is easy.from Narita Airport. Take the NEX train going to Shinagawa station.before you buy your ticket ask the japanese counter that youre going to Shinagawa Station... i think it is 15 stops. from Shinagawa station.get off, and buy new train ticket (Yamanote line )train towards Shibuya Station.1 Stop at Osaki Station then transfer train (Rinka Line) from Osaki Station going to Shinagawa seaside station. then exit D. then walk then cross the street.that's the hotel.

I had requested for a twin bed, double occupancy. I was given a double bed, double occupancy~believe there were none available on the day of our arrival. We stayed 10 days. However, my friend in Japan , who speaks Japanese helped me communicate my needs, as i was traveling with a high functioning, autustic son. There was an opening, the second day we were there and we were given the twin bed, double occupancy. It was so much better! I just wish there were more staff who could speak English. Yurie Moriyama was good at speaking English and very nice, but i still had difficulty communicating with her. Because the hotel is brand new, it was very clean and nice! The location of this hotel is 5*! Right around the corner is the ASAKUSA SUBWAY line that makes traveling anywhere in Tokyo a "breeze". Japan's transportation system is awesome! Also, i needed to extend our stay and the Customer Service person that i spoke to ,. via phone with Agoda, Chris,was very kind and patient. Overall, i'd rate my stay there between a 3-4 * . Because these APA hotels are mainly for short stay, business travelers, there was no closet or drawers for clothes. We lived out of our suitcase, but the excellent location of the hotel made up for it. My son and i enjoyed our stay at the APA Hotel Shinagawa Sengakuji Eki-Mae !

The hotel is conveniently located within a 10 mins’ walk (disclaimer: you will have to walk uphill but it’s a gentle upward slope) opposite shinagawa hotel. Everything else is satisfactory, except that you will have to walk uphill back every night. However, when u are pulling your heavy bags at the end of the stay, the way back is downward slope which is a plus point. I’ll want to stay at said hotel again.

This hotel is so close to station, you can easily see it from Gotanda Station platform. Close to 2 stations gate, JR Yamanote and Toei line. Good location for travellers who wish to go inner loop, Tsukiji Market, Asakusa and Shinagawa for Shinkansen. But beware of small room size, we booked 10 sqm room and it's very small with low ceiling. Tall travellers need to consider this, the ceiling is about 1.9-2m.

the best hotel we stayed in.. the bed was so comfortable.. the room was spacious.. there was even a small balcony.. free shuttle bus service from Shinagawa station to the hotel, airport bus limousine drop off/pick up at the hotel, pick up place for most japan tours, and shinagawa station is the best station to be at.. better then shinjuku.. about shinagawa there were plenty of restaurant, bars, shopping centre, everything is available and convenient.. only complaints is there is plenty of crows outside which was very noisy if we were to keep the window open... shinkasen will also stop at shinagawa.. close to haneda airport.. location is perfect and peaceful.. as compared to shinjuku.. perfect hotel and location..

Lovely, clean hotel with relatively big rooms, great for small families with children, small groups and couples in the heart of Tokyo. Great accessibility to major areas of attraction with Shinagawa station just 7 minutes leisurely walk away. For those who do not prefer walking, hotel provides shuttle to station at 30 minute intervals. Hotel staff are friendly, helpful and always polite. Big alluring factor of this hotel is the lovely big garden, filled with greenery and flowers and train station with easy connectability to many subway lines. The garden and hotel is also connected to the newer Grand Prince New Takanawa Hotel. Quiet and tranquil location with Wing Takanawa shopping arcade, eateries and grocery store at Shinagawa station nearby, makes for great convenience away from the usual business of Tokyo. It takes only 20 minutes to Ginza, Shibuya, Shinjuku, 25 minutes to Ikebukuro and Yokohama, 30 minutes to Tsukiji Fish market straight or with connecting subway lines from Shinagawa station! My family enjoyed our stay and thanks to Agoda for the reasonable rates too!

Great spot on the Yamanote line, three mins to Shinagawa Station for NEX & Shinkansen. 15 mins to Harajuku and about 17 mins to Tokyo Station but transfers at Shinagawa are much easier. Lawson is right at the entrance and open 24 hours - hotel is above a supermarket, Daiso and many good value restaurants and fast food options. Rooms are basic but good value and staff were very helpful. If you don't have the JR Rail Pass and plan to do some exploring for a day around Tokyo you can buy the "Tokunai" pass from the ticket machines at Osaki Station for 750 yen which covers you all around Tokyo for your day's travel.

It's just a two-minute walk for the Oosaki railway station so you can get to anywhere in Tokyo very easily. Nearby are convenience stores, supermarkets, book stores, pharmacy, etc., so you can also get whatever you want pretty soon. One stop away from the Shinagawa station, where you can connect to the Haneda International Airport within 15 to 20 minutes, so it's a great choice for people whose flights are in and out of Haneda. We lived in a double room on the 10th floor. The room was a bit small, but not as small as in other business hotel, and we two people had no problems sharing the space there. Wifi is a bit unstable in our room though, but not a big issue overall. In general, I do highly recommend this hotel for staying in Tokyo.

Good location, reasonable price and professional staff. The price is lower than other hotels in the neighborhood but they haven't cut the comfort and necessities. Tea, coffee and bathroom amenities are optional (pick them up at the lobby) and there's no associated restaurant or workout facilities. Keikyu, however, has several other hotels in the area (e.g., the Shinagawa Goos which is across the street) that provide additional services. For example, I used their business office. Over just what I need in the middle of Shinagawa.

Probably due to cost saving, your room is only cleaned once a week if you stay there more then 7 days. Since I'm staying for 9 days, this is the only thing inconvenient for me as I bring back a lot of food & drinks and the rubbish kinda pile up. You can get the housekeeper to clean it if you see her in the hallway though, so it's not really much of an issue. I really love that the hotel has a microwave and a washing machine equipped with dryer. This means you can do your laundry when you're back in the hotel at night and don't have to wash that dirty pile of clothes when you're back in your home country. If you're on a budget, the microwave also helps since you can get food from department store and heat things up. TV, fridge, safe is provided as well. The toilet seat is equipped with an automatic heater which is kind of awesome. On top of that, the hotel is located only 3 to 5 minutes walk away from Gotanda station (Yamanote line), as well as Asakusa Line right at the doorstep, so it is really easy to get to places like Shibuya, Harajuku, Ikebukuro, Shinagawa, etc. There are lots of good food nearby, as well as a departmental store just around 10mins walk away. 7-select is just next to the hotel and there's a Family Mart right across the street. The hotel is not sparkling, but generally clean. Would I recommend it? Yeap!

Very convenient go get around since the monorail is only less then 5 mins away. Easy access to major cities like Shinagawa, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza, etc. I will definitely recommend this hotel to any gals travelling by themselves who does not have their hubands around to carry their heavy lugguages. The hotel is connnected to the monorail so you can roll your lugguages and take the elevator all the way from your room to check in counter at the Haneda Int Airport. I was carrying a big handbag and 3 check-ins. I only had to struggle for 20 mins from my room to the airport check in. The rooms have a great sea view over looking the bridge and tokyo tower. Clean as a 5 star should be and amenities all provided for. Basically you only need to bring your clothes. I love their shampoo and facial wash. Love their hot water kettle as it is also a hot flask. But if you want coffee you will have to get it from the 7 Eleven downstairs. It was raining 2 days before we left and I was so glad we stayed at this hotel as it is sheltered from out shopping at major train stations and all the Haneda. Staying dry is very important for me especially during this cold winter in February. I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Located few steps from Oimachi JR station (Keihen Tohoku, blue line), this modern hotel is everything you could want. Surrounded by restaurants, shops and malls, it's a great option in a not so crowded area. And still it's one station from Shinagawa station where you can catch the NEX train to Narita airport, the shinkansen or change to the Yamanote line. That closeness is wonderful while carrying a large suitcase in a public crowded train. The staff is bilingual, very kind and efficient. The hotel is modern and pretty and the rooms are a little narrow but within the standard for Japanese hotels. There are several restaurants in the same building, even a Denny's which is a good option for breakfast, a Family mart, a Can Do store to buy trinkets and few other stores. The hotel also has a coin laundry which is very useful. In overall, it's a wonderful option near Tokyo highlights but in a not so crowded neighborhood.

The hotel is right by a nice park, has a free shuttle to Shinagawa station, and has a Family Mart right on property which makes it very concenient. The amenities and the room size was better than other Tokyo hotels but I already expected that from a Marriott chain. What made our stay here very memorable was the friendliness and service of the people/staff of this hotel. They were all extremely pleasant and genuinely nice. There was an issue with our reservation, which was not Marriott's fault but more due to an agoda booking error; but the staff went out of their way to ensure we were satisfied. Definitely would recommend this hotel!

The hotel is conveniently located near to JR Shinagawa station. I stayed there for a night before leaving for Haneda Airport. It is a direct train from Shinagawa to Haneda Airport. The rooms was small and a little old, but it was clean and comfortable. There were toiletries available both in the room and downstairs at the lobby. The staff that served me spoke fluent English and was very polite. While it isn't located in popular areas like Shinjuku and Shibuya, it is a good place for people who are looking for a hotel in the city and yet easy to reach from the airport.

I had a job interview around Shinagawa Station so I was very satisfied with convenient location. Hostel is maintained so clean, staffs were super kind. Lawson is a few steps away from the hostel but remind that you're not allowed to have any food inside the capsule - you can use the lounge on 7th floor which is so quiet. You're not allowed to put your suitcases upstairs so you should put your luggage at the first floor. You're not allowed to stay in the building from 10am to 1pm. (even at the lounge on 7th floor, and you should put all your items you took inside the capsule to the locker, it's like checking in and out everyday) I think this rule makes the hostel so clean but it was significant demerit for me because I had to find somewhere I could have taken a seat until the right time I supposed to have an interview. Anyway, it was amazing experience using the Japanese Capsule hotel.

I will without a doubt be staying at The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo again. The rooms were big, even for a Western hotel. The staff were very attentive to our needs and almost everyone spoke a degree of English. The lobby décor was absolutely beautiful, although the interior of the rooms appeared a little dated, however I like vintage style so this did not bother me at all. The bathrooms have plenty of space, as well as jet tub and huge shower to boot. The toilet is separate which I think is great for a hotel, and there are took large vanity mirrors with adequate light for making yourself up. As a girl, I felt like a princess in this hotel. The location is flawless - across the road and around the corner from one of the most major JR stations in Tokyo - Shinagawa Station. You can get virtually anywhere via the Yamanote line which connects to Shinagawa. You don't need a shuttle service to and from the station because it's just so close. The Airport Limousine bus also makes hourly stops at this hotel so be sure to head to the bell desk and book your tickets! It's far easier to get to Narita Airport this way, much more comfortable, and significantly cheaper than hiring a taxi. The room service is expensive and the portions small as in any hotel. However, they do a delicious American Breakfast - make sure to try the sausages, they're delicious! If hotel breakfasts aren't your thing, there is a McDonalds with typical breakfast options and McCafe coffee down beside Takanawa Wing. Very close! Again, the staff were great. They came to clean our room every day and very carefully worked around our stuff, and when I wanted to mail some things they did all the hard work for me. My experience at The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo was unforgettable, and easily the best hotel I've ever had the privilege to stay at! I would definitely recommend The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo to anyone looking to stay in the Tokyo are

It's short distance from Kita Shinagawa Station and walking distance to Shinagawa Station. So access is convenience especially when you arrive late nite from Haneda. The room is clean but all amenities incl microwave are available. Coin-operated laundry at basement. They don't do the cleaning during your stay but you can exchange for towels as many as you like so it's fine for us. Suggest you try Tempura Uejima, a small restaurant on street behind the restaurant, authentic local restaurant.

We needed a clean, comfortable bed close to Shinagawa and that’s what we got. Location is literally 20 steps from Shinbanba station which is two stops from Shinagawa (only on the local, but still). Lobby is nicely appointed, bed was very comfortable, bathroom very clean, room was standard Tokyo Tiny but fine if all you want to do there is sleep. Breakfast was a coupon at the coffee shop next door that got us a nice breakfast sandwich and drinks. Nothing fancy but decent value for the money.

I stayed here for 2 nights in mid June for a conference in a nearby conference center. This hotel is a 5 minute walk from JR Oimachi station. There are many shops and restaurants around and easy to get to bigger stations such as Shinagawa. The room was small, but fairly clean. The staff was nice and very accommodating. I original accidentally booked a single smoking room and they were able to switch me to a non-smoking room no problem. The telephone in the non-smoking room did not work, which was probably why it was available. I recommend this hotel if you have a business trip or some other plans in and around Shinagawa/Oimachi.

Pros: Very close to train stations mainly the Yamanote line which goes into Shibuya, harajuku, Shinjuku. At the same station you can take the connecting line to the asakusa Line which can take you to the tsukiji market or haneda airport. Staff is very friendly and nice. Cons: close to the stations so you can hear trains at night although it's not too loud. Shared showers can mean you might have to wait a bit of they are all occupied

I chose this place because of the location and also, they offer single private rooms for a good price! The private room was small but just enough space to make myself relaxed having my own room. Everything at this location was pretty basic, but they had everything I needed. Easy access to the airport and also to the city was convenient. I will for sure consider staying there again! :-)

Everybody thinks to know that Japanese people are friendly. But this this is not the case for all of them can easily experienced at this hotel. The staff at the reception behaved in a way I have never seen before in another hotel than Toyoko Inn. The most annoying thing was, that they offer to stay longer in the room than 10:00, which is when room cleaning starts. But already when asking to do so, they clearly show that they don't want one to do so. In one case it was agreed at the reception that I can stay longer, but shortly after 10:00 I received a phone call asking me to leave the room immediately. The only advantage of this hotel chain is the price
