Comfortable Stay with Friendly Staff.”
I would like to highlight that the Resort's location indicated on Agoda's map is inaccurate. The Resort is actually located on the other side of the town, at the foot of Gunung Sibayak and within the hotspring area. Other than that, the stay in Rindu Alam Resort is pleasant and enjoyable. The staff is friendly and helpful but do note that they do not speak any English at all. The Resort mainly catered to the locals who visit for the hotspring bath. Next, the room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom does not have a shower head and wash basin. It only comes with a water tap. It does not have warm water as well. Last, the Resort is located very close to Gunung Sibayak and one can make a short hike up to the Volcano and explore the crater.

not bad”
We choose this resort because there are no more available room in any berastagi's hotel that can be booked online during our travel date. We're a little bit scared because of the bad reviews about this resort. This resort is around 15 minutes driving from pasar buah berastagi. But everything was changed! We're totally the impressed with the staff that is very polite, helpful and cooperative. She accompanied us until the room, setup the tv channel, provide hot drinks and give a big discount for driver's room. All the staff are very polite. They even send the breakfast to our room and dinner to the pool. The food is not so good. But we enjoy nite hot spring.

Right next door the Sibayak vulcano but deserted”
Very friendly staff but no facilities for breakfast or diner. The "village" is kind of a spookey town, which was fun in a strange way. To get there is an adventure. It's 20 minutes from Bersastagi. Bus stop: "Simpam Dolou", then get a motorbike, good fun. Village is called Semangat Gunung. Rindu has its own hot springs. Put off your silver before dippimg iin!

More of a camp than a resort”
Not exactly what I expected from a 'resort'. The use of the hot springs was nice (once I'd realised that I needed to be in T-shirt and leggings to go in the pools), but the room was very basic - although there were two taps, one for cold mineral water and the other for hot water off the volcano, there wasn't exactly much of a bathroom to appreciate it in. To me a good indication that the owners have got their priorities wrong was that there was a TV in the room, but no mosquito net, though fortunately there was somewhere to hang my own from. Overall, although it's in a nice location, the full price seems a lot for a mattress on the floor and a squat toilet, with or without the hot water.

Hot spring motel near Brastagi”
If you like scenic view, and virgin environment, so this is the place. There are abundant natural hot springs surrounding the motel, and the cold weather, montain view makes you feel you are out of the ordinary world; truly a sight. It reminds me of my journey to the countryside of Japan. Despite the motel facilities are limited, the service is adequate, and the family who runs this business welcome us nicely. Don't forget to being your thickest jacket or sweater, a pair of good socks, to keep you warm especially during night time.

Not A Lovely Place ”
This is the very terrible place of Resort, the weather is good, but the environment is very bad. The place and the room that we view in webpage is totally different if compare with the physical look and compare with what we see in the webpage. The place is very very noisy, i don't understand that why the person in charge on the Karaoke and on the music from the night till midnight and from midnight till the morning. This is not the relax place. The Food here is no good also. The room is dirty and dark. the toilet also the same , very dirty and dark. Outsite the room there is a frog and there is a cockroach in the room too. This is the Resort consider no good. The price for the resort not cheap too

Local hotel below average standards”
It was only for the two reasons above to stay there. You shall be prepared that it is a local resourt without showers sinks and flash toilet, tiny rooms with inpleasant smell, you shall struggle to get a second towel for the rooom where 2 persons stay (assumption is that you share the towel!). However you can have great cultural experience in the baths. Indonesian people are very kind and friendly, they want to chat with you and even with a linguistric barrier it can be very pleasant experience. Mount Sibiyak is very accessible, if you find a car to give you a lift to the end of the passfble road, the return trip will take around 2 hours.

nice place but poorly serviced”
I booked a villa with 2 rooms. Arrived here quite late i.e. almost at 8 pm. To my surprise, the room filled with mosquitoes. Had to request for mosquito repellent. The condition of the villa was average but to our disappointment the water heating system was not working. Meaning our family members had to take shower using cold water. No bathing utensil supplied not even soap...had to request the next morning. The blanket was smelly and the bed was so soft. bathroom door's lock was broken. Very frustrated with the money spent. Others should avoid this place.

Review on Rindu Alam”
1. You need to pay for entrance fee before reaching the resort 2. The room condition is old and smelly 3. The water in the wash room flooded 4. Very very noisy as the Karaokay is just beside the room and it lasted until 1am 5. Over price 6. Location is too far
