Cozy Hotel In Tagaytay ”
The Potter's Ridge is perfect for those who'd like to avoid the huge crowd and are looking for a cozy place to stay in Tagaytay. It's actually at the outskirts of Tagaytay and is just a few minutes away from the Batangas border which means there's less traffic and less people there. It's also quite close to Calaruega, Antonio's and Sonya's Garden. What I loved the most about The Potter's Ridge was the feeling of being on the clouds when I woke up to a very misty morning. Our room had picture windows overlooking Taal Volcano which gave us a breathtaking view. The hotel staff are also very friendly and accommodated our countless requests. They need a little work on their food though as the Hot Chocolate and some of the breakfast meals didn't quite meet our expectations. We loved their chicken adobo though.

Great place for a weekend getaway”
Potter's Ridge Tagaytay Hotel truly exceeded our expectations, given the price that we paid for our overnight stay (cheaper than most hotels). The staff were very nice and accommodating; they were warm and made us feel comfortable. The hotel and room (bed, comfort room) was well kempt and seems newly renovated/painted. We also enjoyed our breakfast, especially the mango shake and pumpkin soup (though it would have been better if it was creamier). When it comes to room for improvement, I think they should be more careful not to serve their guests with cold coffee (unless requested); the massage service should be improved as well. Also, the bed would have been more comfortable if it was a "real" queen/king sized bed, rather than two single beds joined together. The parking slots were limited too, but they have valet to make up for it. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend this place to our family and friends.

Great service with a smile!”
I only stayed one night at the hotel since I was attending my cousin's wedding for the weekend. It was very clean, I took the room with a view and it was really nice view overlooking Taal Lake. When I had to attend my cousin's wedding about 10mins drive away, the lady owner kindly drove me to the venue. Best of all, she helped me with my makeup for the wedding as well now that's really going the extra mile. The staff are extremely friendly and responsive. Would definitely head back to Potter's Ridge again when I get to Tagaytay next. Though it's slightly away from the main city area, but you could easily arrange for transport to get around to all the attractions.

Great Hotel and Staff”
If you are looking for a romantic and relaxing/peaceful stay, I would recommend this hotel. Hotel facilities as well as the service is great. Hotel is situated about 15-20 minutes away from Olivares. Restaurant closes on about 7pm (or 9pm I guess). The owner is very accommodating and friendly. I consider Potter's ridge as more cozy among other apartelle/hotel in Tagaytay. No scenic view of Taal volcano but the view from terrace of superior rooms are acceptable.

Great view from the room and balcony”
Potter's Ridge is the perfect place for travelers who want to get away from the bustling city. The view overlooking the golf course and Taal lake is very relaxing and refreshing. For students like me, its also the perfect place to study since the ambiance is ideal for deep concentration or meditation. The only downside is the heater in our room wasn't working. Aside from that, I'd definitely go back there and highly recommend staying in Potter's Ridge.

Cozy and comfortable, with a stellar view”
My husband and I spent the night with our 6-month-old boy and his nanny, and we all loved it. First of all, the hotel is located right on the ridge and so the view of the volcano and the lake are just outstanding. It's along the main road too so it's not hard to find. We had a Junior Lakeview Suite, which was really a large-ish room with a big four-posted ber, a daybed, flatscreen TV, table for 2,and some other furniture. It was a lovely space, very cozy and welcoming, almost like staying in someone's well-decorated yet nicely lived-in home. The staff were terrifically helpful with everything from bringing in our luggage to offering us a plateful of scrumptious free cookies upon our arrival. Owner Marissa Potter was around and was very pleasant and solicitous, as if she were welcoming us to her home. The restaurant on the top floor is also a comfortable place to sit with a cup of coffee or cocoa while gazing out at the awesome view. Food is a bit pricey but tasty. Overall, we would definitely stay at Potter's Ridge again.

Very relaxing stay”
I found my stay at Potter's Ridge to be very relaxing, which was what I was looking for in my Tagaytay getaway. The place was really lovely and offered a very majestic view of the Tagaytay mountainside. I just wished they offered some complimentary free water and coffee/tea to guests in the room and also conditioner along with the toiletries kit.

Clean and peaceful”
My wife and I went to Tagaytay for a peaceful overnight stay away from the busy city of Metro Manila. Our stay at Potter's Ridge hotel was really relaxing. The attendants were courteous enough to assist us. The owner, Ms. Marissa Potter was also there and was very accommodating. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely go back there.

"Lovely place with limited amenities"”
My stay at Potter's Ridge was comfortable but not as expected. The hotel is situated at the far end of the commercial district of Tagaytay, in a quiet and sloping side fronting Taal lake near Alfonso, Cavite. Our room was located at the lower floor of the hotel which is nice and quiet, but lack the basic necessities like cable tv, telephone or even a heating pot for tea or coffee. The hotel has a small frontage that has a capacity for parking 5 to 6 cars, which is inadequate during peak season. Otherwise a lovely place to stay especially during the cold season!

Relaxing and enjoyable.”
Relaxing and enjoyable. Our room was spotless with a comfortable bed and clean restroom. The ac was quiet and cold and the balcony view of Taal lake was wonderful. The staff were very attentive and we were supplied with all that we needed simply by asking. The restaurant was clean and had a beautiful view of the Taal lake basin while dining in and looking out or dining on the balcony as we did. The waiter made numerous trips to our table to see to our needs and the food was well prepared and delicious. The barako coffee was fresh ground and brewed and delicious. We will return to Potters Ridge and gladly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced family hotel with cool breezes, peaceful surroundings, a spectacular view and beautiful sunsets.

Simple hotel in a quiet location”
Potter's Ridge is located in the peaceful part of Tagaytay. The room we got was small, simple and clean. Nothing really fancy. Bathroom was clean. It had a working shower with a heater. Hotel seems short-staffed. When we went out in the evening, the main hotel door was locked, and no one was at the lobby - reception area to assist us. Breakfast was okay; just don't get their coffee. Their coffee was really really bad. Staff were polite but lacked communication skills. Maybe they were really really shy, but they really come off as rude most of the time. The only one that seemed trained or well versed in the service industry is the guy who took our breakfast order. Overall, our stay was okay.

A typical type of hotel.”
Actually I didn't like our overnight stay at the hotel because of the service. I was so disappointed because when I read some of the reviews it made me realized to choose the Potter's Ridge but I guess I was wrong in choosing it. I like the food but it is very limited, I like the room and the view from our but we're not satisfied. The staff are friendly but they are not that professional.

great view”
the hotel is built on the edge of the cliff, so it has panaromic view over the lake. we stayed in a room with windows facing the lake. the room is large and clean. outside the room is a balcony. it is very enjoyable sitting at the balcony for the lake view. the breakfast is nice and is served at the restaurant on the top level of the hotel. you can also enjoy great view when eating breakfast. the staff is very friendly and helpful. the only problem is that the hotel is a few kilometers away from downtown tagaytay, you will need to take a jeepney ride there if you don't have a car, and there is nothing to do near the hotel at night. although it's a little bit remote, it's a quiet and peaceful place, great for an escape from the busy and noisy city.

Great Vacation - Very Nice Hotel”
We stayed at a deluxe room (room 305) overlooking the Taal. The view was picturesque even more so when you are waking up to it (the bed was facing a large window with a view of the lake and we also had our own space in the balcony). We were very satisfied with the place. The room was very beautiful especially the bed. Staff were good and easy to talk to. Communication through email before the trip was also very timely. We had our dinner there as well as the complimentary breakfast - the food was great we really liked it. The place is a bit far from the city center (getting around Tagaytay without a car would be costly but buses, jeeps going to and from the hotel to Tagaytay and Nasugbu pass by in front of the hotel) but for those wanting a quiet and peaceful getaway - this place is on top of my list. They did not have wifi (it was not working when we were there) but I had wifi on my phone and we did not mind it much as we did not come here for the internet but for a vacation. Overall this was a very pleasant experience and we would definitely be coming back.

Nice hotel”
Nice, comfortable hotel, located in a quiet part of tagaytay, with a fantastic view of the taal lake. This is one of the best-priced hotel at the ridge side (most of the the hotels on this side are known to be more expensive because of the view of the famous taal lake/volcano, but this one is suprisingly cheap!). It has the ambiance of a cozy coutry-style hotel. Will come again for sure!!

Charming hotel with great view”
A friend recommended the hotel coz it was walking distance to this festival that we were going to Tagaytay for. Check in & check out was fast & easy. Rooms were spacious and clean and the hotel has a breathtaking view. Restaurant had decent & affordable food. Owners were there and very hands on with operations which was great. Staff was attentive. Overall, loved the stay. My only comment is that I wanted to bring my small dog but they charge 850 pesos for that which was strange coz the owners had dogs too. Dog lovers should unite right??

Great Tranquil Getaway”
The owner was so accomodating, she made sure our stay was perfect for our anniversary. The view from the veranda was captivating and relaxing. The place itself is peaceful, away from the clutters of Tagaytay. Technically, I don't think the place is still in Tagaytay, as I remember passing the arch telling me I'm leaving Tagaytay and passing 4 more kilometers before I reached the place, but my wife and I didn't mind that much since the pros overwhelms this single con. Good food, and friendly chef (try Chef Silver's Baked Alaska!), served by very courteous personnel.

Tagaytay weekend at Potter's Ridge”
The hotel is nice and quaint. The view of the Taal Lake from Potter's Ridge is beautiful. An area of improvement would be the bathrooms, and also better lighting in the rooms (a bit too dark for me).
