Home-like Hostel”
The hostel has a welcoming atmosphere which made me quite comfortable once I entered. The butler Jessie is really enthusiastic and presented me all the facilities quickly and clearly. I loved so much the vibe at On My Way Hualien Hostel, what's better is that it's right at the back station of Hualien Train Station. Highly recommended for you if you're planning a trip to Hualien. :)

Very accessible to the train station & the bus station. ”
I arrived at Hualien early evening. I appreciated the staff’s effort to respond to my email & informed me that they are located at the rear exit. The place is not difficult to find. The beddings are comfortable for the price and I was surprised that there is coffee & bread available for breakfast. The hostel is clean and happy that they arranged my first paragliding experience. Thanks ao much and to their friend Ms. Lucy who changed my money since I didn’t have enough NTD with me.

Friendly staffs and clean hostel”
Best place to stay in Hualien I think! I eat together with the staffs, they are my friends now! The place is beautiful and cozy, I actually extend one more night to stay a bit longer, I don't want to leave but I had to. Very clean rooms and toilets. Very comfy bed. Will definitely stay again!

Staff is very helpful and have knowledge about what to do and other activities. Very calm place to work and study at the common area. I loved my stay at on my way hostel. The only inconvenient is that is a little bit far from the downtown and night market. 1 hour walk.

Great place that provides convenience”
A very nice hostel. The whole place is sparkling clean. Room is spacious. A lot of thoughts are put into creating a comfortable and convienient place for guests, e.g. a small basket in bathroom/beside bed (to hold our stuff), cotton buds and pads on the dressing table, panty liners in female bathroom. Host is kind as well. We were arriving after the reception hours but managed to arranged with the host for self check-in. Would definitely recommend to stay there.

Near Hualien Train Station”
Very strategic for the location though it's nearer the train station rather than downtown. If you are up only for Taroko Gorge, then I think this is one of the best spots to stay. Just located at the back of the train station just a block away from 7-11. I booked 10bed dorm, and I actually own the whole room. Though there's one who checked in the night before I checked out. Do note that the hostel don't have elevator, so be sure to consider this if you book here.

Good Value Hostel”
The hostel is located behind the railway station (exit rear of station).It's easy to find, with a good social area. Like most Taiwanese hostels, there are lots of stairs! There is tea, coffee, water and a basic breakfast provided. Dormitory beds have led reading lights and universal power sockets! It's quiet upstairs, with enough showers anf toilets one floor below. The staff are helpful and speak english. A good value choice.

OK place to sleep”
Clean and well-located place to visit Taroko National Park. Staff was nice to give my the password so I could drop my bag when no one was there, but when I arrived, check-in was done in under 2 minutes by a girl who cared more about getting back to her game on her phone (she actually ran back to her phone after a very quick intro). I had some questions about visiting Taroko, but didn't feel I could ask them since she was in such a hurry. Didn't feel too comfortable at the hostel, the population there was quite old and with staff into her game all the time, I felt like an intruder in there. Nevertheless would recommend if you're just there for a night or two to visit Taroko.

Value for money for a short stay ”
Walking distance away from bus and train station and it’s not that great if it’s raining. It will be great if the hostel has a TV at the lobby resting area so that traveller can catch up with news and weather warning.
