This is a sudden decision of trip to take my family to Hualien, and we are lucky to have a reservation at this hotel. The compartment is a general traditional business hotel design, simple but still does not give people a sense of oppression of space. Personal cleaning products are placed outside the bathroom to avoid the inconvenience caused by insufficient space in the bathroom. It is worth mentioning that the floor of the room uses tiles, even in the tropical climate like Hualien, it can make guests feel cool without feeling hot and humid. If you are looking for five-star hardware, Hualien has many other high-end hotels to choose from. If you are looking for a convenient, clean and comfortable place to stay, FISH HOTEL is the perfect choice for you.

The rooms were clean and looked practically new! (We stayed in February 2022). The air inside the rooms was fresh, with essentially no smoke smell, even to my sensitive nose :) I can't comment too much on the noise levels, as the hotel seemed pretty much empty during the dates that we were there.

Not that bad but nothing special”
Typical for Taiwan: even if you arrive less than 1 hr before their official checkin time, they never let you check-in, always asking you to come back after their check-in time. This is nonsense in the country with empty hotels (and not so well managed). In other countries in 90% of cases I am always allowed to check in at least at 11 am or noon without even asking. Room - clean but nothing special. Be aware: there is a huge construction site in front of the hotel, and it's not clear when that will be completed. I asked the hotel staff why you don't mention this at your website, no response. Breakfast - awful. Won't be back.

I don't speak any Chinese and the staff was so helpful and willing to try and communicate with us in English. They helped us book day-trips and accomplish all that we wanted to do while in Hualien. Very clean and comfortable.

The hotel is at the downtown area,very convenient .Anyway,Hualian city is quite small so actually hotel location is not critical. The hotel stuffs and manger are very kind and nice.I would like to stay at this hotel next time.

Good for a overnight stay. The location is quite prime as the main shopping street is few mins walk away. See very few customers during our stay - did not see many people in hotel. Maybe because of change of name - used to call Fish Hotel. Very Chinese breakfast - nice for me who prefer chinese porridge for breakfast but see nobody except 2 of us in the dinning area. Room is nice but toilet is super small. Toilet has no hanger for towel or to put toiletries. Super thin disposal face towel. Overall ok place for a one night stay considering less than Sing price per room (incl bf for 2).

Stayed one night here in early July, hotel is located about 5 mins cab ride from train station. Location considered good, near the central shops area, with lots of food. Check in ... front desk had problem locating my reservation. Weather very hot, and they didn't have the sense to invite the guest to have a seat, offer a drink while they sort out the reservation. Standard double Room is spacious, with a couch. View of the mountains, and a car park in front. Bathroom is not very clean, feels dated. Standing shower, no tub. Asked the frontdesk for recommendations for good local food ... she presented me with a tourist food map. Considered helpful but not excellent yet. Service from the staff are way below those of taichung, which I visited before coming to hualien. Overall experience below average, hotel not recommended.

Inside my room, by the door, the crossover colors of the ceramic floor are black & white which I enjoyed the most. After a busy day, sitting on a sofa in the lobby with free espresso could release my stress. Although dining is still undergoing renovation , might as well hunt for the fresh sashimi at the nearby night market. Suitable for a single business person or backpacker.

The place was located at an convenient location geographically. Perfect for sleeping and then leaving for a day's tour. Food was pre fixed solo when occupancy was low to none. They serve buffet style breakfast when the occupancy rate is high. Lobby isn't air conditioned in the evening to save electricity, lights are sparsely turned on then. Strictly a nice budget hotel, with free parking in the back of the building. You get what you pay for...

Very convenient for shopping ”
The hotel lobby is good design and the people there is also friendly, it looks clean. But unfortunately, i got a big problem that day, we get a room with a bad air condition, we felt hot all day and night. And my children can not get well sleep. We requested to change a room, the hotel manager tried to figure out the air con problem till night, and he finally change a room to me but the time is almost eleven o'clock at night. I believe it is a clean hotel, but the room hardware is so so.. I think my bad experience is a single matter and hopes they fix the air con now.

Very nice, it is my second time to stay there. They are helpful to arrange tours to the beautiful Taroko mountain area. They have only Chinese tours, but you can still see all the great views and take the important photos and walk the trails.

Average and great reception services. The room and hotel are a bit run down. However the staff are helpful and is willing to provide advices to enhance your stay. Nearby the hotel, there are LOCAL eateries such as the pork rib noodles, the famous da zhong bao, the duck noodles. For international travellers, starbuck is nearby, there is a 24 hours Macdonald and even KFC. There is also a local wet markets where locals shop for their daily food.

two of us stayed for two nights. it's very conveniently located - walking distance to the old bus terminal (daily bus to taroko) and lots of places to eat out. room was clean and quite spacious, having huge balcony for you to sunbathe or sip tea. breakfast was simple but ok. free pc use for internet at the lobby.

Nice hotel but not the food”
We mistook the the hotel to be same class as the Four Seasons Hotel in Singapore. Not too bad though. The rooms were quite comfortable and spacious. Reasonable amenities for the rate we paid for. The breakfast was not quite to our expectation. Corridor lights were minimised to save power consumption presumably.
