Great value; great location”
Stayed for 4 nights in classic room. Room was clean and comfortable. I thought there was a lot of value for the price compared to other similar properties I had looked at. The the location couldn't have been any better. Easily walkable to Westminster (parliament), but the Tube station was a stone's thow away to essentially get anywhere you want to go. Extremely convenient. I would stay here again if returning to London

Staff not really updated on general issues”
The hotel is at a perfect location for discovering London. We were just very disappointed on the fact that there a wasn’t internet our room and there was’t really the will to solve the problem. The telephone in room didn’t work, one day we found our door open en the window open(we were away for the whole day and it freaked us out). Ofcourse nothing to do. The receptionist that evening was super friendly and I noticed that she probably was the only one capable of responding to the customers. With also looking in the eyes while talking and not away. I’ve noticed that she was the only one who gave the customers an envelope with some information on the hotel and their stay, something we never received. Ofcourse we had a good stay overall but travelling with kids these kind of things shouldn’t have happened.

What is it - hotel or apartment?”
The hotel is well located close to the Lambeth North on the Bakerloo line and also close to Lower Marsh Bus station for easy access to Trafalgar square, piccadilly square, etc. The front desk staff are nice. Cleaning and change of beddings is 2 and 4 days interval respectively. Be sure to read this as part of the policy before you book. The major problems with this hotel are 1. Before and after stay correspondence is near zero. They do not pick calls and do not reply emails r reply very late. Sometimes never. It seems they choose which emails to respond to and even when they respond or refer you to another of their teams, you might not get a response in two days, that is if you get it at all. Probably grossly understaffed at the customer care end and its not even summer holidays yet. 2. The room telephones were not working. You either walk down to the reception or call Mobile. 3. Apart from the minimal choice breakfast that is provided (you pay for it), there is no opportunity to buy lunch or dinner or any other food. Well, you can get street food on Lower marsh or some shops close by. Sainsbury's, chicken xxx, a thai restaurant, etc. In fact, this is not an hotel neither is it an apartment because you will not find the facilities you normally find in an apartment like microwave, cooker, or anything of such. Whole Marlin in Stratford might be a semi-apartment, this one in Waterloo needs to determine what it wants to be.

The worst hotel I have stayed in a long time”
- checked into hotel alone with 3 big luggages and 6 paper bags. I was told by the lady checking me in that I have to bring my luggages up by myself. She gave me a trolley and said she was alone and cannot help. Usually I don’t ask for help to bring bags for me but this time I could not manage it by myself. I was struggling with the weight and trolley from the lobby to my room, which was the far end from the lift. It looked rather funny for a hotel guest to be handling the hotel trolley along the corridor - no waste bins, no tissue, not many amenities in the room - no top up for the shampoo and body wash - tried calling the reception but the phones were not working - threw away our empty shopping bags without asking, we have not yet checked out and staff shouldn’t be throwing our things away. Ironically, clear trash on the tables were not thrown away. - location is near a hospital and will hear sirens every few minutes

Convenient well appointed hotel”
The Marlin Waterloo is very well-situated 2 min walk to Lambeth North tube station and walking distance to the London Eye and South bank area.The room itself was spacious with a lovely sitting area. The Handyphone with free data was very useful. Bathroom facilities were good with a good shower. Service was good with easy check-in and checkout. There is a Pret a manger right next door and small supermarket close by. All in all, a very convenient, well-appointed hotel.

Great aparthotel”
Marlin Waterloo was a delightful surprise when we got into the room. The fully equipped kitchen is a plus if you're basing yourself in London. There's a supermarket just two doors down the street. The guest laundry is also another bonus. It's free. You only need to pay for the laundry powder and softener. It's £1 each from the dispensing machine. There is a bar but no restaurant on-site. There are plenty of food options around the hotel though. Service at the reception felt a little detached. On the whole, I'll come back to this hotel again if I'm back in London.

Perfectly Located within minutes walk from Lamberth North Underground station”
Marlin Waterloo is located within a few tube stations from London central attractions such as Embankment, London Bridge,London eye and Westminster Abbey. It’s 10 minutes walk to Imperial War Museum in Lamberth. The facility is new and has full kitchen facility to cook a decent meal. Sainsbury is at its doorstep and Tesco Express is just across the road. Halal food is only a few door aways. 7 nights there were well spent

BEST HOTEL WE STAYED IN EUROPE”
April 2018, stayed twice total 10 nights. First stay was in an Executive Room. Modern, clean, spacious and had a kitchenette, hot plates, microwave, sink, small fridge with a small freezer. Free Wi-Fi, wide screen TV and a Google phone to use inside and outside the room ( take it with you when you go outside ). Second stay we booked into a standard room but it was almost the same as the Executive room just a fraction smaller so Extremely happy with the rooms. The rooms are serviced daily. There is also an excellent laundry room in the basement with 3 washer and driers, free of charge. Other things good about this hotel is the Location. Waterloo Railway Station is around the corner, Lambeth North Subway is about 50 metres. There is a Sainsbury market next door, buses out the front, its close to tourist attractions. Its a great hotel for travelers, HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

Great location and good room size for London standard”
Our friend recommended Marlin and we decided to try it for this stay. It is just opposite Lambeth North tube station. Less than 10 minutes’ walking distance to Waterloo tube and rail stations. There are supermarkets and halal eateries nearby. Room is clean and it comes with a kitchenette and a coffee-making machine. Toiletries are from L’Occitane. We got a room with view of The Shard in front and London Eye at side view. Good soundproofing for a good night’s sleep. Overall, we are satisfied with the room and the location.

Fantastic location, cheapest good hotel in area”
I was very happy with this hotel. They are serviced apartments so the rooms are large with a sofa area and a small kitchen area. Perfect for a few drinks before a night out. Extremely clean. Small but very nice bar area in the lobby. Very short walking distance to Waterloo and the Southbank. Only down side was beds were twin pushed together so you could feel the divide. Would absolutely use this hotel again.

Great Location, Nice Rooms”
Overall, we had an excellent experience at the Marlin Waterloo. Great location, nice rooms, friendly staff. Two issues. They have a 'bar' but no bartender. The staff person didn't know how to mix a basic drink. They provide a laundry in the basement, but the dryer wasn't working adequately. Shouldn't take 2 1/2 hours to dry a load of clothes.

Loccitane shampoo, conditioner and bath gel very good. 5 minutes to London North Lamb station. 10 minutes to Waterloo Railway Station.

It's London, so the rooms aren't huge. However, they were well appointed, clean and very comfortable. Location is short walk to Lambeth North tube station and a five minute walk from Waterloo.

A great find in Waterloo with easy access to popular tourist spots. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The room we had came with a small kitchen and everything you could want to prepare a meal cooking on a stove top. Would cerntainly consider returning in the future.

BIG Room (Single bed a bit small so I choose double bed) Near London Eyes and Big Ben Good restaurant and supermarket near by Staff are nice and helpful Refill towel & clean the room everyday! 3mins to station & bus stop I will stay at Marlin again!!Great Hotel!!

I really enjoy staying in this aparthotel. The room is big and near to everything (supermarket, bus stop, underground etc). The london eye is within walking distance! It was cleaned everyday, which is another plus! I’ll definitely book again if i return to London!
