we love the set up of the rooms.. The VIP room is spacious, and we enjoyed having dinner together at the sofa..It's as if returning to our home, having a common area for the six of us to chat and get together. Staff was helpful too in recommending attractions around the area. Unfortunately for Hualien, shops close quite early at around 10. But we love the hualien residents for their genuinity in helping travellers like us.. I met a taxi driver who is on his way home, willing to drive us back to the hotel, and even helped me find souvenir shop that has mostly closed.. We found one shop that hasnt closed yet, and he was willing to wait for us and drove us back to the hotel! Hualien is definitely a city to visit, and this B&B is a good place to rest your soul!

Superb hotel”
The good: The design of the rooms are more of a luxury hotel. The design of each room is different but they are all designed like a King's stay. The location is very near to the shopping district of Hualien and there are organised tours available at the reception. The prices for a one day tour is about NTD 850 per pax but if you want to hire the van and have your own itinerary it is about NTD 3500 (pricey, but it is a van so it can fit 7 or more people. Cheap if you share with other people) The hotel staff is also friendly and asked us if we want to share the van with another group that is going to the same places as we wanted to go, and offered to help us liaise with the group so we all can save money (we are a couple so it is pretty expensive if we book a van) Self service laundry shop is just around the corner (just ask the staff). Breakfast is freshly prepared thick toast with some sort of creamy topping of corn, maybe potatoes, and cheese. The breakfast is the same everyday. When we were leaving the staff offered us McDonalds breakfast vouchers instead because we didn't want to eat the same toast again, so I am guessing that you could ask for the McDonalds breakfast vouchers instead also. There is a water dispenser in the walkway outside the rooms for hot and cold water, so you do not have to boil your own water. The hotel also provides disposable toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, comb, razor, hand soap and also the usual bath soap and shampoo. The not so good: Location is very far from the train station. Looks near on the map, but trust me, take a cab. The fare is only about NTD 120 and you do not have to carry you luggage around. Guests are required to remove their shoes in the lobby and change into room slippers provided by the hotel so I find it a little troublesome, but it also maintains the cleanliness of the place.

Lovely theme & central location”
King B&B is located in the golden triangle shopping district in Hualien city with easy access to food & shopping. However, you need to take a cab from the Hualien railway station to reach the B&B. We liked the theme, and breakfast is simple but very tasty in a lovely cafe. We spend 3 nights here, did a 1-day taroko gorge tour and 1 day exploring the city on our own.

Lovely hotel with good location and service staff”
The room is cosy and comfortable. The hotel staff helps suggest and arrange transport or additional activities in Hualien that you would like to go. They are really helpful even if your booking of these activities come at the last minute. They even help pack breakfast for you if you are in a rush in the morning. The Golden Triangle in Hualien is just around the corner with less than 2 mins of walking distance. The hotel staff helps organize trips to Taroko, water activities and even dolphin watching in the open seas.

Fabulous Hotel Centrally Located”
This is a fabulous hotel right in the heart of Hualien. The decor was awesome and the bed comfy. One of the nicest rooms i have stayed in for a long time. Large flat screen cable tv with some English channels ( movies & US crime shows ). Fast wifi. Had breakfast across the street in the lovely Queen Cafe/Bar. The cook made breakfast fresh and it was lovely. A sort of toasted quiche with salad, soup and hot or cold drink. They should advertise the cafe better as it is beautifully decorated and yet no menu laid out showing what's on offer later in the day. I took the hotel full day tour of Taroko Gorge. Cost only 850 and it was great. I loved staying at this hotel and i will be back.

Lovely themed boutique hotel with friendly staff.”
This hotel is quite a distant away from Hualien Station. Upon reaching the hotel, we were greeted by their friendly staff and their dog. The check in was fast and efficient. The room looked princessy though small. Bed was comfortable. Toilet had a bathtub, just nice for a relaxing bubble bath. Overall the room cleanliness is excellent. Complimentary breakfast meal over at Queen Bar, sandwich, corn soup and banana was served. Staff could also arrange for a driver for the Taroko Gorge Sightsee for about 1700NT for 2, but we opted out as it is a group tour. Upon our check out, they helped us call for a taxi to the train station. Throughout our stay there they staffs were efficient in meeting our needs. I would really recommend King 13 B&B!

Clean, friendly, homely ”
Hotel was easy to locate but was rather far away from the Hualien train station. Guests who choose to walk might need a reasonable amount of stamina. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and pretty. There was a big bath tub in the room and the bed was comfortable. Also, the hotel was located within the city centre and there were many food choices available nearby.

King 13 B&B is one of the nicest boutique hotels we've ever stayed in Taiwan. We couldn't believe how nice our room was. It was clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. For $53USD a night, it was a steal. We've stayed at a lot of hotels in Hualien, but this is our new favorite hotel and we will definitely go back. The cost of your room includes breakfast. All in all, a great, super comfortable stay.

Nice hotel and helpful staff in a perfect location”
Situated in Hualien town center, King 1B&B is really a comfy place to stay in Hualien. Various good restaurants are situated in a walking distance from the hotel. Staff is really helpful in helping your organizing various excursions according to what you want to see throughout your stay. Rooms are clean, new, and beds confortable. I would definitely stay there again!

The reception is very friendly and she helps provide us arrange a local tour package as well as directions to the old street of Hualien. The room is clean with all the facilities provided including hot water, beverages, towels and soap. Breakfast is a short walk away at the City Burger where you can top up your meal voucher if insufficient. The living area is spacious downstairs and you can sit around if you don't like to stay in the room.

Cool themed B&B with great location”
located just a street away from hualien's busiest road, king 13 b&b is a place to stay if you would like to feel the hustle of hualien city. just few minutes of walking distance will bring you to streets full of food and shoppings. king 13 is a themed b&b with interesting amenities. we were quite amazed by the exterior and interior decoration of this b&b. we stayed in a room with a pretty big bathroom with a jacuzzi like structure meant for shower. i was amazed to find such a facility for a b&b. the bed was pretty basic, good enough for our 1 night stay. water dispenser is provided at the corridor so you do not have to boil water on your own. one unique thing about king 13 is they requires guests to take off their shoes at lobby and change to the in-house slippers before you head up to your room. service wise, seems pretty normal, nothing much to credit over here, though we expect friendly service from b&bs in taiwan. breakfast is provided at their sister b&b across the street. food is decent to get the the day started.

Hotel with unique design”
king 13 b & b is conveniently located within the main shopping district of hualien, with many eateries in the area as well; and it is about 10 to 15 mins car ride from the train station. the triple room we stayed in was clean and spacious enough for three ,furnished with a cosy feel to it. a decent breakfast is provided at the queen hotel nearby, part of the hotel chain.

Great themed hotel with wonderful rooms”
Cleanest and most affordable rooms of all the places my family stayed during our one-week Taiwan trip, with a very helpful staff - though some of them don't really speak english. Hualien has a funny smell though (due to the sea), so keep windows closed. Location is also convenient, within walking distance to the main street (even though Hualian shopping isn't great) and many places to eat. Breakfast can get very boring though (soup, salad and toast every day), so I skipped it.

Close to shopping and dining areas i.e. the Golden Triangle of Hualien city. A short taxi ride to the train station. Big room and well furnished. Strongly recommend for either short or medium term stay.

Comfortable hotel with friendly staff”
i enjoyed my stay at king's b&b. room was small, but comfortable. staff doesn't speak much english and i speak no mandarin, but they were kind, friendly, and helpful. i rarely take baths, but after a day of bicycling in hualien, i enjoyed soaking in the wonderful, deep bathtub. breakfast was good and substantial enough that i did not need to eat lunch.

firstly, the hotel is at a good location, near the city and where all the actions are. the receptionist at the counter is polite and breakfast is served at queen hotel opposite the road. but the room had a musty smell upon entering and there are dust at some corners of the rooms and on top of the swing chair in the triple room. but for the price paid, it is quite a steal and the size of the room is quite good wif quite a lot of tv channels. but one thing abt the hotel is tat they stated hotel transfers from train station to & fro but when i emailed them about it, i didn't get any reply from them and 1 day before flying off, i called them up and they asked me to take a cab myself to the hotel. if the service is no longer provided, they should removed it from their website.

Quite a nice hotel with nice staffs”
Quite a nice stay in this hotel and wifi speed was relatively fast. This is more of a minsu and there is a girl staff who is very nice. We want to leave Hualien early and my aunt wanted to buy instant noodle as we decide not to have breakfast in the minsu as we do not have enough time, the staff told us that we are able to takeaway our breakfast and even offer to help us check the train schedule for our ride to Kaohsiung. It is really very kind of this staff. Hotel is also near to the shopping areas in Hualien.
