              Our favorite BnB in Tagaytay”

From the moment we have learned and experienced Joaquin's BnB service and the breath-taking view (loyal staycationers since 2011), we have never booked any other hotel or bnb in Tagaytay, it will always be Joaquin's Bed and Breakfast. I'd like to commend Ate Marie and Ate Ren and everyone who helped me surprised my husband last August for his birthday (sorry it took awhile to provide feedback). You guys are always helpful and friendly that our stay is always hassle-free and so relaxing. We always consider you our second home/family when we visit Tagaytay and thank you for taking care of us, ALWAYS! I would just like to suggest that you check on your facilities every once in awhile, we may not complain about it, but I am speaking in behalf of newcomers who may notice some issues. But over-all, we will still and will always consider (no second thoughts) Joaquin's BnB as our happy place in Tagaytay :) See you all soon, dala kami ule pasalubong next time :)

out of the places i've stayed in tagaytay, joaquin's b&b probably has the best view of taal. we especially loved the garden of the deluxe room. we woke up at 5am just to hang out at the garden, wait for the sunrise & feel the morning breeze. an awesome experience. the bed was super cozy & while on the bed u can open the curtains for that magnificent view. the room has the rustic country feel, simple amenities but i think it was supposed to be that way. not for the zen-fanatics who are into minimalist designs. good service totally makes a stay worthwhile and i'd say, the staff of joaquin's were friendly and accommodating. they serve good breakfast, nothing fancy but definitely filling. nothing much on the menu but we tried some dishes and they were worth it. my son loved the garden setting, the bed and the aviary-type viewing deck. they can improve a bit by adding more lighting inside the rooms. the bathroom was small and very basic. theres a bit of a moldy smell in the bathroom because of the wood material used as a sink but soon disappears once you let the air in. not something to ruin our stay.

Feel at home in this quaint B&B”

A great view overlooking Taal Lake, comfy bed, clean surroundings, big breakfast servings plus great customer service

Joaquin's Bed & Breakfast may be a bit pricey but I booked the hotel because of the good reviews I've been reading. The place did not disappoint--I love the view (but I would've enjoyed it more if I booked a garden room; need to shell out compared to a balcony room). The free breakfast was filling and well-prepared and the room was big and clean. I also love the bathroom with its complete set of towels and toiletries. The dining area was cozy, it's just too bad we didn't get a chance to dine here except for breakfast. Would have wanted to try their fares but my hubby and I chose to venture at the chain of restos just a short distance away. Best of all, the staff was courteous and extremely helpful. Along the way, we had some transportation problems (no available van at Starmall) then standing in line at Pasay Rotonda for more than an hour while waiting for the bus to arrive (commuters, take note :)). After looking for alternative rides and moving here and there, I decided to call the hotel and they offered us advice on which buses to take and where the terminals are. Good thing we were able to ride a van from Buendia-Taft. Nevertheless, their customer service called us thrice to give directions which we truly appreciate. Thanks Joaquin's! I will recommend this place to my friends as well.

              Home Away From Home”

Walking into Joaquin's Bed and Breakfast feels like you are being welcomed into the home of a good friend. Their staff is very helpful and warm. The location is excellent, being along the main road, but far enough away that you don't get bothered by traffic noises. They have an adequate selection for breakfast, and you can choose from a Filipino Breakfast or American Breakfast. We chose Filipino Breakfasts when we were there, and found the servings to be huge. We would definitely stay here again. PROS - Excellent view - Stellar service from the staff - Comfortable beds CONS - Tarnished bathroom fixtures - Overwhelming lavender scent when you first enter the room

Quaint and cozy B and B”

Joaquin's Bed and Breakfast is a good choice for people who wants to have a relaxing getaway with a fantastic view of Taal volcano. One thing that I have to complain is that the room (Room 1) given to us had no hot water for the shower and the faucet. It was a good thing that when we stayed there, the temperature in Tagaytay was not freezing. Nonetheless, showering was a shock to the system. I hope this review will reach its management so that they could fix this problem. All in all, it was a nice experience.

What I love about Joaquin’s: - the view (this place has one of the closest and best view of Taal Lake) - the location (right smack in the middle of Tagaytay City proper, SM is across, Starbucks is beside it, Ayala Mall Serin is just a few meters away, loads of restaurants within the area. So you can just take a walk if you need to grab a bite or buy something) - the friendly staff What I didn’t like: - low water supply in the shower - it’s hard to get a consistent water temperature in the shower - the intermittent internet connection But overall, we enjoyed our stay. Will surely come back again and get the garden view!

Its our 2nd time to stay here in Joaquin's bed and breakfast and same as before it gives us the relaxed feeling we need outside the metro. Garden view is the best, staff are friendly and accomodating specially the ones in the reception area (Marie & Ren). Food is okay, very yummy. And oh, I love their Pandan juice. Location is very good as it's away from the traffic but still relatively close to the restaurants such as Leslie's, Balay Dako, Starbucks (Magallanes area). Will definitely be back soon.

Our stay at Joaquin's was comfy and relaxing as usual. We had stayed here before and so we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. The place provides us with a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's perfect for a weekend escape and very close to the restaurants, spas and churches in Tagaytay. The staff are kind/friendly and helpful. It's a B&B so people shouldn't expect services like what you'd usually expect for a typical hotel. It's more for a getaway without the hassles of large crowds or a "formal" environment like that of a hotel

              my favorite b&b”

great view of taal volcano, clean and spacious rooms, near restaurants and robinsons grocery store

this is my second time at joaquin's bed and breakfast. they were renovating the restaurant when i checked in, so i was not able to try out their food. as for the room, it's big and it's clean. i love the sea motiff and the comfy fluffy bed - one of the reasons why i came back. i like it here because it's a nice place to relax and unwind - get away from everything for a moment. each room has a veranda overlooking taal lake and volcano. aside from this, their bathroom has big mirrors, so no neck craning involved. no hairdryer though. room also has cable and coffee-maker. limited selections in their minibar. but the b&b is strategically located between robinsons grocery and the restaurants near lake hotel. you can actually walk to these places because it's near. breakfast was okay. no wifi in their rooms. supposedly, you can get wifi at the restaurant - but they were renovating it when i last checked in. there are parking spaces available if you bring a car. staff is friendly. overall, it's a great place if you want a good night's sleep or if you want quiet time. the price though is kinda steep but i guess the size of the room and bed and the views make up for it.

Great View. Big and Comfortable bed. Attentive staff.Thumbs up!

Take the garden room, its worth the extra bucks. The view was perfect specially in the morning. Have your breakfast in the garden right in front of your room, overlooking the taal lake and volcano. Each room is unique and the poster bed is big, nice, and comfortable. Breakfast was good as well. The staff was very accommodating, and allowed us to check in early. I will come back in my next visit to Tagaytay. I hope they have wifi in the rooms though. Currently wifi is only available in the lobby.

              Rustic, amazing ambiance ”

I love it that Joaquin's B&B knows how to keep their ambiance consistent starting with their interiors, room furniture and room scent. It's a place where you go to relax and forget about what's waiting for you in the city. Their service is superb too! They help you carry your stuff and ask if you need anything else. They also have cable for your movie marathon needs. Internet connection is fantastic too. I also love that they have a nice all day breakfast menu. My personal favorite is the danguit. They serve it with 2 eggs (they will cook it the way you like it!), achara (love this too!), fresh fruits and coffee. Serving is pretty big. We also tried their beef steak and pork adobo. Both are good too. Will definitely come back.

It's view of taal, the staff, the comfortable silence

For me, my experience in the hotel is one of the best. It was a great place to unwind, just sit and do whatever you want whilst you have a beautiful taal volcano in the background. The service is good, not intrusive. In fact, I would call it homey. Their food is nothing spectacular but they were good and filling. The room was shabby chic style and at first, it smelled a little musty but it wasn't bad after some scents were put in. My only complaint was the lack of wifi connection. We were staying in the lowest level so our own cellular signal was also weak. But everything else were fine: the bed, the sheets, the pillow, the bathroom complete with bidet, the shower. I'll only stay in this place whenever I go to tagaytay. Period.

              Perfect staycation!”

It is the perfect date place for couples because it is private and romantic. The room is the main selling point. It is clean, cozy and smells so good. We really loved the room's interior design. Not your typical hotel rooms, it is so nice you wouldn't want to get out anymore (we booked the deluxe king size or the violet room king size). It would've been the perfect date place if they still have a restaurant. They do not serve lunch and dinner anymore since the restaurant already closed. There is really not much to do at Joaquin's so it is not ideal for big groups or families looking for things to do in the place. It is heaven if you want to relax and de-stress and spend quality alone time with your partner. Breakfast was superb. Loved the coffee. Highly recommended and will definitely go back.
