Unexpected but over my expectations ”
A 5 star B & B. Solely enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts are exquisite. Host family put their hearts & souls into their lodge. Especially their kindness were reachable.

Exceptional hospitality”
The rooms are very well appointed, very comfortable beds, Japanese toilet and a very quiet neighbourhood makes for a perfect sleep. The hosting couple speaks very good English and help to organise everything from whale watching to excursions to Taroko national park. Highly recommended

Purely Memorable, Best of Its Class”
I stayed at 2 different Bed and Breakfast during my stay in Hualien, so I'm able to compare them fairly. Jasmine Orange is definitely a top class. Hosts (husband and wife) are amazing, super welcoming and helpful. My room is brand new, cute, nicely decorated, and has everything I need. The location of the B&B is also very convenient. Breakfast is different everyday serving local taste and fresh fruits. Everyday I went back I was welcomed by the hosts who were chatting with other guests, I then joined the conversation and made some friends. Hosts even extended their help to connect me (the solo guy) with other groups so we could tour together! After staying in another B&B, I missed Jasmine Orange! I would recommend this B&B to my friends if they ever go to Hualien.

Highly recommended and definitely be returned”
The hosts are very nice and attentive to details. The weather when we come was very hot and the room is cool when we arrived - they asked for our arrival time and turned on the aircon in advance. This is a very warm personal touch and once we stepped into our room, it is so clean and with the light music filled in the room. We were tired when we arrived in the late afternoon, but once we arrived the hotel, we have a lot of surprises. The water pressure of the shower is excellent, toilet is clean and the bed is so comfortable. They prepared separate blankets for the double beds, so thoughtful and warm. It's a pity that we only stayed for a night due to our packed schedule, but we will definitely return to Jasmine Orange Bed and Breakfast next time and stay longer. Thanks

Cosy place with fantastic hosts”
We had a lovely stay at Jasmine Orange. Richard and his family were incredibly sweet and accommodating. Richard speaks English very well and was very helpful with recommendations and making arrangements for taxis and travel in Hualien. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Our room was immaculately clean. It’s about $100-150 NTD taxi ride to the train station and night market (about 10-15 min for both). There are some good food options within walking distance too. I have no hesitations recommending this place and would stay here again.

Best B&B we have come across and we have been to many B&Bs in the world! The hosts are attentive and helpful. The room was spacious, modern, homely and spotless. The breakfast was delicious and homemade. The host helped us to plan our itinerary in Hualien and Taroko and helped us to arrange a great driver. Jasmine Orange is a B&B to remember for many years to come!

Taiwan hospitality at it's best”
The owner, Richard, is very friendly and welcoming, and offers a lot of information if you are a first time visitor to Hualien area. The room was clean, cosy and comfortable. Get the 2nd storey big room if you are a young family, as it's a huge room with 2 queen size beds and a lot of space to move around. Homemade breakfast was awesome too. Too bad I'm only staying for 1 night!

First class B&B, with superb hosts!!”
An excellent quaint, superb clean & beautiful place, with very hospitable, warm, friendly, helpful n just simply wonderful hosts, Richard n Wando!! I would highly recommend this place to all heading to Hualien for a holiday! You'll be pampered by their first class rooms, warm hospitality & scrumptious homemade breakfasts (not forgetting their homebrewed coffee!!). My children loved the place & food lots & lots!! Especially their friendly dog, 泡泡。

Great little bed and breakfast when visiting the east coast of Taiwan. We had a wonderful experience with delicious breakfast served by our kind and helpful hosts and clean and comfortable room. In addition this place is relatively convenient and in a quiet location.

Amazing!”
This b&b is lovely, gorgeous location, close to shops, lovely big room with a lot of consideration taken for things guests may need and lovely little snacks and water which is handy. The best part is the hosts though, absolutely lovely couple, who speak multiple languages, and are so considerate and helpful. we made a mistake by not booking our train to taipei early and realized at the last minute all trains were sold out, and we were assisted in getting tickets at the last minute which was much appreciated. Also, we arrived in the afternoon/evening and they were kind enough to arrange a lovely tour guide to take us through Taroko Gorge the very next day at a much better price than we had been able to see online ourselves. overall fabulous place to stay, very relaxed location and close to everything you need, wouldnt hesitate to recommend to anybody or come back again. Thanks guys!

Lovely hosts in very beautiful accommodation ”
We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights and were amazed by the welcoming and friendly hosts! Richard and his wife take every effort to make your stay as great as possible and will give you many tips and insights! The accommodation and the rooms are very clean and cozy, you truly see with how much love and detail they decorate! The local breakfast they prepare freshly for you was very tasty!! The location is very quiet. It’s a bit out of the city center, but there are many restaurants and shops around and Richards helps with organising taxis to the city! We enjoyed the stay very much and would always recommend it!

A Very Pleasant Homestay”
This lovely b&b is located in a quiet district just outside a busy street, about a 5-10mins short drive to the central night market (dong-da-men, 东大门夜市). The rooms are nicely decorated, neat and clean. The hosts are friendly, chatty and helpful, provide useful food and travel advice to guests. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. The whole compound is very well maintained and full of history, considering one of the structures was built back in 1863, transformed from an old farm house. If you are looking for a cosy, no-frills and pleasant place to stay, look no further. I for sure, will definitely look forward to return again. Highly recommended.

Exceptional experience ”
Richard and Wando created one of the best B&B experience I’ve had. The property is located just at the outskirts of the central district, 5 mins taxi ride to the night market. There are several convenient stores and many good restaurants in the neighborhood. It is a nice balance of night entertainment and tranquility. The garden of the property is outstanding, you can tell they put so much thought and effort to maintain a beautiful environment. Breakfast is nice and comforting, I love their homemade sweet treats. Wando made brownies on the first day and macaroons on the second—such time consuming and handcrafted food and service are rare to find nowadays. I will recommend this property to my friends, and we will definitely come back again.

Gorgeous and pleasant home stay!”
Beautiful home with lovely couple host whose serve you a delicious breakfast. We love their signature meat floss egg roll. My family had a very happy time and wonderful night entertainment after having the dinner-Lamb steamboat just located outside 3 mins walking distance . House/Room was spacious in Japanese style and well renovated. What a shameful that we are only staying for one night. A little bit pricey but its worth it.

My family and I spent two nights at this beautiful property. We rented their largest room, a Japanese theme suite. The suite has three rooms and was very spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The owners, Richard and his wife, were very knowledgeable about the area. They paid attention to every detail to make our stay enjoyable. For poor Chinese speaking guests like myself, it was comforting to know that Richard can communicate in English. This is one of the best places that we’ve ever stayed at.
