Nightmare owner”

I booked a room for my staff. When I was checking him in at around past 11pm, the owner, told us they don't accept bookings made through Agoda. I showed her my booking receipt and said I already paid for the room via Agoda. She said she has deactivated Golden Rooms account with Agoda since January 2017. I asked how that is possible when Agoda still accepts bookings for their hotel. She complained that it takes more than 3 months for Agoda to pay them back, I said she has to raise that issue with Agoda directly, and that's between her hotel and Agoda, not my problem. She said it is my problem because I booked via Agoda. So I asked her if I should call Agoda right then and there and demand a room. I also told her she should report Agoda to the Department of Trade and Industry and the local government if she does not get paid back by Agoda. I told her, I will raise my concern with the two agencies immediately if there is a problem with the way Agoda deals with hotels. I also told her I will include her in my complaint and I asked her name. She refused to identify herself, and then by this time, she said she was going to give us the room. Golden Rooms should be delisted or even banned from Agoda. I also booked another room from a much better hotel, also in Tagaytay same night via Agoda, where we stayed. We didn't encounter any problems at all. Agoda should investigate this matter because it is very inconvenient for its clients.

not worthy hotel”

not satisfied, the ventilation in the comfort room is not working, no water heater installed, the old woman in hotel is not approachable. on the third day of our stay, our accommodation is not yet done (around 9:AM) but the air condition is already turn off on the main switch. not recommended for travelers.

Disgusting and over-priced rooms”

The rooms in the hotel are below any standard. I stayed in a fan room. First, the room was underground, so there was no natural light at all. Second, the toilet was a very low basin nit connected to any water dishing tank. The shower was basically a tap almost directly above it. The entire room and bathroom felt old, neglected and not clean - dirty walls etc. The only thing worse than the room was the attitude of the owner. [The only reason I rated the food as 3 is because I didn't try so I don't know how it is].

we arrive at the place at around 1 pm already then asked the caretake if the room is available then he said there are no rooms available yet the checkin time is 5pm he already told this to agoda but still they keep sending people at that time he didnt even offer to stay at a lounge or offer something so we went back around 6pm the room was ready when i checked the toilet bowl there are still drips of urine in the area where you will sit really disgusting! so next day checked out time is 12nn can you belived it! the caretaker knocked on the door at exactly 12nn very loudly like being evicted for not paying so we were packing our this and they even turned the main power source so there is no aircon inside when we asked why did they do that there are still people inside they got mad and told us to leave the people here are very rude so please dont stay here i dont know why agoda still post this in their site i hope they will take this down because they even blame them for misinforming. There are no best in this place the only good thing about this is the location that's all!!!!

It was really great time in nice room with seaview. Good food & cheap drinks on the beach. Very helpfull but not pushy staff.

Upon arrival there was no one to check us in & we has to wait around for quite some time. Then we had to go into town & print the agoda receipt before we were allowed to check in. Then we werent given a key to lock our room, luckily we only stayed a night & didnt leave valuables in the room. Hot water wouldnt work in the shower. 20peso tricycle ride to town or early walk. Otherwise i wouldnt recommend.

when we arrive at the hotel, we approached a woman which we found out the owner of the hotel room and asked if this is golden rooms. she answered back in a sarcastic way which is not good as we asked them in a nice way. i will never book a room again here!!not recommended!!

Friendly and helpful owners”

We enjoyed our stay here, primarily because of the owners. The room was ok, and the location was ok. The owners, however were wonderful. They made sure we didn't get ripped off by tricycle drivers, they told us how much everything should cost, and they gave us great directions to all of the places we wanted to go.

Budget Hotel for Travellers”

the hotel has a great location, near to the center of the city, very accessible. the fan room is okay because the city has a cold climate but it is small. the comfort room has no shower, just a pale and a dipper. if you are in a tight budget this hotel is just fine for you.

Zimmer ohne Fenster und muffig. Im Bad die Toilette ohne Brille und Deckel, tropfender Wasserhaehne und reichlich Kakerlaken. Von dieser Unterkunft kann ich nur abraten.
