Directly on the seashore, Forte Rose Apartments is located in the historical fortress on Lustica Peninsula, opposite Herceg Novi. It offers rustic-style, air-conditioned cottages with LCD cable TV and private bathrooms. The tavern at Apartments Forte Rose is surrounded by stone walls and olive groves. Guests can taste authentic and traditional recipes from the Bay of Kotor, including lamb, veal or octopus under the bell. Various types of cheeses and homemade prosciutto can be sampled as well. The beach bar serves freshly prepared cocktails and ice-cream accompanied by pleasant lounge music. Forte Rose has a private yacht, and boat tours as well as sailing can be arranged. A bike rental service is available and guests can explore the resort of Lustice on bikes. Day trips to nearby points of interest can be arranged on site. The property is 20 km away from the Tivat Airport and shuttle service from Tivat can be arranged upon previous request at a surcharge. The hotel is a hidden gem in bustling Montenegro. Atmosphere, history, secluded location make this place so special. The access to the sea is priceless. Our highlight is the staff of the place that is so accommodating for anything we needed or asked for. The fishing village Rose adds to the beauty of the place. Quaint and cute. The food in the restaurant is great and choice of wines is great. If you are staying in one of the apartments by the sea you will hear only waves splash during the evening.

“Great location but they don't 'get' service”
A truly stunning location and lovely room with sea view. However, restaurant service was slow/poor, and we got charged an extra 5 Euro when we asked for a second cup of coffee at breakfast. We arranged an early breakfast at 7.30 on the day of departure and got handed 2 croissants in a foil tray at 07.59 when our boat was leaving. It's not set up for anything outside of the norm. there is an interesting cheese and prosciutto 'cellar' but once again, no one knowledgeable enough to properly serve us. The one person who was truly great and helpful was Dusan on reception., but waiting staff poor.
