Exceptional”
Stay 6 nights at this hotel. The staffs are very helpful. First I stayed at floor 17th and my room's aircon was noisier than normal. I informed the front desk and they sent technician to fix it. But the problem still exists. So the staff suggest me to inform the front desk to exchange the room. Finally I change the room and ok. Breakfast is ok, but less variation. The hotel is old style hotel but very well maintained. The room is very clean and amenities also good. Drinking water, coke and sprite every day in the refrigerator. They also prepare two apples. TV channel only a few. Their house keeping clean the room every day and start in the morning. I was surprised when I came back after breakfast around 9 AM, my room is on the cleaning process. Due to we need to hurry to go, the housekeeping delay the cleaning and will comeback again after we go out. The hotel also strategic, within around 15-20 minutes walking distance from Gurney Plaza, also many hawker center along Gurney Drive road and a few minutes from the hotel. Overall this is a very good hotel and value for money. Keep your good job and improve.

The room is spacious and super clean! I was very impressed, this hotel maybe old but they well maintained! They gave us free fruit everyday, the staff are friendly and the service is very good! I think we travel again to penang, we will comeback to stay here! Good job! Keep it up!

suite room was big and spacious enough for two adults and two young kids. bathroom and toilet were also big and clean. staffs are very friendly. walking distance to gurney drive and plenty of food along the way. will return in future 👍

Recommended this hotel bcoz suitable for the title of 5 star hotel.. facilities is good,easy to access parking and hotel lobby,my child like the swimming pool,cleanned,very helpful and friendly staff , the soft skills of receptionist is very good and solve my problems.. the laundry boy it also good.. except staff at the entrance of hotel(outside of lobby area). centralized aircond and water heater are functioning.no water piping near at bidet.but its ok can use shower at bathtub.overall its good to stay here with family.👍👍👍

Being to Penang dozens of times, I always tell myself downgrade my expectations of their hotels and services. But this is the best hotel of its class category we stayed so far. It can even beat some of the newer 4 stars. The hotel maybe old but it is very well maintained. The room is above expectation and the towels and sheets are brand new. Staff are well trained and spontaneous. Could tell the management made an effort to please their customers after the Covid period. But price is still the main luring for long duration customers like us; hope they keep it competitive.

Well Maintained Hotel”
This is one of the old reputated hotel in Penang. I feel impressed with the room facilities which is maintained very well, new shower head, water hoses also have changed to new one, no water leakage problem as other old hotel. Water temperature and pressure are good. Free apples, soft drinks, mineral waters, etc. All staffs are friendly. Good location with many eatery nearby. Breakfast is buffet style which is considered up to standard but no surprise as it is almost same as other 4 stars or 5 stars hotel.

Room is spacious and clean. Housekeeping was done everyday and punctual. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Location was at gurney drive, so convenient to drive around Georgetown. Ample of parking space. Overall a good stay and I’ll be back soon.

Superb room conditions with mineral water and soft drinks replenish every day”
Rooms are large. I booked 3 rooms and get free upgraded rooms for our stayed. Front desk staffs were helpful and try to accommodate us in the same floor. Breakfasts were included in the stay. Breakfast varieties were okay, not too many choices. Decent. The best part is soft drinks were replenished daily and fruits (banana and apple) were provided on the first day. Will come back and stay at the same hotel if I visit Penang again.

Nice old fashioned hotel”
Didnt expect for this quite old hotel is very clean, all amenities also complete, as if in 5 star hotel, all facilities as well, room is kinda soundproof, i had a very good sleep when was there and didnt hear any car sounds passing from my room. recommended stay here. the minus is when first came have the charge to pay for the government tax, hope they should consider and included it when we booked online at the first place. but overall all is good here

Hotel room is clean and so is the toilet. Excellent amenities (Spa & Jacuzzi plus a tennis court) Foodcourt and Malls are at walking distance. Beds however on a hard side. Overall it is a good Stay.

Hotel is situated at Gurney drive, which offers a scenic view of the coastline. Local food courts are situated along gurney drive, it is about a 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff members are highly professional and offer impeccable service during my stay at the hotel. I would highly recommend tourists to book their stay at Evergreen Lauren.

We had a hard time deciding on our accommodations but after reading all the positive reviews of Evergreen Laurel Hotel, we decided to go with it. This is by far the best hotel we have stayed in 2022! All the staffs are so professional and friendly and went way beyond their services to ensure your staycation is memorable. Definitely will return to this hotel for our next visit to Penang. Nice hotel and staff , especially during check in - Mr. Alex and his colleague (young lady) are very helpful to solve my encountered issue. Room is clean and comfy, many things needed can find in the room. Buffett breakfast is good , all staff are friendly. Convenient location to shopping mall and eatery places. Check out is extremely fast. We enjoy our stay there for 2nights.

If you are looking for a mix of a good sea view, close by to good food and an international standard for a hotel, Evergreen Laurel is one of those along the quieter end of Gurney Drive. This is not to say it is secluded but that it gives you options on whether to enjoy a quiet night in or a bustling day out. Arrived later in the evening and still a warm reception. Parking was plentiful and wifi connection was stable enough to make international/roaming calls. Good value for money as I got an Agoda deal, so it was a pleasant and good stay for the Election Weekend.
