Room was very clean, the staff friendly and helpful. Hotel has bikes that you can use for free. My kids enjoyed very much riding bike along the beach.

Great Value”
2nd time to stay here. The rooms are big and spacious. The bathtub is huge. Clean and comfortable. Con: Bathroom smelled both times. It seems to be a problem with the plumbing. Keeping the toilet cover down seems to help. Overall, I’d still come back.

Pros: 1.Good location 2.Big room Cons: 1.Stuff doesnt find solution to our problem. 2.The bed has a hole and it was very very very very soft. We stayed for FOUR NIGHTS. In the first night I told recepcionist that one bed has a hole. He said he will call maintanence tomorrow since it is very late, We understand and We accept the agreement. The second day in the morning I remind the receptionist (Miss Liu) about the situation. She said "All beds are the same and Hotel is full". It means...NO solution for FOUR NIGHTs. 2. They wrote in AGODA they will offer breakfast. However: a.First night receptionist said "no breakfast on these days because corona virus" so We got 60NT per person. However when we asked for 60NT on Friday the receptionist said "Friday we have breakfast". But NOBODY inform us. You'd better look for another hotel. There are a lot nearby at the same price.

Good for the Price”
"Andy" and the girls at East Coast put a lot of effort into making you feel welcome and accommodated. The breakfast is local Taiwan style and excellent. Coffee is very good. Wi-Fi is excellent. Excellent on hot water and pressure. It is an older place but everything worked. Except I did notice the air con remote was just a prop as the air appeared to be centrally controlled. It never went off but kept the room comfortable. If you are vegetarian do not waist your time at the Greenland next door. The restaurant has a reputation for poor service and they proved it.

We stay here for daytrips to the Taroko Canyon and other sightseeing highlights around and come by car. It`s a good place for this. The rooms are big and clean and You find a parking space, the staff helps You. The breakfast is a little bit poor for us vegetarians, but You can also eat all around for small money. Hualien is good for a visit and have a big nightmarket and a nice city park on a hill. summarized: we come back again

Good hotel and good location, but need a refurbishment”
The hotel situated at 20 min walk from the train station and is located between the train station and the downtown (Dongdamen night market). The hotel room looked so much better than what been shown on the agoda website and the bed is rather comfy. However, the toilet was equipped with the shower shield without curb at the bottom causing the water flowing out to the entire toilet. One thing we love about the hotel was they provide bicycle for you to travel around Hualien which is pretty handy. Even though the architecture looks old fashioned and a little bit ill-maintained, we overall enjoy our stay here. Would recommend the hotel management to slowly refurbish the hotel to attract more visitors in the future.

Huge Room”
The room is huge, the beds are very comfortable, the bathroom has shower and Jacuzzi bathtub. The hotel staff is very friendly, the only thing what bothered me for breakfast was, they offer toast, butter and jam, but no knife(!?). Even when I asked for a knife the answer was "No". Awkward

Big hotel with big room and toilet. Some leakage in the shower room (glass door) keeps the floor wet all the time. Breakfast is very limited and chinese oriented style (congee...), toast and jam is available but butter. Some staffs don’t speak English, if you let them chose, they will ask you: “Can you speak Chinese?”, instead of talking to you in English straight. Some other staffs are helpful. All in, they seem to be interested more in Chinese speaking tourists than others. They have potential, the management just need to put more effort in the services they provide because facility is already good.

A little bit rundown”
We spent 3 nights in total at this hotel. The room was quite big because we had the deluxe room but the whole hotel is a little bit old so you can smell the moisturize in the room. Also, I am not sure if it's like this in each room but there's a carpet in our room. It seems old and dirty, we didnt feel really comfortable during all our stay. Anyways, the staff was friendly and nice to us. You can walk easily to the train station (about 20 min walk)! Finally, the breakfast was pretty good. We had rice with a bunch of things that you can add on (veggie, tofu, chicken, steam bun, etc.)

The room is very spacious with four twin beds and an extra bed. Lots of space for our 3 pieces of big luggage. Amenities in the room are well provided. Will book in future if we visit again.

Tiny room at good location ”
The room is tiny! Tiny! It’s exactly the same as the picture but much much smaller. I can see many scratches on the wall because of no room to put luggages. There is no room to fully open a on board size luggage. No staff or reception. Communicate everything through phones in the building. The only adventage of the room is good location. It’s right in front of MRT exit 4.
