Relaxing haven for a couple”
Domicillo Design Hotel is just beside the main highway but their rooms promises a quiet sanctuary for their guest. And it’s true! The moment we arrived in our room, we don’t wanna leave anymore. We just want to lounge all day in the bed which has a direct view of the Taal Lake. The room has complimentary bottle of wine, one hour massage for two and breakfast! The bed and pillows are comfy and soft, you will have a relaxing night. The TV is decent sized so you can watch while in bed. Wifi is reliable and fast. Toiletries are complete with matching bathrobes and slippers. We’re not a morning person but who can say no to a free delicious breakfast so throughout our stay, we choose to wake up early for a nice breakfast. It would have been better if they allowed us to eat in the balcony/patio. Would I go back? Definitely! But I think I prefer the superior rooms which is located at the second level. It has a nicer view of taal lake. However, the TV and room space is smaller compared to Premier rooms.

Weekend Staycation”
I booked Domicillo Design Hotel from friends recommendation. The location is perfect for honeymooners, backpackers or for people simply wants to get away from the city. The hotel vicinity is very clean. I find the Western food that served in their resto are overrated. We booked 3days 2nights and the whole stay couldn't provide proper wifi. Staff keep on saying that the router is getting fix but still no progress. Aside for that, our whole stay was great.

Beautifully Designed Hotel with a Great View but Prepare for Noise (room dependent)”
We got the Lake View room. Great views of the lake! Conveniently has a starbucks. Downside is the noise as this room was located right underneath Starbucks. You can hear the noise when in the room with customers moving chairs and tables. When you’re at the balcony, you can hear noise from upstairs on chatter so if you’re needing peace and quiet, this isn’t the room for you unless you think you can get over all that. The balcony has railing but only a wire between the gaps so we didn’t allow our son to hang out there long. It also doesn’t have room service so you need to buy food from outside or dine out but package we got has breakfast, so you can at least get that. Also had a massage for the package. Parking’s a bit tight but they’ll have one reserved for guests. Staff was great and friendly. Beautifully designed hotel. Easy to get to and good for families.

Magnificent View”
An 8-room boutique hotel in Tagaytay. We had the superior room with lake view, which is magnificent! The design was nice, as well as services. Our package also included in-room massage, and breakfast. Down side would probably be wifi connection is bad.

nice design, awesome view, but not value for money”
The hotel is designed with a Good taste. The view from the room and balcony are too great and you never felt bored with the view. However, with the room rate being very expensive (close to HKD3,000 per night), you really expected details of the room and services to match the price (which is a 5-star hotel cost). No cusion on the chair, the extra bed came only as a single mattress which put on the ground (not even a folding bed). Bathroom shower doesn't have a strong water pressure.

Nice little place”
Stayed here on a weekday night with my husband. We loved how the place was designed. The room is large, clean, and looks elegant. Their breakfast had big servings and that was really great for us who love to eat. Our room has a view of a zen garden in front. There's a nook/lounge just across, overlooking the beautiful Taal lake. The view is just something that you would want to wake up to in the morning. it doesn't have that much facilities though, but if you're looking for a quiet place to stay in, this place is recommended.

Excellent Privacy, Great View of Taal”
Overall, our experience is great. Nicely designed rooms, excellent location, friendly staff. Skip the free breakfast, it is not as hefty. Probably the only thing that needs to be fixed is the 'pozo negro' smell at the veranda of Room M7 which destroys the awesome experience of the Taal Lake view.

Exceptional”
I booked this hotel because I got an excellent rate on it at the time. The room was clean, but there were a few small stains on the bedding. I suspect the stains may have been from the products they use on the in room massages. The property has some excellent views of Taal Lake even if you don't get a lake view room. There is a Starbucks at the facility and also a lounge for guests that both offer the great view of the lake. There is a SM being built across the street that will make the location even better than it already is.

Excellent weekend ”
Booked a room through Agoda, and it was so worth it. The staff is excellent - friendly, diligent and committed to giving you wonderful service. The room was very clean and it was quiet. The hotel is at a good location, and even has a starbucks upstairs. We got free starbucks drinks for our stay! We opted not to have the free breakfast since we had other plans, but it sounded very good. They even gave us milk and cookies at night. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, am very happy with my choice. The only thing I would suggest (and this is me nit-picking) is that the free drinks in the fridge be water instead of soda and juice. Just not a fan of too much sugar.

2 night stay Tagaytay”
Domicillo is overrated as to what it is trying to present itself as. Location is great with beautiful view of the lake but for the price you pay you expect better and more attentive service. Staff are trying their best but have not been trained in 4 start hotel etiquette. I booked 3 rooms in the hotel for a wedding. No special attention was given to the bride and groom after marriage. Any self respecting class hotel would provide chocolates, bottle of wine or the like at such a major event. Nothing was provided by the hotel here. Very very disappointing. overall great location but overpriced and not 4 starr

NICE DESIGN BUT THAT'S ALL”
I was looking forward to my stay here because the photos in their website looked awesome. But their rates have always been high so I booked with Agoda for P2,000 less per night (I stayed a total of 3 nights actually). Funny because don't hotels want to encourage guests to book directly on their website (hence, they should offer the lowest rates)? Anyhow, the roomed looked awesome and quite sizable. But the series of disappointments started coming after that, namely: 1) The bathroom design is not apt with the rest of the room. The sliding door makes noise and it doesn't lock. 2) The Wi-Fi did not work the entire first day of my stay even after repeatedly complaining about it; 3) They are terribly understaffed. Calls to the front desk are usually met with a busy tone or it kept ringing; 4) Breakfast is plated and for 2 days, my first 2 choices were not offered because the food staff "didn't go to the market" - why the hell is that?; 5) Parking is very limited!

Well-designed hotel that still needs improvement”
The hotel is well-designed, and they have rooms with a great view of Taal. I did find a few kinks though: one bottled lotion I opened was smelly so I didn't use it. Was probably expired. I also got confused when the staff told me that the plated Japanese breakfast was still available until 10, but when I called the restaurant, they said they couldn't accept my order anymore. The front desk staff and restaurant staff clearly weren't coordinating. Eventually, they gave me my breakfast but I only had 1 or 2 options, and it wasn't even good. Would stay again for the view and the design, but I hope the service and amenities could be improved.

Excellent Location”
Location was awesome, lots of good eateries and Qiwellness Spa is right beside the hotel. There were renovation works during my stay, not disruptive but it kind of spoils the mood and atmosphere with the drilling, bricks, ladders, sacks etc. Size of the room was fine, but felt that the room was damp and stuffy, likely because there wasn't any windows (I had the Garden View Room, though not much view since we had to keep the curtains down as there were workers all over the place and the view was really the construction stuff). Taal can be seen from the common lounge, and some other rooms I suppose. Recommend for an overnight stay, but not beyond a weekend.

NICE DESIGN, THAT'S ALL”
CONS: 1) For a high-priced hotel, breakfast is plated and for my 2nd and 3rd day, my first two choices were not available because the front desk receptionist said "the food staff didn't go to the market" - what kind of an excuse is that?; 2) Wifi didnt work the entire 1st day; 3) Understaffed - phone kept ringing or is busy - I had to go up to the front desk 2x!; 4) Parking is very limited and you compete with Starbucks customers in the property; 5) Privacy is nill because once you step out of your room, Starbucks customers can already see you!; 6) Had to go with Agoda coz their website rate is almost 40% higher!; 7) Cable TV would sometimes just turn off by itself; 8) Nice room but the bathroom design does not compliment the rest - the sliding door makes too much noise and it does not lock; shower is slow; 9) No restaurant - you eat your breakfast either inside your room or at the lounge; 10) If you ask for extra bottled water, they will charge you!; PROS: Good room design, central

Very beautiful hotel”
The hotel is truly eye candy if you like modern architecture. There are no amenities in the property though, just a view of Taal Volcano and 2 restaurants. The Japanese restaurant was great. The other one, however, was quite unreliable especially they were suppose to serve us free breakfast. We did get that from our booking so they should have been ready that guests were present at that time. They only opened the place and prepared the food when we came in. The delicious food somehow made up for the questionable service.

One day and night”
After we left another hotel (bad experience) we arrived here. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left the place we felt more than satisfied. The staff was hospital and friendly, helped us out with all question. So worth booking

Very relaxing!”
We spent our anniversary here, and at a short notice I requested for a romantic setup for our room. They set up the bed with balloons and rose petals with a greeting. Very thankful for this! The view is stunning and it's very relaxing and quiet. Room service was great too, they called us at night if we want cookies and milk, what a treat! The only 2 things that I think they can improve is their internet connection and their restaurant. The restaurant is currently closed so you don't get to buy food conveniently, nevertheless they advised us that we can have food delivered, also the famous restos are just about 5 minute wallk.

Horrible Stay at the Domicillo”
The room we stayed at had a horrible mildew and cockroach infested smell. It had no real operable Windows and did not have fresh air. Unless you opened the door the whole night. We complained about the smell but the hotel could not do anything about it and they could not give us another room. Could not sleep, the room was just enveloped with a bad smell the whole night. It was horrible. Even with the perfumed candle the hotel kindly provided, the room smelled bad. It was a design hotel. But they did not design any basics right. They did not have operable window to get in fresh Tagaytay air and breeze. And the railings were not safe for young kids. The mirror with capiz shell had mold and mildew. The hotel was overpriced. Not maintained well. And did not have the basics right. Avoid his hotel. Stay elsewhere.
