This hotel made my first visit to Madrid very enjoyable. The bed is super comfortable for a good night sleep. The Hostal Juanita is what it is supposed to be and although more than you expect. Nicely decorated, a homey feeling when you enter the first floor where you're welcomed by very friendly staff. Arrived early morning needing to check in really early as my son was ill. The staff helped me, changed the room to the available (bigger) room. It was such a relief and I was really happy.

Great stay, with cheap accommodation, no frills good staff and the hostel itself was right in the middle of the old town, close to everything, with a good selection of bars right on its doorstep, access can be a bit of a pain as you have to wait till 2pm to even gain access but everything else was good.

This was our second stay at this hotel. The area it is located in (Antiguo) has it's share of nic shops, cafes and bars. It is close to the beach promenade. The city is very accessible from here. Parking is challenging as the entrance is narrow, but if you are lucky the hotel staff will park your car for you.
