I chose Hotel Star Inn because of its location.... I had an early flight the next day. The location was perfect, I could have walked to the airport. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The single most important thing about Hotel Star Inn is the amazing staff! Everyone was friendly to me and made sure all of my needs were met. Due to my early departure, the de...
My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The hotel is very nice, however, it is in the business area of Lisbon, and there is not a lot to do in the immediate vicinity. The room we had was spacious, spotlessly clean, had a huge comfortable bed, and very contemporary design - Easily the best hotel I've stayed in. The whole hotel was excell...
There isn't much I could fault this hotel it was good value for money and very close to the train station where it is so easy to get around. The staff were always in the lobby to say hello and goodbye as we entered and exited the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable but some of the lights in the room weren't working. It isn't in the best location as there isn't much ...
My late night arrival was handled very smoothly. Love my cozy room - and particularly liked the touch of Portuguese poetry on my bathroom wall! Staff was friendly and so accommodating - one of the friendliest during my time in Portugal, I almost wished I didn't have to move on to my next hotel. Breakfast was simple and good, except it got a a bit crowded during peak ho...
We arrived in Lisbon after a tiring red eye flight and delays retrieving luggage and were quite exhausted. But upon arrival at the hotel, staff were very supportive (although room wasn't available for early check-in). Still, we were able to refresh ourselves in their lobby as we took a few moments to change etc in their rather spacious rest rooms. The rooms were a tad...
Excellent location. Each floor has a distinct smell theme...ours was green tea. Smelled good. Near train station and most places you will want to visit. Staff very helpful. Chicken place few steps from the hotel serves good chicken barbecue for cheap! We will recommend this hotel to friends.
Never visited in July before despite visiting anything up to 4 times a year but wont be doing so again. Too noisy kids end even more noisy parents (mainly English). Bar prices are still a rip-off: Why pay 3.50e for 330ml of beer in a plastic cup when you can buy Sagres/ Super Bock, San Muguel etc in the nearly mnini-market for as little as 1.20e. Fanta orange 3.00e.
Hotel staff were always polite & professional, and also helped with booking excursions everywhere (which was also cheaper & easier than booking in town too). Hotel room was huge, but the bathroom while adequate wasn't great (very basic shower in a very basic bath). Location was fantastic, right on the beach overlooking the sea although not all rooms can see this. In to...
We had a great stay at Clube Praia da Oura, i have visited Portugal many times and visited here to play bowls. Pedro the barman made us very welcome over the years so this time we deceided to stay at the resort. There was 15 of us in the group, we played bowls had a few drinks. The location is good to, only a ten min walk to the main strip. Hopefully we will be back ag...
One of the best hotels I stayed in. It was clean with an amazing location they also had a roof top restaurant and pool. The staff were very friendly, if you are planning to visit Lisbon please do your self a favor and book this hotel.
We stayed for a total of 5 nights. Most rooms are standard size (25 - 28 sum) but very efficient rooms with a total of 6 power points and 2 USB points. Staff are very friendly, helpful and the lobby is very pretty especially at night. They are generous and staff will pour you a glass of water or sparkling wine at any time of the day or night. The outstanding point ab...
The hotel is situated near the subway station place Marqués de Pombal and a 30 mins walk from the town center. Its on a quiet street except for the few party makers; The hotel is beautifully decorated un soft hues of blue and green. A team of excellent friendly, helpfull staff go out of thier way to insure that each guest has a perfect stay. You can start the day wit...
Clean hotel, Excellent location and close to the center area.. Friendly. Staff but I was disappointed that they recommended a restaurant as “the best sea food /fish place in town” to be the worst and most expensive meal I had in Portugal . I would not be surprised if they own or have a deal with that place. I had much better authentic experience in other hotels whil...
We enjoyed our stay, customer service was always very pleasant, staff appeared genuinely pleased to help. Room ready on arrival, prior to official check in. Check-in quick and efficient. Breakfast was the same, although hotel busy. Complimentary beds and sunshade on beach made a difference, we spent time every day by pool and on beach. We did upgrade our room and all ...
Breakfast was one of the best in our life. Good variation of hot and cold breakfast, fruit, gluten free pastries soy and almond milk were also available. We tried their buffet dinner once, that wasn't their best. Hotel looks nice and stylish, the view is just beautiful.
On this trip to Portugal we rented apartments, except for the 3 days in Coimbra, when we stayed in the Hotel Oslo. It is right next to the train station, and close to where we had to go to rent a car, and it is very close to other tourist facilities, However, it is a typical small hotel room. But, it also has a nice breakfast buffet, and a very nice roof top area for ...
It was more than a pleasant stay at the hotel. We had personalised messages and little gifts by the manager to welcome us at the room. The staff was not only helpful but courteous and warm. They always made us feel as if we were the VIPs. We were presented with flowers at check-in and that made our day! The room was very comfortable, immaculate and posh. Whatever amen...
I stayed here in March with 4 friends. We had a 2 bedroom apartment and everything was great. The apartment was clean well stocked with linen, toiletries and kitchen necessities. The location was also perfect especially being right across the road from the Time Out market and a stone's throw from the water. It's really easy to get around the city from here. The only n...
The rooms were so cute and everything was very clean and tidy. There was a shared kitchen that was perfect for getting our own food at the nearby supermarket. The hotel had tons of safety measures as well, which made us feel very secure. The best part was the staff. We had a credit card issue and the hotel contacted us immediately on booking. After contacting our bank...
My wife and I started our honeymoon at the Corpo Santon Lisbon Historical Hotel and we could not have been happier! This is an amazing hotel in an excellent location. It is one block from the water and very central for many of the best tourist/site-seeing locations. The hotel room was excellent with many amenities and very clean. There was always a free snack of some t...
I received a room upgrade after being told my booking at Brown's Boutique was cancelled and they failed to notify me prior to check in. But they definitely made up for it at Brown's Central. The room was spacious (esp by European standards) and I was impressed by the amenities: a Mac desktop, Marshall bluetooth speakers, plenty of power sockets, full length mirror, a w...
For our first visit to Lisbon this hotel was centrally located, so that we could explore and decide what areas we liked best. The breakfast was wonderful, staff very attentive, and room was well appointed.
Though the hotel is in the middle of the busy tourist area, our 4th floor rooms were very quiet with good double glazing. The rooms were spotless and modern. The bathroom was a bit compact, with a shower but no bath. The front desk staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and spoke good English (not always the case in Portugal). The breakfasts catered for C...
This hotel was five stars from beginning to end. The airline lost our luggage and the staff were very helpful in managing the recovery process for us. They would deliver the morning breakfast to our room for a 15-Euro charge and we’re just awesome to be around. The spa is also epic and worth the higher prices. Highly recommend.
Very enjoyable. The hotel was quiet, little traffic noise unlike other hotels we have stayed at. Staff were friendly and helpful. Chambermaids really good, the room was kept very clean Breakfast was Pool was cold but good when in
Our stay was wonderful and memorable. We would most definitely return, if and, when we revisit Lisbon, Portugal. The atmosphere was regal in our junior suite and gave us a sense of staying in a luxurious palace.
Peaceful and relaxing resort. Very good located. Cascais, a nice place to stay and close to beautiful places to visit such as Estoril, Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Guincho, Praia Grande, Adraga and many other beaches. We got an upgrade to Deluxe Suite. Lovely room, very clean and spacious with free wifi. Wonderful staff with friendly smile. Check in was efficient, special t...

We are very happy with their services which should be up to 5 star level. Although its location is a bit far ( by walking ) to the cit down town, but we are 100% satisfied with their staffs services, who are friendly, understandable and helpful, e.g. even we are a little bit for check in, they were still patient to explain and tried their best to help us to sort out a...
Cheap places to stay in Portugal
the girls who running the place give as a warm welcome and give us a lot of information. everything was verry verry clean 👍 breakfast is simple but oke. a good place for surf. a lot of different spots en levels around (for the most one you need a car/bicycle) the vibe in/around the house was perfect. again the where so relax 😊
Room & facilities are clean and nice. But be aware of the 6pm official check-in time
Inside old city, a distance from train & bus station. Owner not in premises and staff is working in the hostel next door to the reception. Have to buzz and wait for him as he is working in the hostel most of the time, even after reception opens after 10am. Takes a while to adapt to the room because there is no bedside light and power socket beside the bed.
As in most hostel, reception looks like short term hired staff, gives good advices during check in. Location in old city, would not be easy to find without google map. Simple breakfast provided. Have a hunch that there is may be only 2 dorms as such it would not be overly crowded with travelers. Only 1 toilet cum bathroom equipped like home but didn't have much problem...
I booked for a couple of nights, and extended for several others - at the end I didn't want to leave! Toilets are a bit of a squeeze, but for the rest, all very comfortable and clean and the staff is great!. Thank you Ana, Caio, Andre, Isabel, Emma, Emily, Laura, Claire and Rebecca for making me feel at home!!!
The Hotel is at the city center. Very convenient i walking tour the are. Hotel staffs are excellent. They will provide you the best information you ask about your iteneraries. Breakfast is excellent. Rooms and Bathrooms are satisfactions. Highly recommended to a solo traveller. ❤️❤️❤️ Will come back again. My ❤️ thanks to the staffs.
Staff where wonderful ! Only thing I would recommend is putting breakfast on in the mornings 😁 would help some of travellers a lot ! But amazing location and the staff where amazing
the beds are very simple and not the most stable ones but everything else was perfectly fine
Located about 20 min walk from train / 15 min walk from bus stations close to the center of town, this hostel has the makings of a good stay. The manager is friendly and helpful, the kitchen and communal areas large and comfortable. The downside to my stay - I was put in a room on the street side of the building so the noise from the traffic and drunk people walking ...
If you're looking for friendly, good vibe hostel, this is a must STAY hostel. The best hostel experience I ever had. Room are equipped with wifi, radio in the room(can you imagine that, Aircon for summer and super cozy bed. The balcony and terrace is definitely a bonus for fellow Hostelbookers bonding and drinking. Every room, toilet and kitchen are clean daily. The lo...
Booked one, and ended up booking a second night. It was a great hostel, with great people running it. My roommate was an Aussie that had been there a few weeks. I rented a scooter around the corner and went on a day trip to the end of the old world. There are beaches everywhere, and hiking is a good option too. The place was clean, and the staff were super friendly. It...
Don't worth the money. Not even 10 $ !
First of all, the town is by the ocean and has an old fort and the old town. I would say it is a place of the time flows slow. The hostel is new and clean. The owner and the host, Roberto is a very kind and friendly person who you can rely on. There are some eating places, two supermarkets, and the beach nearby. The place is also a mobile traveler friendly. I am planni...
Staff doesn't speak English and not friendly. Hostel not locked overnight. During my staing in hostel there was stolen i-phone from other guest and staff didn't apologized. And kitchen is closed from 11 pm till 8 am. It is stupid because some guests coming after 11 or check-out before 8 am
It is one of the best hostels that I have ever stayed. Highly recommend! Nice staff. Nice location. Nice room. Nice bar. Nice traveler. Hope to come back again.
The hostel is newly renovated and the kitchen is equipped with newly branded appliances. The staff are also helpful and understanding.
very good location - just few mins walk from the closest metro station, and also easy walks to almost all attractions closeby. place was clean and the bed comfortable. the kitchen was adequately stocked as well. but the best was the amazing interiors of the lounge and overall place. loved it!
very clean room, new refurbished, quiet, great location close to cafes, restaurants, metro (10mns to center), very friendly staff. Hostel not easy to find as it is in a building with no signs
Stay 3 nights there, staff super friendly, everything is clean and tidy , breakfast is nice and enough to start your morning ( coffee, toast, cereal milk, fruit ) . Super well located and is safe. Maybe it will be even nicer if they have a pc to use but apart from that I was super happy.
Nice and helpful staff Near to metro station 10 mins to Barcelona Sants train station which can directly get to the airport.
Excellent location (although noisy overnight so bring earplugs - the area is noisy at night with bars but we loved being in the main area so didn't mind). Basic but acceptable breakfast. Washrooms nice and clean. Staff extremely lovely.
Great location - easy walking distance to beaches, small supermarkets and places to eat; nightlife almost on doorstep but far enough away that you aren't too affected by noise in the early hours; 10 - 15 min walk from main bus station; 15 - 20 mins walk to train station. Staff extremely welcoming. Good access to facilities within hostel including washing machine and t...
Luis is a kind man, the hostel is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Figueira is a lovely town, worth the visit.
Impeccable efficient professional respectful customer service. Staff were friendly cordial very helpful. I would highly recommend to friends associates and colleagues as a comfortable clean wonderful place to stay in HI Hostel Faro- Pousada de Juventude
Good location 5 min walk to bus / train station. Accomodations are clean and free breakfast provided. The friendly owner Antonio speaks English and helps out in anyway he can.
I choose Orange3 out of all the other hostels as it has a gender-specific room. I booked a "Bunk Bed in Female Dormitory Room" but when I was there, the counter staff said they only had mixed dorm rooms and don't know why I could have booked a "female dorm room". I showed them my booking that clearly stated it. I was a solo female traveller and felt safer with a female...
the hotel was absolutely amazing, the design was super well thought and it was so inviting! the owner stayed late to receive us as we were travelling back from a friend's wedding nearby and was chatting with us ensuring we had everything we needed. there's also a beautiful terrace overlooking the river and a great bar lounge on the upstairs part of the building. Would ...
Stayed for 2 nights during a surf trip. Great location in short driving distance to lots of surf spots. Lovely helpful staff. The hostel has a great practical design and has everything you need as a surfer or hiker (both of which there are lots in the area). It has a great lounge and kitchen, though restaurants are across the road as well. The location in Aljezur is gr...
We stayed here for one night only and found it to be very good value with friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. We didn’t use the swimming pool but it looked very attractive and there were plenty of sun loungers. We would consider booking for a holiday sometime in the future.

From the moment I made the call for the shuttle bus, it was all made so easy for us. We arrived at the hotel and immediately we where offered an upgrade to the best room and best view in the house. The choice for breakfast was wonderful and great quality. We where able to leave our bags, as we looked around Lisbon for the afternoon. Besides getting the best room a...
We travelled to Praia Verde for the first time with our Labrador cross and we were greeted by two of the loveliest girls we have ever met at a reception desk. Susanna and Barbara were so wonderful with him and he loved the walks down to the beach through the hotel gardens. We will definitely go back because they just made the whole experience so pleasant for us and our...
I first booked this hotel for 2 nights only as I was not so sure about how convenient is its location. As that was my first time in Lisbon, I was thinking that staying around Chiado or Alfama would be better and more convenient to go out and explore the city, specially during the night. From what I experienced, however, I can say that it is very easy to move from AVAN...
Our son loved the indoor pool but he’s 5 so didn’t expect much. It was really hot while we visited. So it was nice to have that. The location is not in the middle of town but it is easy to get to wherever. The breakfast was awesome. I’m also very pregnant and the bed was heavenly. Staff was helpful. Honestly it was the best hotel experience for under $200 that we’v...
Vincci is a great chain in Spain and Portugal, we were quite lucky to get the reservation at a very good price online and we decided to go for it. Despite it not being located "spot on" in the center of Porto, is a great establishment, rooms are big and comfortable, wifi is very good and staff performance is great too. Nothing bad to tell about them, add a spa and a ...
There are 3 good things about this hotel and a few things we didn't like. Anna at the reception was helpful with touristic information. The maids did a good job at keeping the room nice. The location is great for us who wanted it quiet but still easy to travel around. The things we didn't like were that we paid almost 3500sek for 3 nights and the breakfast was not incl...
Great hotel, very clean and good rooms. Staff were knowledgeable about the area and it cost around 15 euro to get from the airport to the hotel which was perfect for our late night arrival. Breakfast turned out to be one of the better ones we had in Portugal.
• Check-in check-out average time less than 2 minutes • I had checked-in the morning and was instantly provided with a room with a smile but hotel porter was not available so had get my baggage myself on the hotel trolley. Reception staff apologized and said this was due to early check-in so person was not available. Bad for a four star hotel but this was the only bad ...
It's a good hotel to stay at in terms of staff service, value for money etc. However, it just wasn't the best area to stay at if you want to access the sights of the city easily. You will probably have to change the metro lines twice to get to Rossio station.
this hotel is sophisticated and modern, in a perfect location for porto's tourist sights and is a lovely place to stay. the reception staff are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. the hotel's design is quirky and modern with a bar that wouldn't be out of place in new york or london (in terms of design - there were no noi...
I would go out of my way to come back to Porto just to stay here. I have been traveling for the last year straight and it is so rare to find a place with service like this. Even though I was a hostel guest they always made me feel valued and continued to offer service, assistance and inquire on how they could make my stay more enjoyable. The full service lobby, bar,...
The only real issues we had were the door that didn't always want to unlock and a non-functioning safe. Besides that 100% satisfied. A beautiful hotel with a clean design all round. Nice pool and because of the small number of rooms it never felt crowded even though we were there in the high season. Price is not low, but worth it! Option to eat dinner at the hotel...
This hotel is in a great location in the Baixa. For that reason alone, I would stay here again. Having said that, there is a compromise with everything. And while our stay has been perfectly acceptable, there were a few rough edges. For example the floor of the room is vinyl, and not cleaned very well. so our feet were black as soon as we got out the shower. The wardro...
3 stops on metro from airport, transport hub with train, bus, metro access to many part of portugal. Opposite shopping mall and hypermarkt. Excellent wifi. Highly recommended.
We are regulars to Lisbon, always stayed at a 5 star down the road. Pleasantly surprise with our find with HF Fenix Lisboa. The location was excellent, just up the stairs from the Marques de Pombal station. We had a day pass each day so had unlimited travels on the metro. As it was fairly central we were able to come back frequently to drop off our shopping bags. Ther...
I stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend in the first week of September month. The hotel covers a large area right by the sea, which is slightly off from the centre of Lagos but only a 15-20 min walk away. This provides guests a lot of space where the hotel offers great facilities (the outdoor swimming pool is huge!) including free parking, and the area of the bea...
for a hotel at a very cheap price i hope to find a hotel like this in every place i travel. it is very central to the city and the transport is very adequate. very near to the airport and trtaffic is very reasonable even though it is in the centre. we staye in the 8th floor and the lift was very helpful.
We had a lovely stay at Zenit Lisboa. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Room was very nice albeit small. Breakfast was excellent - be sure to include it in your booking. We will definitely return when next we are in Portugal.
A great hotel at the seaside promenade. Many rooms had balconies with the best seaviews ever. At the hotel roof there were pool and jacuzzi. The hotel had a restaurant with many dinnerguests, and a full serviced bar. Parking possibilities in the cellar for extra cost. The personal at counter was helpful in all ways. The price for a stay wa worth every euro.
Went in late Oct 2019 for a fortnight, on-site pool bar closed at that time, but pubs / cafes are a few minutes walk away. I have given multiple 5 star reviews to this hotel, but for the first time this year things didn’t go as smoothly. Some new staff at reception are not very friendly, one lady in particular that seems to forget that it’s part of her job to make guests feel accommodated. Secondly, I left my laundry in the bag in front of the hotel door with the laundry document properly ...
We came to Lisbon to celebrate my grandmothers 80th Birthday. It was out first visit to Portugal and we were 5 grown ups (Grandmother, mother and three "children" age 20-30). We had a great weekend and comfortable rooms. Thank your for the kind service, especially to Claudia at the front desk and the staff at the restaurant who surprised my grandmother with a chocolate...
Please make the extra cardio room available free to all guests. I think it was a kick in the teeth that you advertised this fitness room on the internet (an this was one of the reasons why I booked this hotel) but when we got to the hotel we found out that we had to pay to use the room. very disappointed.
Booked on the morning of travel for 1 night. Very cheap. Got there - had paid for studio but got 1 bed apartment. Spacious, clean and well equipped. Immediately booked for another 3 nights at an even lower rate and got to keep the same apartment. Great position to explore the beaches, the shops, the strip and only a short drive to the Old Town. Would definately use thi...
My husband and I stayed at Epic Sana summer of 2017. We got an upgrade upon arrival and welcome drinks at any of the bars. We also felt very pampered by the staff as well as well fed during breakfast and dinner. It was the best experience in Algarve! We just booked our stay for summer of 2018!
Our third stay to visit family and would return. Wonderful staff service and excellent food throughout. Nice that wifi is fast and free and the rooms are well appointed. Possible improvements might be a redesign of the bathroom door - its impossible not to disturb a sleeping partner if you need to use it at night. Also its a shame that use of the spa is not included i...
Traveling to the unknown is like jumping into a pool, deep end first and hoping you float. My family trip to Lisbon felt the same way (we were 11). I did extensive research on quality hotels without knowing which area to select, relying on travel hotel websites and reading reviews. By sheer luck I selected the Tivoli which had a special room rate offer at the time (3...
The hotel is located a bit far from city center, considering Lisbon is not that big, taxi fee from the hotel to downtown is about 5~6 EUR. Nice relaxed atmosphere Resort in good location to walk everywhere, or 5 mins in an Uber. Nice swimming pools, indoor and outdoor. Gym was really well kitted out with new machines. Spa was excellent and very accomodating Suites were in process of being done up, but very good size and plenty of space. Bathrooms were huge, nicely finished with a great shower. While th...
This is an amazing hotel which kept most of its details as a palace, there are just I think a dozen or so guests rooms but the place is huge with lots of sitting and function rooms. When we were there it was low season and there are only a few guest. Breakfast is quite amazing as typical of an old luxury hotel. The staff, well, are friendly but do not expect them to be...
I stayed in the hotel 2nights and it's totally great! I stayed in the 3rd floor ocean view and can see the beautiful ocean from the bed, couch and terrace. The room was spacious and initial drinks at the minibar at were free. Wifi works well in all places in the hotel. All staffs are nice but it seems a few number of staffs work at the hotel. When we went to the swim...
Myself and a friend took ourselves to Portugal for a weekend visit to relax and unwind. We had an exceptional stay at Tivoli Victoria and could not find one single fault with the hotel. The staff were so attentive and could not do enough for us. The breakfast buffet was to such a high standard that we simply could not ask for more and we used the spa which was ama...

New hotel that was very clean, staff was friendly and spoke excellent English, and good location. Room was not ready at 2:00 pm, but when we returned at 4:00 pm, the staff upgraded us to a junior suite. We definitely will consider this hotel when we return to Lisbon.
Beautiful facilities and great location. Front desk personnel very friendly and professional but restaurant limited staff not so. Also not able to control AC individually, temperature is set and controlled by the hotel so you are at their mercy and it can get very hot.
My partner and I stayed here 12th-15th June and had the most amazing time. The hotel was better than I imagined. The room was massive with a big comfortable bed. The toilet door is big and heavy to slide which also can be noisy in the mornings, i'm not sure if all rooms are like this but the shower is perfect. Anyway, the infinity pool and surrounding area's are beauti...
