Where to stay in Taoyuan
Taoyuan hotels & accommodations

We chose to stay in this hotel on our last night in Taiwan as it is near the Taoyuan airport. It is about 20 minutes taxi ride from the hotel to airport. The deluxe quad room is very big even for 4 adults. 5 stars services by their staff. There is a night market nearby ( 5 minutes walk)and the things there are much cheaper than those in Taipei's night market. Sogo is ...

City suites is only 10mins taxi drive from Taoyuan International Airport which is the reason why i chose this hotel because we arrived at 1am. The check in was fast, no hassle at all. We really loved the breakfast, there are a lot of choices, though most of the food are Chinese, they are all good. This hotel is a bit far from 24-hour stores and fast foods, but, people...

This hotel was such a pleasant experience. We live in Taiwan and have stayed in many hotels around the island and this one is one of the best. The rooms are clean and don't smell like cigarette as in most places we've stayed, including 5 stars hotels. It is a family oriented place so there were lots of kids, but the room sound isolation was quite good. We had dinner in...

My friends and I explored Taiwan for four days and Taoyuan Hedo Hotel really gave us our needed rest at the end of our every trip. It was clean and the staffs are friendly and very helpful. They speak English so it wasn't hard for us to ask for directions (outside the Hotel is a different story, though. hehe...) The bonus for us was the free shuttle from the hotel t...

By taxi, the hotel is 20 minutes away from Taoyuan International airport and 15 minutes on foot to Zhongli Tourist Night Market. We booked the family room which is spacious and the room was clean. Only complaint about it is that the bathroom was damp and the shower leaked water after using it.

I just want to have suggestions about the food in the restaurant, maybe they can change the menu every other day :) We stayed there for 2 nights and the food's menu is the same, as well as the breakfast! But it is delicious. Maybe they can have different theme of menu depends on the day :)

BEST PLACE TO STAY IN TAOYUAN! If you’re looking for a clean, upscale, western-style hotel, this is it! AMAZING ammenities, friendly, accommodating staff (who can all speak English), extensive breakfast, and rooms you’ll never want to leave! The pillows and comforter are all down!!! :) I won’t stay anywhere else! #WorthEveryNT

The location is sub-optimum however, for business or transitioning tourists it provides excellent accomodations and service close to Taoyuan airport. Great staff, great value, comfortable beds, large rooms, quiet surroundings, shuttle to/from airport, great meals, comfortable bar, and generally a good hotel. I classify this as a 4 star hotel with aspirations of a 5...

This motel is located about 15 mins to Taoyuan International Airport. The room is really spacious and huge, there is a exercising machine but is faulty. They do provide movie channel, but the show cannot link to the TV in the bathroom. Their breakfast is McDonald breakfast which i'm not fancy about as i wish to eat something local and different than McDonald. It is...

Very nice hotel, comfortable and luxurious. Would definitely stay at this hotel again when next flying via Taoyuan airport and need to overnight. Had a room on top floor with a view of the area, very quiet and would pay the extra for such a room again. Welcoming and friendly reception staff, spa area superb - lovely surroundings for hotspring (unfortunately the pool ...

Room is very clean & the hotel staff is nice & friendly ,is near by the Taoyuan train station, there is 3 major shopping complex just 3 minutes walk. Many choice of the food near to the hotel, location is best central of Taoyuan, just a 25mins drive to airport.Breakfast in the hotel is superB.

i would recommend to all travelling to jongli taiwan because of location, shopping and eating all nearby, safety, accessible to everything, have ample parking space for my visitor, hotel is very nice, breakfast have good selection, good service of staff, i will stay there again on my next trip

15 minutes away from Taoyuan International airport. Taxis from airport charges abot NT 500 per way. You can get to this loc on a cheaper cost by grab taxi or a taxi outside airport. Stayed with 2 kids..good room, spacious and clean. Staff are accommodating and helpful. No room service available esp after 12 midnight. You will have to get your own transportation coming...

As a business traveller visiting a customer in the Taoyuan industrial area this was an excellent base. Just 20 minutes from Taoyuan airport it is a very pleasant 4.5 star hotel. Rooms are spacious. Free Wifi internet throughout the hotel. Above all the customer service throughout the hotel was excellent.

Service of the staff is prompt and friendly. We requested for connected rooms and they upgraded us to a bigger rooms, so nice of them. Staff patiently explained to me the nearby attractions. It is quite near to leofoo theme park abt 20 mins drive. Only disadvantage is the location to city taoyuan and night market abt 30 mins but the hotel can arrange for cab. There is...

The fact that this the hotel that is the many Esports tournaments are run. The room I stayed in had 2 legit gaming computers with 32” flat screens, with Asus powered rigs topped off with Cerebus keyboards and mice. Which made it very hard to leave, as I have a slight addiction to playing Destiny 2 and WOW. The hotel has been updated to all amenities, push control ligh...

The place is clean, very comfortable to sleep with and is accessible to railway station. Had a great time during our stay. Night receptionist should at-least know how to communicate non-Taiwan citizens, but we really appreciate her efforts in accommodating and communicating with us. Overall, it was indeed a great stay in Duke Hotel. If we were to comeback in Taiwan, we...

Managed to get a good deal for this hotel. Good place to stay if flight is early in the morninf the next day. Nothing much in Taoyuan. But Taoyuan Night market has much better food than Ximending area. Grab Uber or Taxi is only less than Twd 200 to night market. Hotel is beside a shopping mall too .

I had a 24 hour layover between flights and a very late checkin so I was looking for the least expensive hotel I could find. I chose Central based on the reviews and couldn't be happier that I did. It's a little farther from the Airport than I would like and the opposite direction of Teipei city. What I found was a very well maintained hotel with no frills but very cle...

We stayed here during a 22-hour layover and it was perfect. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I had a self-inflicted problem during check-in but the woman at the counter was able to help me out with the problem quickly and satisfactorily. They will organize a driver for you to Taoyuan Airport for 380 NTD no matter the time. The taxi out to the hotel was a li...

Best low price for a quality 3-star hotel. It is very close to Huanbei MRT station, less than 100 meter, 2 to 3 minute walk. The hotel is very responsive and accommodating to my requests (adjoining rooms, non-smoking, big bedroom) prior to the booking. The hotel bedroom is spacious, even enough for 3 persons. Bottled water, tea sachets and hot water are all provid...

I was very happy to stay in the hotel at taoyuan. its my first time visit to taiwan and its make me feel comfort when i stay at the hotel. Even the staff are very helpful to provide the information to us. The food are good and it should be recommended to others also. Thanks.

There aren't many nice villas in Lala Mountain area, but Cloud villa is one of the best. The rooms are spacious, clean and with pretty much what you would need for the stay. The breakfast is served early and only Chinese style option. The staff is very helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend it to everyone who's planning on visiting the Lala mountain.
Cheap places to stay in Taoyuan

Room was comfortable enough. But I found it odd that a cigarette stub was floating in the toilet bowl when I checked in. I had requested a non-smoking room. I laid down for a nap, but was awoken by hotel staff who informed me that she had checked me into the wrong room. other guests had already checked into the room in which i was resting, even though there was no s...

The location of the hostel is great. Just 5-7 mins walk from Taoyuan train station. However, the hostel in only 8th floor of the huge building that requires keycard to get in. You need to call the staff, so that she come down to pick you up. If you have no cell phone then it will be a little inconvenience. The staff can speak English though (not that perfect but she is...

There are 2 buildings in the hotel, 1 is the old apartment and another one is under renovation. We were given the one that just finished renovation we guess in the new building. Overall the room was very nice & helpful staff. There is breakfast starting 7am with Taiwanese dishes and tasted good. Highly recommended for those with late arrival to Taoyuan airport to overn...

I love their breakfast and it our 1st breakfast at Taiwan, although we only stay 1 night, the staff are good and friendly, we request to leave the hotel early, as we need to catch up the train at around 7am, they say breakfast will be serve at 7am++, end up they change another breakfast to us, which is yummy.. they just left it at the doorsteps, maybe to avoid disturb ...

Part 2: Checking-in and out were easy and immediate and had no problems despite arriving at past 2am. We were immediately handed our room key, located at the 9th floor. Upon entering, the room had a distinct smell that I can’t describe but eventually got used to it. The room has ample space to move around. No closet, just hooks with 2 hangers. The bathroom was large, w...

Hotel room is clean and staff is friendly. They also provide free coffee at lobby. Nearby have 24hr convenience store. Can request hotel staff arrange taxi to airport, price is about JPY500 for o/w. Distance is about 25-30min between Taoyuan Airport and hotel. Sure will come back to stay again.

The price for we paid for our stay was cheap however, we were accommodated very well. I informed them that we will be arriving Taipei early morning and was a little anxious because they were not replying to my concern but it turns out that they were expecting us. They also helped us get a cheaper ride going to the airport. The hotel room we got was expected for the pri...

The hotel is nice, the place is homey and instagramable. The receptionist can understand English and was very accommodating and kind enough to give a map of the mall, convenient stores, restaurant near the area. Infront on the other side is bus stop going directly to Taipei Main Station (bus 1212 I think). 7/11 is 5-10 mins walk from the hotel, the nearest convenient ...

Stayed in the hotel because we arrived in Taipei late at night and the hotels in Taipei was very expensive. The hotel is a one-floor hotel located in a building and the lobby was very creepy. But the room was great and quite large in terms of Taiwanese size, but my room doesn't have windows. Breakfast was very simple & ok and I think they bought it in a market. The sta...

Overall thats good. We had a local chinese buffet breakfast in the morning. But the breakfast is available from 7am-9am. I think that would be better if the breakfast time is valid till 10am. Coz most of the shops and shopping center in taoyuan are open at 11am. We would like to have a long and good rest, but not wake up in the early morning for the breakfast at 8.30am...

This is definitely one of the best hotel rooms I have ever come across in my life. The quad room we had is very spacious & well decorated that it gives you a feeling that you are in an art museum. Too bad that this was more like a transit hotel for us as we had an early morning flight to catch & just needed a hotel proximate to the airport. The hotel actually provides ...

Our stay at Beethoven Express Hotel was pleasant, our flight was supposed to arrive at 12:30am but delayed for 3 hours hence did not arrive in Taoyuan til around 5am. The staff waited for us all this time and had a friendly attitude despite the long wait. Buffet styl breakfast was included and it included many delicious local dishes. Even though it was a short stay f...

I am so happy I found this place during my latest stay in Taipei. I decided to stay here b/c I wanted to find a cheap-ish hotel near the airport. While it turned out not to be that close to the airport, it was close enough (about a 20 minutes and $600 TWD taxi ride). The surprise about the place was how good the English was from a few of the clerks behind the counter...

We only spent one night as we were on our way from southern Taiwan to the Taoyuan airport. (It was a 40min drive to the airport on a weekday via taxi.) We would have happily spent more time at this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, there was a language barrier but they were well prepared for us and had our keys ready when we walked in. The room seemed very new a...

we stayed at Taoyuan hotel on the final day of Taiwan trip due to the proximity to Taoyuan airport, and availability of shuttle at 530am. taxi from Taipei to Taoyuan is approx NTD700. room is clean and comfortable, with many food options on the adjacent street. staff is helpful and friendly.

Although the hotel is bit far from the cities areas, it is a self-contained resort. You can find many children games, pool, spa, pool table, gym etc provided by the resort. There is also a 24 hours 7 eleven at basement 1 including many other shops. My daughter particularly like one of the DIY art & craft shops and spend about an hour. As for the adults, there is a ...

We stayed for one night for our early flight in the morning. It was 30 minutes by taxi to the airport. From airport, taxi takes about 20mins ride and costs about slightly less than NT$500. Taxi driver didn't know the hotel so thankfully, booking had hotel address. I stayed here one night so that I could be near to Taoyuan Airport. Suffice to say, it is your standard gaudy love hotel - replete with neon and ashtrays in every room. The location is not exactly fantastic but you can get there easily from Taipei on a bus from Songshan airport to the town Nankan. Nearby there are the usual convenience stores and restaurants - I thin...

the location is fine, not far from the train station. location is quite. however lots of Chinese traveller makes the hotel very noisy from time to time, but not all the time.inside the room is great, big bed, big tv, warm water takes a bit time to get reall warm

Real reviews for hotels
Not many people will stay in Taoyuan for traveling unless for business i think. I stayed there twice because of visiting friends only.
Can go to night market around the area. Also has dream mall which has indoor baseball and bowling and indoor aerobics and skating
Cannot comment on Taoyuan as weather and flight arrangement did not permit venture far from the hotel except to the Zhongli Night Market.
It's an industrial area with lots of factories. Air pollution is quite serious. Not a good place for leisure.
There's a lot of shopping areas in the city centre yet you can enjoy the cosy atmosphere in the countryside
Well do visit Taimall and Carefour. Carefour has free tea sessions by Ten Ren on the food court level.
There's Taoyuan's biggest shopping mall, newly opened but does not have a supermarket. Other outlets of international brands are available.
Old city with very crowded streets filled with businesses and shopping. Not a sight-seeing area, more for shopping, eating, and visiting temples.
Taoyuen airport has many BUS. BUS no.705 is to go "HSR Taoyuen station"30T$. BUS no.5059 is to go central Taoyuen city, final stop is front of Taoyuen normal Rail station.
The department stores are located at the central of city and Novotel provides a free shuttle. Besides, only airport! Honestly, it is a countryside and don't expect too much.
Must going da xi lao jie, hua gu garden, zhong li night market and walk there shop at nan huan strees.
You can visit the night market and find a lot of things and foods. The rest of places are farms and stones beaches.
The some sightseeing spots has to ride taxi but bus. Near airport and highway to Taipei, you can also have high speed rail.
There are many shopping malls near Taoyuan station. But, they all close at 9:30-10:00. So, it seems you can't do much shopping at night.
Just a small town but not a big city like taipei and kaohsiung.. people are relaxing here, nice and food not bad.
Didn't manage to spend much time in Taoyuan. We only explored Daxi Township which is a very beautiful township.
As a town very proximate to the airport, it should be a good place for people to stay overnite juz for the sake of catching early flight or sleeping after arriving Taipei at midnight (if you wanna stay relaxed).
I am not sure I can comment much here as I only stay overnight here. I would like to visit the city again to write appropriate comments/feedback.
Taoyuan is less crowded in terms of people and traffice than taipei. the food is abundant and very varied in taste, colour, smell.
Cihu (慈湖) is a temporary resting place of President Chiang Kai-shek. There is a beautiful lake located near the tomb-site.
Great place for shoppers--there are three department stores and various kinds of shops and restaurants near the Taoyuan Train Station.
The people of Taoyuan are very friendly, even if you do not speak mandarin, they will try their best to interpret you and help you out!
Taoyuan is much like western Taipei in that it is an area dominated by manufacturing. However, it is a busy place with good transport and good places to go shopping and fast food outlets.
Nothing much about this city except the international airport. If transitting there are great hotels right next to the airport.
We went here just for the international airport. I noticed that the standard of living is lower than that of Taipei.
Near airport and high speed train. Gateway city for Taiwan. Stay if late arrival, then depart for Taipei or elsewhere in the AM.
There is nothing much about Taoyuan but if you want to have local dishes, there are a lot of old food stall more than 30 year history in that area.
Taoyuan has many attractions such as the Republic of Chocolate factory and also many family fun-filled attractions.
It is there for the airport pretty much only but there are things to see around there if you wish to stay a couple of days.
My clients brought me to the outskirts; not sure where but there's a big dam and it's surrounded by eateries selling fish freshly caught from its waters.
