Salalah hotels & places to stay

The fanatic hotel is located east of Salalah on a beautiful beach. It hase nice spacious rooms excellent swimming pools and beautiful private beach. The staff are extremely helpful especially suliaman, they go extra mile to make life easier for the guests. Restaurant is very limited in food choice and expensive. Management need to consider providing business center facilities as this is important for these type of hotels. In the lobby they serve Omani coffee and dates Both do not represent Oman. The coffee is bad and the dates are even worse and not good for human consumption. Yes I will go and stay again at fan at hotel and recommend it for other travelers to Salalah. The management however , should do better and need to be creative.

All of the staffs are very friendly and polite. We felt so comfy and cozy in the hotel. Everywhere you can see people smiling. The beach is so beautiful well taken care of, there is even a dolphin view point, where you might see dolphins on a good day. We didn't have the lucl since our stay in the hotel was influeced by the tropical storm luban. All the staff were very good prepared for the storm and put our security as the first priority. If you are in Rotana Salalah Hotel, no worry at all, you are in good hands.

Travelling with a big family consisting of 7 adults and 5 children. The hotel is a new facility and i am sure it will be better as time passes by and the staff gets extra experience. The following area are subject to improvement: 1- amenities are not given on a daily basis. Were only available on the first day. 2- kitchen has no air conditioner. 3- Wifi did not reach all the rooms and was not stable. 4- swimming pool is not heated. 5- emergency door was found locked. 6- front desk should have maps of the amusements of Salalah. 7- there is no dining facility at the hotel. 8- it would have been better if there were Omani people working in the front desk.

my stay at this hotel is a best memory in Salalah. The room with kitchen is really comfortable and clean. Room size really big and the swimming pools is very nice. i enjoyed the breakfast with variety food and the restaurant also in a big size and very helpful staff. Its very fast check in and check out. I'm sure to come back to Sumharam Tourist Village when i visit Salalah next time. For info..at the beach side next to this hotel there's a tomb that local people said its belong to Nabi Yunus A.S... overall this is a best and value for money hotel!!

i reside in Salalah and booked an executive room at salalah garden mall hotel on the Agoda .com for my sons birthday for a fun stay. the booking itself was a pleasurable experience i felt i got the best rate, we arrived at the hotel on a wednesday evening the staff right from the concierge ,the reception whomever we met were so welcoming and well mannered the check in was superfast and hassle free i requested for a late checkout at the time of check in and the guy at the reception a egyptian i forget his name ,politely obliged i checked into a room on the 1st floor but found that it dint have a balcony i called the front office and the front office manager Mr Abid called me back and politely promised to change my room and very soon we were shifted to a room with a balcony and an awesome garden view. our stay was very comfortable my sons friends joined us to cut a cake in the room and the hotel authorities didnt object. the restaurant staff was exceptionally good, breakfast average.

I really enjoyed this hotel and am very happy with what I paid for it. It is simple, provided us with a clean room, and was spacious. It is located in the heart of Salalah city, with plenty of restaurants and shops around. The plan was to drive around the countryside in the morning and afternoon and to return back to the hotel in the evening. Would ask the front desk to clean the room whenever we left in the morning and by the time we came back after sightseeing the room was clean. The food in the hotel is actually quite good and quite well priced. On the nights we were really tired and didn't have the desire to go out to eat we ordered in and it came to around 4 Omani riyals for two people (aprox $11). Again, I say the food was of a good standard. Breakfast was complimentary and sufficient, not 5 star, but then you are not paying 5 stars. Overall I can say that I was pleasantly surprised, much better than I anticipated.

I was put in 'Star Emirates Suites'. I had a wonderful experience. It was a new building with everything from AC to utensils everything new. The staff are very good and helpful. The rooms are very clean, well maintained and fairly spacious. Though they have no provision for food, but you can have delivery services for all kinds of cousins ranging from Indian, Chinese, Arabian, Continental etc. with a range of choices of restaurant and budget and mostly delivered in less than 30 minutes. So having good food is not a problem. In short, very good choice for any budget traveler, travelling with family. The only downside I feel is the lack of proper parking space. I'll strongly recommend it to any one planning for a long stay in Salalah.

Good location. Super clean and comfy room with good amenities. Breakfast was not great. Hot selection could have been much better with more variety and flavour. Good choice of pastry. MUST MUST MUST dine at the rooftop grill. Moorthy, Yasoda and team were excellent and the food was to die for!! Amazingly flavourful local meat along with other local delicacies. This was the highlight of our stay at the Millennium. Front desk staff were polite but not friendly. Not a single welcoming smile at the reception upon arrival at 3.00am after a long 23 hour drive (after being stuck at the UAE-Oman border for over 9 hours). A warm welcome would have made a big difference. Overall good property.

We had a lovely stay and hotel can be recommended. Friendly and very helpful staff. Beautiful location where you can see both sunrise and sunset over the ocean, right from your balcony (sea view rooms). Free wi-fi is close to the best that we experienced in any hotel only a bit slow during peak times but with more than one network available on each floor, switching between them during peak times worked quite well. Hotel does not serve alcohol but restaurants serving alcohol is within walking distance along the beach. The only drawback was the breakfast. They only had a small variety and the scramble eggs were tasteless. I recommend to ask for fried eggs. Salalah got no public transport except for the taxis. Car rental is recommended as both taxi service and private tour operators are expensive. We paid OR 7 for a taxi from airport to the hotel and OR 11.135 a day for a prearranged rental car(delivered to the hotel as the car rental agency would not deliver to airport early on Friday morning.

I stayed twice at the Darbat hotel and can thoroughly recommend it. The hotel is located conveniently in central Salalah within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants / take away, just a short taxi ride from the airport, far better than some Salalah hotels which can be up to 20km away. The rooms are spacious and clean, with en suite facilities, free fast reliable internet etc..., I found the staff really great and always eager to help. It's a pleasure staying at the Darbat, it's great value and I will certainly stay here again when in Salalah.

Of the three Omani Crowne Plaza hotels I have stayed in, this has the nicest location, being right on the beach. But, the buffet was very ordinary - certainly the worst of the 3. Given Salalah is a fishing port, the seafood buffet was tired. On the bright side, the hotel grounds are lovely and a great place to relax after the long drive to Salalah. There are lots of things to do around and about, but you either need your own car or to be in a tour. Expensive for the value, especially compared to Duqm CP. But still a nice place to visit.

I wasnt happy with this experince at all but I was forced to book a hotel that has no previous reviews assuming this is new hotel and had not too many choicses..after booking the hotel through agoda I checked the contact# which was GSM# not telephone line!! And it was out of reach then I tryied to reach the hotel using the provided coordinates but it was taking me inside governmental permises as well the adress is also wrong..this was the first imprecion which was not promising start..I called agoda and they couldnt get another contact however the agoda lady in the contact center was smart enough zoom in to one of the picture of the hotel to read the contacts in one small sign board on the front elevation picture of the hotel....agoda exoressed their regrets of what has happened and offer me some discount but I told them let me reach the hotel first and agoda will call me after some time..in the arrival to the hotel there was Pakistani guy and Bengali guy who didnt even said sorry to this.any way I was tyired after driving 920km with my family and was keen to get my one room appartment but unfortuately there was nothing available to me althiugh it was showing 2 appartments when I booked...they offered me bigger appartment with two rooms but also it was still under cleaning so I was really frustrated as we are tyired ..any way had no time to look for another apoartment in a busy season especially it was 5 afternion.so I wait them to clean and fiund them not replacibg bed sheets!! What is this? Iasked them to change them so they cgsnged only for the king bed but not for the sigles beds as they had no bed sheets!! They said the are waiting for the lsundry and will change in evening..so I went outside afrer geting some rest and in the eveing I askd for the bed sheets and they were not arranging them so when I insist on geting them they sent adriver to bring them and gave it to me afrer 2 hrs ..it was late evenjng and had to make up them my self...after one day they

i wa on such hotel whkich really good and clean , qwait , its the nearst hotels s really enjoyed and my family was very happy for stayingi so ever from all city center , shoppping malls and site view of salalah green mountain , you can say it on the middel of the salalah city with larg and enugth car abarking area and the most good thinks is this hotel is near to the hospital ... good luck dears i hope i will comes again

It's almost in city centre so very convenient to rome around. There are plenty of restaurant and a supermarkets nearby to buy stuff. Finding apartment initially is a little difficult as there are no proper guidance, apartment lift is very old and dangerous, there is risk someone might get stuck (specially kids) as door closes automatically even if you tap the open button. There is no wifi in the building so you have to rely on your data bundle. There are no kitchen amenities as mentioned in the add other than refrigerator. Please buy diposal plates and glasses if you have to stay there.

This hotel location is good and easy to find in Salalah Oman. Other than that nothing special or even standard. We paid 80 Omani Riyal per night for 5 nights and got a service of 15 Omani Riyal. We paid for extra bed and there was no extra bed at all and even hotel staff informed they don't have facility of extra bed. Internet wifi having frequently issues,Hall AC was not working, Fridge was not working, Wash room shower was out of order, bedsheets and comforters was not clean. As whole not good experience at all. Due to peak season rates are too high but service is as one star hotel. We paid 6 times more than hotel standard and quality.
