Puerto Galera hotels & accommodations

Nice and quiet, good breakfasts, very accomodating staff. Stayed in the new units, top floor. A lot of steps and the view not that great - 50/50 og roofs on other buildings and water. Beach was the big dissapointment. Never went into water there. Highly poluted with raw sewage discharge right into the bay and the bad smell of it, yet the local government charges pier...

This resort indeed have the best staff. We arrived at the resort before check-in time but room's available so we're allowed to check in early which was nice because we had time to rest before the tour. The room was very neat and homey. The ambiance was very peaceful and relaxing. Also very thankful for the front desk manager, Miss Shirley for accommodating all my queri...

If you plan on going to Puerto Galera just to unwind - away from the stress of life, this would be the place to really enjoy nature without having to forego the luxury and comfort. The villas are distinctly situated that you have a good view of the beach area plus the pool. Beds are comfortable and rooms nicely decorated & clean. The resort itself is quite far from the ...

We were 3 people from Hong Kong travelling to Puerto Galera mainly to experience scuba diving. We are quite satisfied regarding the facilities, including the pool, restaurant, massage room, room condition, etc. Although you need to pay for tax and service fee for the food you order from the restaurant, the price is very affordable, similar to outside restaurants but h...

This is how i describe this hotel in Puerto Galera. Nice tidy and cozy rooms, very well maintained every day, lots of water activities to offer and best diving site to explore with experience instructor. It was a good choice , we enjoyed our stay. Keep up the great work, have a very prosperous and successful season ahead.

This is my second stay here, and it was just as pleasant as my first. A well run and very clean hotel with great staff and service. Eating in the restaurant was by far the best food we ate in Puerto Galera... Just a really pleasant stay and highly recommended... It's not often that you stay somewhere and everything works and you can't fault the place... Well I give the...

This was our first trip to the Philippines/Puerto Galera so we did not have any preconceived expectations of what to expect from accommodations in Sabang Beach. Montani Beach Resort was excellent and we extended our original two night reservation to all four nights of our stay in Puerto Galera after our first night. The pool is a nice amenity for just relaxing and dri...

My stay was fantastic. I already was so happy when I saw the great big lounging sofa on the clean, and colorful (tastefully done)veranda just outside my room. I loved my room with the care for high quality linens and towels. I was happy to see a small refridgerator filled with various food and drink at good prices. The safety deposit box worked excellently and made me ...

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was a solo traveler and never been to PG before so I thought I'd give the island a try. Like the island of Puerto Galera, This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I intended to stay for 2 nights but ended up extending it to 6. The hotel is not Beach front and I wouldn't swim on this beach anyway, its not meant for that. Sabang Beach which i...

Coco Beach Island Resort is EXCELLENT! Although the regular rooms are a bit dark, the entire experience is superb! Although it is a bit isolated, it is the best place to be in Puerto Galera. We found a nice mix of foreigners and Philippinos. The morning free boat trips are wonderful. And the walk out of the back of the property to the Laguna beaches was beautiful ....

Summer Connection is situated at the far side of White Beach in Puerto Galera, which is good especially if you want to be away from the bustling night life. The hotel is right at the beach front so it's better to walk along the beach once you arrive from the boat terminal to access the hotel. The easy access to the beach and relative quiet of the hotel compared to othe...

We had a great time in Puerto Galera. The place was good for a group. We booked 2 rooms, 3 people in each room. It was very accessible to the white beach parties. The staff were friendly, and there is a per hour extension fee option. In case you want to extend your stay. Excellent service!

We booked Sunny Beach Resort (previously known as Puerto Galera Beach Club. It has since been renamed after new management has taken over) for our 3-day stay in Puerto Galera, Mindoro. The place was superb! The ride going to the place was a bit rocky and steep, but the ambiance of the resort and the beach in front of it was worth every bump. I highly recommend that yo...

This is definitely the best hotel in Puerto Galera, the rooms in the new wing are superb and the views over the infinity pool and ocean are amazing. I have two teenage children who are difficult to please but they loved this hotel. The staff were lovely, they could not do enough for us, always asking if we wanted anything, and just being genuinely very friendly. ...

Booked 4 Quadrooms for a group of 16 adults and 2 kids. Arrived at 9am and very lucky that the rooms are available right away. Yes, early check in with no extra charge. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A stone throw away from the White Beach. First time in Puerto Galera. This trip will not be forgotten. Thank Mam Derling. More power to your family. God Bless.

This has been our choice of resort whenever we are in Puerto Galera - been here prior the construction of the building and pool - and the experience has always been very pleasant and memorable. I love the renovations they made - the pool is an exciting bonus. They allowed us to check in early without any extra charges, and they allowed us to change rooms given that we ...

as what the title said, me and my girlfriend felt so regretted when we realize we only booked here for just 1 night! And always been ask by my girlfriend if we could stay for another night regardless we already booked another room at white beach for the following day. We were greet warmly by the owner, Richard when he saw us walking to the resort. Then we were welcomed...

My partner and I originally booked 2 nights at verde view villas. Upon arriving and seeing the beautiful view, and rooms as well as interacting with the wonderful staff, we decided to extend our stay another night. The staff are all so welcoming, friendly and eager to help with anything. The owners are very generous and welcoming people, they have a house close by and ...

Badladz is an extremely well run small hotel in Puerto galera which offers western standards but keeps its philippino qualities. All the staff that work there speak good English and are great with all aspects of there job. 10 mins drive from Puerto Galera town proper, 5 mins drive to nearest town with supermarkets and 15 mins drive to white beach. Food was also great...

This by far is the best hotel i have stayed in puerto galera. The beach is right infront of you when you go out from their restaurant. Although the room is a bit small for their king size bed. Theres no closet only drawers and one disappointment is they missed a spot in cleaning the bathroom. However, staff is friendly and very accommodating. When we requested for our ...

This is near the drop off point of the bancas coming from Batangas Pier. I have booked this through Agoda.com and the rate if cheap for a 5-pax group. The room itself has a double and 3 single beds with the thinnest bed spread I have experienced. The bathroom at the minimum, functional. Just be careful with the sink otherwise it will fall off. The hot shower is just ...

Location is great, in a quiet part of town, 5 minute walk to the center of Sabang Beach. Rooms are clean. Too smallto spend any time in the room. But luckily El Galleon has a beautiful, large restaurant area for drinks and to access the Internet. El Galleon also has a beautiful and relaxing bar facing the sea. Food in Philippnes is in general sub par when compared to t...

I had been to White Beach a few times a decade ago and had always found it to be too crowded and noisy. Therefore, I had long shunned Puerto Galera as a vacation destination. However, this weekend trip to Monkey Beach Dive Resort was a revelation - that I was basically ignorant of the best that Puerto Galera had to offer. Found on Sabang, MBDR (along with sister proper...

I was on vacation in the Philippines with a few friends for my birthday. It actually was 2 of my friends' birthdays on the same month too. We were spoiled from the very beginning--got a great deal for a deluxe suite, escorted by one of their representatives at the port and were able to check in early without any additional fees. The hotel itself is a little bit of a r...

friendly staff. they have security box if you ask them where you can keep your valuble things. restaurant 10 meter from beach. aslso a large balcony from where you can see the beach. all in all a plesant basic hotel. i rented a scooter in puerto galera port and from the port it only takes 30 miuntes to get to white beach hotel. once you have a motorbike its also nice ...

This was our 4th time in Puerto Galera and 1st time to stay this area to celebrate our Chinese New Year vacation. The small fishing village was very quiet. And the beach and sea water were more appropriate for seeing than swiming. The room was spacious, nice and clean, and had a simple kitchen. The public market was only 1.2KM away and easy to buy something for cookin...
Cheap places to stay in Puerto Galera

I booked a room with AC. It says standard room with fan but room details indicates its with AC. I tried talking to the owner but she doesn't seem to have an idea. Windows has no screen so there's mosquitos. On my 9 days stay, room was cleaned once. Only brooming of the floor. Owners were very kind and entertaining. Also, the rooms are at the basement. Internet is upsta...

Relatively cheap if compare to other hotels with this standard. Considering its accommodating staffs towards guests, a comfy bed, a very clean swimming pool & working hot shower, this hotel in my opinion is one of the best place to stay that's worth the money in Puerto Galera. As we arrived and check-in at the reception, we were greeted with friendly & welcoming staf...

Casa Mia is a great place to stay when visiting Puerto Galera! The location is great. A tricycle ride away from the white beach. Though there is a closer beach, Aninuan beach which is a 2-5min walk from the hotel. We had the beach to ourselves during our stay. The hotel staff are really friendly. Breakfast that was served is delicious. The hotel also has its own serv...

I have stayed in Sabang on a number of occasions, but this is the first time at Villa Sabang. I was on a limited budget so I chose Villa Sabang because it supplied rooms with a kitchen and within my price range. The room was large and contained an AC, fan and a basic kitchen and refrigerator. Getting to the room involved climbing 75 steps (yes, I counted them!). This ...

It was my first time going to Galera and 2nd time for my partner. The hotel is nice and big, AC is working well with cable tv. We used room 3 at the ground flr. Something to look into is their shower, the water pressure is too slow/low. They are so close to the beach (less than 3mins walk). It is also located in white beach. We will surely be back!

I like the cleanliness of the room. The sheets smelled nice. I like that it’s halfway between the beach and the highway so you get to see the best of both places. It’s far enough from the beach that you’re away from the chaos but close enough so you have your beach fix after a 5-min walk. I especially like the fact that there’s an aircon unit AND an electric fan. There...

Nice place. Has kitchenette so you could do some limited cooking. A/C unit is in bedroom so the living room and kitchen don't get much A/C but wasn't a problem for me as I don't like too much A/C anyway. Excellent location, quiet but 2 minutes from main streets. When you are dropped off by the ferry shuttle ask a local where it is as it is down a bit of a maze of stre...

This is a nice little hotel / resort by my favorite beach in Puerto Galera. The food is acceptable and the place is functional for the most part, meaning being a traditional Filipino owned place the plumbing only 1/2 works. However overall this is a good right on the beach. Mind you, the hotel is family run and staff are NOT trained on hotel etiquette. I had a staff...

Its our 1st time in puerto galera with my daughter. I got a room from agoda for standard room but they upgraded it into 2 bedroom which is nice. The room space is big. 😁. The only downside of the trip is that too many mosquitos at night and early morning. It come from the bathroom window , its actually an open brick window without any small screen. But overall its a w...

2nd time to come back and stay in this hotel. It’s new. Staff are nice. It has a close by beach just a few meter walk from the hotel. Has a very nice Italian restaurant downstairs. Just along the main road and you can easily get a tricycle. The price is unbeatable for the quality of service compared to other hotels in Puerto Galera.

-Located at the best part of White Beach... Far away enough from the karaoke/show bars to get a peaceful night's rest. -Property is right on the beach front. Some rooms have the beach view, others don't (the room we got) but it was ok because rooms were only a few steps from the beach. -Room, toilet and bath were very clean. I had commended the resort manager about how...

this hotel is on the best side of sabang beach, just a short walk from the ferry. it was my first time staying at this hotel in puerto galera, so be ready for the royal treatment. the staff meet us at the docks and picked up my bags on request. my room had a balcony with great relaxing views day or night. the room had everything ac, tv, internet, with chairs couches...

It was a nice stay though. Just few minutes walk to the beach and you get what you paid for. Only disappointed by the room assigned because aircon wasn't working fine and some electronic outlets are busted. Bring your own towels because provided ones are not wet absorbent. But overall, overnight stay indeed was good!

Nice and quiet, good breakfasts, very accomodating staff. Stayed in the new units, top floor. A lot of steps and the view not that great - 50/50 og roofs on other buildings and water. I and my friends enjoyed staying at Felina's Guest House. Though it was not that classy, it offered us services that satisfied us a lot. I'll definitely go back to this place and refer as well to my friends who'll be going there in Puerto Galera. ^_^

in my opinion villa fernandez is the best location for me in puerto galera - i love the serenity & away from the noise of busy town of sabang. i love their big balconies overlooking the water, friendly staff, very clean & spacious. the price is reasonable & affordable. on the otherhand, if your a backpacker & into pub crawling, i won't recommend the place. you nee...

The owner and the receptionist did not see my booking online even though it was already paid a week before the date of our arrival so when we arrived after a long tiring trip we were ask wait for they not aware nor prepared. I booked for a family room with 3 beds however since they didnt see my booking they gave it to others and instead the gave us the smaller one tha...

The place is at the other end of the beach, right side facing the land (left side facing the sea). It is near White Lodge. You can pass through White Lodge, the gates are open up until 9pm. Another route is just beside White Lodge, there is an alley going to Rexy's - a bit scary and dark way. Anyway, the locals are friendly and helpful, they are always willing to help ...

This is the best hotel I’ve been to Puerto Galera. The location is beach front, very accessible. The hotel room is spacious, great deal for the price. It is cheap if you will look at how good the location and quality is. I appreciate the welcome drinks! Hotel staff are very nice. I left something important here and they kept it until someone picked it up for me. I love...

I stayed at this resort for a total of 6 nights after only planning on staying for 3. The room is within Simon's Heritage Hotel, a partner of Zen Rooms in Puerto Galera. The staff are pleasant, friendly, and accommodating. We didn't like the room initially assigned to us and requested to be transferred to another and I appreciate that they even showed us the new room for us to check if it is to our preference. The accommodation comes with a free breakfa...

Together with my girlfriend we stayed in this place. We expected that the place was great but in our dismayed it was not. The place is only good if you want a place to rest and you want a cheaper room. There is no view outside the place. The rooms are not that big enough. Even though, it is just 5 minutes away from the town proper of Puerto Galera.

My wife and I stayed here from November 1 to November 5. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by the staff with a mango shake and cool towel to refresh us from our walk to the resort. Fridays was delightful, and we will go back again!!! This is a basically a new Resort in Puerto Galera, soon to enjoy their one year anniversary as well in Dec. 2018. One the best location for a relaxing escape we ever had. Manor staff is genuinely happy to serve and cater to what we need. We where upgraded to better room upon arrival. Their receptionist named "Marie" was very helpf...

Situated in Sabang, El Galleon Dive Resort is definitely one of the best dive resorts in the area - and there is certainly no shortage of 'resorts' on offer . The dive operation of Asia Divers is very well run, had good equipment, storage and clean up areas and even a hot shower and clean towels. This resort was the only dive operation that has its own wharf making get...

This is honestly the best resort we’ve been to in Puerto Galera. Breathtaking views, great food, amazing staff - what else could you ask for?! Luxury hotels in Puerto Galera

I had the best time at Victoria bed and breakfast. The owners and staff was nice curious. They treated me like family Victoria made breakfast every morning all the food was delicious. On the top they have a bar and 2 pool tables and on Tuesday the have a tournament.

Victoria's B&B was a great place to stay in Puerto Galera. It has I think 6 or 7 rooms on the 2nd floor. The ground floor is the private house where Victoria lives. The 3rd floor is where the bar and 2 billiard tables are located. The toilet and bathroom is clean, the pressure of the water is not that good, but it's fine with us. There are free toiletries like toothb...

Our stay was really nice! The rooms felt like home away from home, it was so clean and spacious. The breakfast was also like it was served at home. Third floor is great for recreational activities like billiards and social drinking. Ms. Victoria and her husband were so welcoming and hospitable, they and their staff assisted us well during our stay and even with our tou...

This B&B is definitely one of the best lodgings that a person can go to if ever they plan to go to Puerto Galera. The owners and staff of the B&B are kind and courteous, the rooms are well furnished, and even if it’s not situated near the beach, it’s only 2 minutes away (walking distance)! Also, the breakfast is remarkable! If you’re planning to go drinking at night,...

We would recommend Victoria Bed and Breakfast for your stay in Puerto Galera. It is approximately a 7 to 10 minute walk from the beach. The place is suitble for sleeping since it is away from the noise coming from the beach during night. Ms. Victoria, the owner, is very accomodating and responsive to inquiries. The room is cozy, clean and well-maintained. They have a r...

Our stay the White House in PGYC was very memorable, the house was in excellent condition (minor issues with water but that was a Puerto Galera wide issue). The caretaker was very accommodating and helped guide us to the location via phone as it is located up a hill a little off of the main road so this was much appreciated. The friendly housekeeper came in everyday an...

I love that there is so much to see here: the ocean, a city with mountains as its backdrop, peoples of different cultures come together here to celebrate the wonderful work of man and nature that is Puerto Galera.
Fell in love with it. The Sabang harbor looked like a combination of a Greek island and the Istanbul harbor.
Puerto Galera is indeed a nice place, but i think the Governance of Tourism there should pay attention on the transport for the tourist especially on the tricycle that is usually used to travel or transfer in other places.
Area is very poor and primitive. Only famous for the diving. I understand mthere are girlie bars at downtown but did not went to see or check.
Puerto Galera is not a city or even close to it. It is a scuba diving destination. Sabang Beach is not a beach, it's a tidal flat.
Beautiful island with friendly people. There wasn't anything negative from my visit the whole trip was outstanding from diving to sight seeing, relaxation to nightlife.
Puerto Galera, as you arrive on one of the many boats from Batangas, does not really glitter, the sea channel in the close waters does however until you dock.
Puerto Galera is just the city. All attractions are within 15 minute scooter of tuktuk ride. Don't forget to visit the golf course in the mountains with beautiful view I'd the seaside.
Next time I will visit this place, I will visit the white beach part of puerto galera as this place has more sports activity than sabang.
Nice, local experience. But the big plus for this area is you can find places nicely secluded and so relaxing.
Fortunately the total area is not developed to the extent of the original area is that is abit on the pathetic side.
Hidden treasure not accessible by plane, but the boat trip via Calapan for those bringing their cars, or via Muelle, for those parking their cars at Batamgas port, is a breeze.
We went sight seeing using one of the Trikes to some water falls and visited some mountain viewing spots on the east side of the Island .
Many gays. Even in the restaurants the waiters are mostly gays. The shows are all gays. So i don't recommend going out at night with kids because the shows are not wholesome.
Sometimes the local salespersons are very pushy. If you aren't interested, make sure you are firm with them.
for a cost of Php1,500.00 for a group of not more than 6, you can have island hopping. you will transfer from a relatively bigger boat to a small boat to be able to reach the coral island, so as not to destroy the corals.
Get an accommodation in White Beach if you are after Night Life and Get an accommodation in Aninuan if you are after Serenity, view and a little bit of adventure
The city of PG itself is nothing special, but the White Beach area has a fabulous beach, lots of bars , and good restaurants.
There are quite many restaurants and pubs, and it is not difficult to find your favorite places there in terms of taste and atmosphere.
Puerto Galera is a small town with very friendly inhabitants. If you want to get around then either hire a motorbike or get a motorbike taxi as the cheapest form of transport.
People are mostly unfriendly and overprice services. Not much food choices. Beaches are pebbled with lots of sharp stones.
The boat company - Father and Sons Lines have a very rude staff. They even not have a system. If you bribe them you first board on the boat even if you arrive last.
Puerto Galera is NOT a city. It is a small town, and the name incorporates other nearby resorts, Sabang where I stayed, and White Beach.
Puerto is quite different to other parts of the Philippines I have visited. The locals are more relaxed and friendly and not as pushy as in many other places.
Puerta Galera has very nice beaches, lots of smaller hotels, many restaurants, and plenty of shopping places for souveniers, etc.
If you're going to travel by boat carry light because you to walk until you reach your hotel area.Tamaraw falls, Aninuan beach, and the nicest beach the White beach, night life anything you want.
very accessible, affordable, a little crowded but ok just choose hotels which are a bit far from bars.
many beatiful beach in this area, also many goof choice of hotel but the travel facilities is not so good.
In White Beach - visit DOlce Mare for supper, breakfast or lunch. Lively food with hilarious & fun staff.
Puerto Galera means port of the Galleons. It is a natural harbour, so activities are centred around the water.
