Staff here are friendly & helpful. Room service was quick. Good breakfast & bar in foyer. Hotel clean & spacious. The beach across the road could be really good if someone cleaned it up. Dong Hoi doesn't seem like it's got a hub? Unbelievable how they have rebuilt the city after being totally destroyed by the war. Stayed here because of Phong Nha national park, which was amazing!

The hotel room was great, but had a lot of wasted space (stayed in a king, but was mistakenly given a queen deluxe first, much better space and cheaper) staff on reception were friendly and spoke broken english, but the rest of the staff did not speak english at all. Buffet breakfast was adequate but not fantastic and the hotel is located no where near anything (although there is not a lot in Dong Hoi anyway!) Noce rooftop pool, and if you want to relax there, it's a nice place to do it.

This hotel is just opened in June, so the villa still under construction though, the hotel room is very nice. The price is very reasonable. The pool is big and have some kids playground next to the pool. Even they have shower booth on the corner of the pool. That is very convenient and family friendly. So that my daughter could enjoy the playground with me and my son could also enjoy swimming at the same place. The staffs are very friendly and the view from the restaurant (8F) is also nice. Just one thing that this place, Quang Binh, is not so many places to see. There is a beach and a national park. So if you just stay at a hotel and enjoying the beach, pool, and sightseeing phong nha ke bang national park......very recommended. I think the best hotel in this town.

Sun Spa Resort was more than I expected. The location was near the center of the city and it was so convenient. The scenery here was fantastic. The private beach was so beautiful and blue water. The staff was super friendly and hospitable. We loved swimming pools which were so big next to the beach. Services were good. Food served at restaurant was delicious and diverse. Plus, I and my wife really enjoyed Spa here. The staff was very skillful. Summing Up, I would go back to Quang Binh just to stay at this resort again. It's definately money worth spent.

The whole resort was amazing. Our Sea view bungalow was so clean and comfortable with lovely views. The pool area was great and had it to ourselves most of the day but the beach was something else. Stunning and once again all to ourselves. The only small criticism is not much to do in the evening in Dong Hoi itself as not on the tourist map yet and very little English is spoken but that did not spoil our trip. Highly rated.

I stayed at this hotel for one night on transit backhome from Da Nang. Hotel gained my choice as i once stayed at Muong Thanh Ha Tinh hotel on the way to Danang. Muong Thanh hotel is one of the best local hotel brand amongst their class with affordable price, friend staff and good condition of room. You always feel worth at each dong you spend at this hotel. One minus thing is breakfast with localized foods which may not match all tastes, anyway you rarely see an empty plate on food rack. Muong Thanh Quang Binh located at perfect point right front of Nhat Le beach where you always experience glorious scene of sunrise every morning. And will enjoy the taste of fresh seafood by night just few steps from hotel door. The hotel wins my choice.

The Riverside Hotel, Dong Hoi is a relatively new hotel built in French Colonial Style, which seems a little out of place with its surroundings, but it is very clean, spacious and the staff extremely helpful and attentive. We only stayed one night in Dong Hoi and found the hotel central enough for us to walk most places for a look around this part of the city. The beach nearby is not very inviting and at the time of our visit (Late October) was quite deserted. The Riverside Hotel is good value for money. My only disappointment was the breakfast.. We had to leave early to catch a train to Da Nang and went to the breakfast buffet at 6:15 (It opens at 6:00) and found that the food was still being setup and not all ready. The coffee was also not good; unusual in Vietnam.

We stayed in four of the villas and they were beautiful. The rooms were new, huge with great bathroom. There are free wifi, a restaurant, bar, pool, and billiards table; a big lake with kayaks to keep you entertained. The restaurant has many food choices and they are delicious and reasonable . We did have lunches and dinners during the vacation here because its a bit far from towns ! Staff at front desk are extremely friendly, helpful and responsive. After checking out and on the way back to Dong Hoi city, we realized that we forgot 2 luggages besides reception desk and we called the receptionist. 2 hours later, they brought our luggages to the bus station for us. Many thanks!!!

Great rooms, comfortable, good views of sea, river, and or city. very nice swinnimg pool on the roof 17th floor, also a nice lounge there with great views day and night, friendly staff in the lounge. Very good breakfast buffet with helpful staff. It's a new hotel, so expect some minor problems with information, etc. and it is far from other facilities such as restraunts, mini-marts, shopping, etc. but it's a tradeoff with the sea, beach, river nearby. It is better if you have wheels.

While more expensive than most of the places we stayed at in Vietnam, Victory Road Villas is worth every cent. We enjoyed dinner overlooking the river, great recommendations and support with logistics, and even Netflix for evening entertainment. The dinner menu is Western/Continental food. It would be great if Victory Road Villas offered some Vietnamese cuisine as well (beyond the fried spring rolls). There's a sauna next to the pool which was most welcome after being out in the cool winter mist all day.

My solotrip was amazing with my stay in CKC Thien Duong Hotel. My room was river view and it was totally very nice. Just 1 thing for your consideration, there were only 2 choices for your breakfast (noddles or eggs & bread) but for it's not a big deal because I really enjoyed the new built room with nice view, good facilities and friendly & helpful staffs. Thank you for having me and be one of my best memories in Quang Binh.

Found this place as passing trade having tried 2 others in the area. By far the best of the 3 and from talking to other travellers it seems the best in the area! Got a double room - spacious, comfy beds, great en suite (great, hot shower with good pressure), clean throughout and very helpful and friendly staff who speak good english. We rented a scooter and booked our bus out via them and no hassle with either. They had a map for us to get to the local sights and were full of advice. Breakfast wasn't great. Don't be put off by the lack of reviews - the receptionist told me the place has only been open a few months and it does seem new.

I had to stay in this town because I was doing a cave tour (Oxalis) and it might be one of the nicest hotels in town - BUT that doesn't mean it's luxurious! Staff had poor English and if you wanted help, you had to seek them out. While the rooms were big and clean, the sheets were so rough! It really bothered me that the hotel chose to spend money on nice flat screen TVs instead of upgrading the sheet thread count. I get the feeling westerns might pay more, so if you are confortable not making a reservation and showing up day of (unless there is a holiday!) go for it.

Good location, opposite with Nhat Le Beach. Only one problem is check in time 14:00PM. Need to pay half day fee if you want to check in in the morning. Vị trí đẹp, đối diện biển Nhật Lệ, nhân viên thân thiện. Chỉ có một vấn đề về thời gian check in 14:00 và không nhiệt tình lắm trong việc hỗ trợ lấy phòng sớm, lấy sớm trả thêm phí nửa ngày. Ngoài ra sáng và tối có nhiều dĩn không biết ở đâu, bám vào chân.

This is a wonderful, basic hotel in Dong Hoi. Spartan, but has everything you need for the price. If you need fancy artwork or a separate dining room, this isn't for you. But it suited me fine and judging by other comments many other people too. The front desk is helpful and, while they don't all speak good English, they will refer you to a person who does. The manager is a beautiful lady who speaks great English and is super helpful in every way. All the staff were great! We booked a private driver to take us to the caves - easy peasy - and avoided the crowded 'set tour' buses (we are 3 very tall travelers). We don't like being herded through sights and just took our own time in the caves. It's cost effective, even if you are traveling alone. The caves are well worth the trip to Dong Hoi. Incredible, and set up well for tourists. There is no need to try to stay at the caves, it's a 1 - 1.5 hour drive from Dong Hoi. We extended our hotel stay becasue it was so easy to be based in the Nam Long Plus hotel. I would highly recommend just booking the car and driver they have at call. We also booked the car and driver to take us to Danang (5 hours and more comfortable than a bus or train).

We chose this hotel because of it’s location. We left Hoi An by bus at 1pm and by 9pm we arrived to Phong Nha. The bus left us just in front of the hotel, as it’s in the middle of the village. In the same hotel we could get the tour package for the following day (they have a lot of offers to combine paradise cave, dark cave, phong nha cave...) for a decent price. Furthermore, the bus next day picked us up in the hotel and then, when we finished the activities took us to Dong Hoi where we had a flight the next day. All included in the package price. The wifi signal was good. The room was quite big and aircon great. Breakfast is a bit simple though, just the typical rice, noodles and omelette.

This place has all the good things about a hotel and all the good things about a home stay in one location. The woman and her husband who run this place are incredible. She cooked the most amazing and plentiful vegetarian dinner for us. So good. Breakfast was also awesome. On our second and last day, we had to leave really really early and the husband rushed out and bought us delicious breakfast and rushed back before we even left. Did I mention he washed our motorcycles while we were gone. The view is awesome the rooms great too. Just stay here.

I was very happy with the staff - a super friendly and helpful girl :) Sorry I forgot her name ~~ There are many good choices for your breakfast and they are all good ^^ But comparing with other hotels/ homestay in Phong Nha, this hotel price is a little bit higher because I am solotraveler, no share cost haha. If you want to fully have the river view room, please make sure by checking with the owner before booking as they have only 1 room like this. Also, it's located quite far away from the center of Phong Nha, so let's consider if you want to enjoy the local life at night in the center. But no worries, there are many bikes (free) for you to ride to the center.

From the moment I booked, I received a personal message from Lynh to confirm the booking and make sure everything will be fine when I arrive. I ended up showing up much later, and missed her when I arrived. She came to my room later to welcome me properly. I had booked a tour with a different company prior to coming here, but she still gave good information about my coming adventure anyway. Everyone here has been very nice here. They have little private houses in the backyard with everything you need and the array of little garden tables around the garden are also very nice. The location can be good or bad, depending on what you're after. She's slightly away from the main town, and just by the river. It's quieter, but if you do want to go to town, you'll need to borrow one of the bicycles. It takes five to ten minutes. Food is also good and there is a decent selection for the included breakfast to choose from. I'll be back here after my caving expedition!

This place is the perfect hotel to stay at in Dong Hoi. I stayed here twice while in Dong Hoi between trips to Phong Nha. I was so happy to come back the second time. After spending the night in the jungle and trekking for a couple of days I needed something comfortable and Gemani Hotel was exactly that. The bed is huge, the AC is strong, and the staff is amazing. The people who work here go above and beyond for guest, especially Meo. She is so friendly and helpful. She even reminded me about my trip when I forgot and made sure I was able to get on the public bus that doesn't actually stop. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay Gemani! I'll be back some day for more cave exploring!

This lovely homestay was one of the highlights of my trip to Dong Hoi! This homestay reflects well the character of its owner Sarah: a cheering, friendly and welcoming young lady, who works hard to make her guests happy. I was impressed by her friendliness, taking me to enjoy the beach and join her group of friends for an interesting talk. She has also made great improvements to her hotel, designing and building a private bar herself. There was nothing more satisfying than getting to know new people and having a chill and good time with them. They book good tours to the caves and they have free bikes for checking out the city center. They also provide great laundry service, they made my clothes soft and fresh like new. I loved this place and would definitely recommend it to other fellow backpackers. Love it!

I booked a stay for 2 nights at Nam Long Hotel in Dong Hoi. I really enjoyed my time there and was very impressed with the clean room given to me. The girls at the front desk were very nice and friendly. The hotel staff also provided me with bicycles to get around town free of charge. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Dong Hoi. - Chris
