"I've taken to stopping over in New York on a Saturday night to take in a Broadway, when traveling from Europe to the US on business. Staying at the West Side YMCA Hostel has twice now been a good experience. The Hostel is on Broadway, and a 20 minute walk, or one or two NY Metro stops, to most Broadway or Off-Broadway theaters. "

"This hotel was a joy to stay in, it has large rooms, mine had two queen beds with lots of room left. A large well equipped bathroom again with plenty of room for all your toiletries and a huge shower space. The hotel is In a very good location, a few minutes walk from Times Square and a a block from Macy's. The is an excellent staff culture and everyone was so friendly and helpful, Got some good tips from the concierge On where to dine. It was also a short walk to the airport bus terminal which saves $40 on a taxi fare. I would definitely stay here again when next in New York. "

"I stayed at the Central Park West hostel for quite some time. I was here filming a tv show for work. I went in with the knowledge that because of coronavirus the hostel was unable to keep the housekeeping staff on board. They provide fresh linens and towels But don’t expect the rooms to be that thoroughly cleaned. Nothing terrible, just obviously rushed. But what do you expect from one person? The front desk person Sam is probably the best customer service agent they have. He’s friendly and accommodating and the most helpful of the bunch. The rest of the crew is pretty silent, but not bad either. For 20-30 a night in NYC.... In a very posh area.... give me a break with all these terrible reviews. You see a good business struggling and you tear them a new one? Just heed my review and just know what to expect. Maybe bring some wipes or cleaning spray. I know the housekeeping person wouldn’t mind the help and it’s the least you can do for such an amazing rate on a private room in Manhattan. The location is amazing. Walking distance to both Central and Riverside Parks. I never spent much time in anyways."

"The hotel was great, especially as Agoda messed up my pre-paid booking !! But, upon the discovery of there not being a booking in the system, the check in staff organised a room within no time at all. The hotel was clean,, comfortable and within walking distance of Times Square and surrounds. It is also close to subway entrances if you wish to explore further. It is not cheap but that is New York for you. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again. "

"I have stayed in 2 hotels in new York within this 1 week. I prefer this best western times square compared to hotel mela. The room in best western are more modernized looking and they are a bit bigger. The lobby is much bigger with ample of sitting area and we can get free ice and water from bar. The location is best as it is just in the middle of everything. It is very convenient that we can just buy chocolates from Hershey's which is at the corner of street and later drop off in hotel. The hotel is very flexible in allowing us to deposit luggage there. We went to niagara fall the day before checking into best western and best western allow us to deposit bag for $1 per bag per day. It saved us more baggage money than bringing it on the the domestic flight which will cost us $25 per baggage. Staff service is fair. I have booked 2 rooms and one of the room is king sized bed. They didn't informed me clearly which room is the king sized bed until I probe further. My aircon remote is not working hence we need to manually off and on the aircon by digging our hand into aircon switch. Hair dryer is not good condition. It automatically does not work if the toilet is humid. But overall experience is fine . "
