Traveling to India? Find Nainital hotels

Initially I've booked the standard room: which is an option only if you want a bed and nothing else. There is no hot water, Wifi is totally unreliable when accessible, TV not working, room is cold and dark. I have been upgraded to the other building, don't know the room type. It's something else, conditions are great, I had a balcony and lake view, hot water, TV working, Wifi good. Be aware: location requiers some effort as it's up on the hill, it takes 5 minutes trekking from the main road. But this means the place is quiet and little impact from the main street traffic.

This is one of the best places of Bhimtal, which is around 15 kms from Nainital. You can visit Nainital in your cab which will be around 25 mins away. Ambience: One of the best views of Bhimtal lake from this hotel. There is lush green lawn near the rooms which gives you real solitude. The morning tea is rejuvenating in the morning sun and a really cool temperature of around 13 degrees in winter. Staff: The support staff is quite reliable and helpful. Food & Beverage: I would rate this 5/5. The local cook at the hotel has supreme knowledge of food and Culinary skills. Never thought that the food here would be so good. But eventually we had all our meals here itself. Location: The locations slightly off road and you'll have to drive your car steep way up while reaching the hotel. Overall, it's a wonderful property worth visiting for all age groups.

I reached nainital on a over crowded weekend and have to book this hotel because the hotel i booked before cancelled my booking and refuse to talk. anyways, the hotel is in bara bazaar and you can access local market, mall road, naini lake within 500 m. but the room i got was not ventilated and no proper lighting. cafe is at the top which is the best part apart from that nothing is there to stay. do not go there.

The address mentioned is mall road but you’ve to walk 2kms on a 45 degree steep hill and the hotel will not provide any assistance. Every time you wish to get back to the hotel you’ll have to shell out 200-300 bucks for getting a taxi to drop you from mall road to this hotel. Also the rooms displayed in the photos are nowhere near it. They’re just using fake room photos to lure customers. Also, they don’t have any parking, not even a two-wheeler can be parked without jamming the road. Every time you’ll have to listen to the taxi/cab driver which will come for dropping/pick up. They haven’t mentioned these things anywhere. I was ignorant enough to book it once but would never ever recommend it to anyone.

Not at all good experience. THe day we reached, there was some electric fault and due to this, there was no electricity at top floor in evening till night & in the morning. But the problem was the response of the management to resolve it. They neither got it repaired nor provided the generator facility meanwhile. When in the morning, all the guests started repetetive complaints, after three hours the owner came to check. some rooms even got no water. It was the worst stay option considering the level & way of response of Hotel management. Secondly the hotel location is at height, so going up & down for aged person could be a very big problem.

I booked hotel via agoda.. I reached there 8 am they were very generous to give me room before checkin time too and later 11 am they changed my room as i book other standard room. room was very clean and washroom was clean too only size was small( can fit 3 adults). It was a cozy bed. and only menu was short as their cook was not there. Best in area location wise too. the market is very close.

if you have difficulties walking, especially uphill, then look elsewhere... this property is located on top of a hill and very few taxis are willing to go up and down as Nainital becomes car free zone in the evening and during the day the road is busy and narrow, so walking up and down the hill is your best option.. it's about 15 min walk to the promenade, the views are beautiful and the room are beautiful and clean.. i def recommend it..

we had a wonderful stay at the hotel and more so since my son enjoyed the sports and games facilities at the common room. The room had balcony which opened to a great garden view. The complete hotel is well laid with great landscaping and plants and presents a great connect with the nature. Overall very enjoyable and wonderful stay. I would definitely stay in this hotel again on my next vacation at Nainital and definitely for a longer period.

the stay was comfortable, staff was accommodating and we found value for money. A few minor hiccup was like(a) no body was at reception at 730am, despite of us mentioned in our email of our arrival time. We had to ask for re-clean the room before we occupy the room. Also, after looking for room suggestions on another website, we requested that deluxe room to be provided at higher floor but nobody from hotel communicated to us that the deluxe rooms are not available on higher floor, so we had to update the room to superior room with extra payment.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone due to their pathetic service. Here are few things everyone would like to know. 1. Room- Rooms are big enough but lights are not proper. Vary dim light in the room. 2. TV- Tv should be according to room size but they have 24 inch LED in all the rooms that also not work because of no payment of Tata sky. I stayed 2 nights with 2 more families TV didn't work in any of the room. 3- Breakfast- This was included in my stay. But breakfast Manu was horrible. They provided buffet breakfast and menu was same on both days. There were no options - menu was like Poha, bread butter, poori bhaji, boiled eggs and tea coffee. Poha was invisible first day because they didn't prepare it due to shortage of staff. Next day we found a not-bolt in Poha which was horrible. Moreover if I want to have anything and ready to pay for that, they will not serve it because they didn't have resources. I must say horrible stay and service I ever got in this hotel. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody ever.

The hotel was difficult to access by car yet they had parking space for 4-5 cars which could best be used by very skillful drivers. Apart from that it was a normal Inn kind of a place with attentive staff and owner. It was a lost minute booking so we didn't get the booked room for one night but the net night the room was upgraded so complains. food was homely and fine, nothing to rave about but also no complaints again.

During my stay at Himalaya Hotel, we had good enjoyment in Nainital, very close to Mall Road and Boating, Bus Stand.Only at the time of receiving at 6.30 am, they management not alloted immediately room as per their previous day promise. Mobile also not picked who confirmed to give room at 6.30am. Temporary adjustment one room given upto 10 am. After that because of my force they alloted the booked Room. Otherwise everything is good, nice staff. Definately everybody can enjoy during the stay at Hotel Himalaya, Nainital.

My friend and I stayed at Ankur Plaza during our visit to Nainital. The hotel owner here went out of his way to make us comfortable here, letting us use a room when we arrived before our reservation began, helping us set up travel details, storing our belongings for us after our checkout as we explored the town, giving us hot water bottles to stay warm, even giving us chocolate on the day we left. The room and hotel were decorated interestingly and prettily, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the location was right next to many of the main attractions in Nainital. I can't speak highly enough of the service at this hotel; we felt so comfortable there!

The hotel is very conveniently located bang on Mall road overlooking the lake. The lake facing rooms are good.. but you should ensure that you get the rooms on the first and second floor only. The ground floor lake facing room view is blocked due to a house in front. The food is extremely good. However, options are limited to Indian only. Chinese / Continental is not available except some odd soup and manchurian dishes. The staff is extremely friendly and prompt.. though we faced delay in our food on the first day (it couldve been a one off incident). The downside being that there are 65 stairs to climb to reach the hotel from the mall road!! That would be taxing for all especially if you have aged members in the group!! Its truly value for money!!
