"Mysk al Mouj is an excellent hotel, very modern, clean and uptodate. Very capable and friendly staff and a very good cuisine (breakfast as well as diner - on Thursday evening an "Ocean" evening is being organized, with a big number of fresh fish to choose from. In the neigbourhood there are a number of other fine restaurants to choose from. Parking facilities are ok and for free. The 40 km from Muscat town do not bother given you have a car, otherwise taxis are not that expensive. Nex time in Muscat it's Mysk al Mouj all over again!!! From Belgium with love!!"

"I stayed here once for my holiday as an overseas Filipino worker here in Muscat, Oman and the hotel was so clean and very convenient to shops and malls. They offered an American breakfast which was fulfilling as a Filipino guest. The WIFI was great quick enough for 3 devices without feeling any slowdown. They have a great gym and pool. The staff were very friendly especially to Loreville and Jenny from Philippines. Overall, I am impressed and highly recommend the Royal Tulip Hotel. I'll definitely stay again during holidays."

Essential Tips for Traveling in Muscat

Traveling in Muscat can be a delightful experience, but being aware of local customs and practicalities can enhance your visit. Understanding cultural etiquette is vital; Omanis are known for their hospitality, and greeting locals with a smile and a friendly "salam" (hello) goes a long way. Public displays of affection are frowned upon, so it’s best to keep interactions respectful and discreet.

Currency exchange is another essential aspect to consider when traveling to Muscat. The official currency is the Omani Rial (OMR).
