"Tamas, the owner, was extremely helpful and nice! On the terrace, we watched perhaps the most beautiful sunsets from all our trips in French Polynesia and afterwards, the sky full of stars. Feeling at ease and enjoying wonderful nature and the company of other nice people staying at the hotel! I would recommend to have a car though, although anywhere in Moorea it would be highly recommended, at least for part of the time. There were bikes provided to go to a supermarket or so though."

"We stayed at Kaveka several nights and were really happy with our decision to spend most of the time in Moorea at this place. The price is quite ok for French Polynesia and the bungalow was nicely decorated in polynesian style. Rooms were quite modern and clean. Staff was very helpful and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere as there were not many guests around. We would definitely return to this place again in the future. It is possible to walk within 10-15 minutes to MAhareepa, where there are small shops, souvenir shops, restaurants, banks and a post office."

"I loved my stay here. The owners were so friendly and I think it's the coolest looking guest house. I'm not a resort kind of person. If you are resort style, there are plenty on Moorea, but as I am not, I'm glad I came across this little spot. Dinner is available, should you want to stay in and the food is decent. I'll go back the next time I visit Moorea. "

"If you can't afford an over water bungalow on Moorea, then this place will suffice if you don't mind simplicity. We wished we had booked more than two nights as we could just sit and look at the lagoon. The lagoon isn't great here so you'll need transportation to get around, taxis cost a fortune. The restaurant isn't great - but that's all over French Polynesia, unless you want to spend a lot of money."

"We stayed at Pearl Resort and Spa for 6 nights. Were were in a family room, duplex type. Plenty of space. Rooms were cleaned daily, althought at random times. Apart from CNN there were no English channels available so not alot of tv watching at night. Room was airconditioned and sometime we had to keep it on during the night. It occasionally made loud noises but no big deal. Beds were pretty comfortable. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Pool is the largest on the island and is child-friendly. Beach was cleaned all the time and the water was crystal clear. Lots of different fish can be seen by the bungalows so if you are into snorkeling you will enjoy it. Apart from breakfast we didnt eat the the restaurant. Prices were pretty high compared to some other vacation spots but it is French Polynesia. Maharepa is only few minutes walk from the resort and you can get some groceries from the local mini market. There is a great, cheap restaurant across the road from the resort. Many locals eat there. Not opened on Tuesdays and Wednesdays unfortunately. Room service was good and food prepared very quickly. The only minor thing thats lacking is some form of entertainment in the evening. Apart from Tahitian show there is no alot happening. Excursion to Lagoonarium was the highlight of our holiday. It is a must do. You can have it arranged by a lovely Japanese lady at the hotel in the main lobby. Overall a fabulous holiday. We would recommend it and would definitely return to Moorea Pearl Resort and Spa. "
