"I was here with my girl friend for just one night and had a wonderful time. It was a bit difficult to get a taxi to the hotel from the train station, however we enjoyed a nice walk. The staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly. My only complaint is the rooftop closing at 8pm. "

"My partner and I really wanted to base ourselves in Menton for 2 nights so that we could have some time to explore the nearby villages as well as Monaco. Unfortunately we had left things a little late and we had a lot of trouble securing a decently priced hotel. At first we were a bit concerned by the images of the place as I generally like clean and modern hotels with contemporary bed sheeting. Yes the place is not your shiny new hotel, however it is a humble and clean accommodation which provides a quiet place to sleep, shower and rest after your long day's walk. The shower was not modern (shower curtain style and easily wets the bathroom floor) - I cannot comment on the cleanliness as I do not remember this factor. One of the best things about the hotel is that we had a friend suddenly meet up with us on our trip. The staff did not speak English but understood our last minute request and happily added in a fold out bed in the room for us. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if money was an issue. The hotel is quaint in it's own ways. PS: If in Menton I cannot recommend more highly the local buses that take you everywhere you need to go for 1 Euro. There is not much information online to be found regarding bus times - Visit the info center on arrival and get all the info you need. Give yourself enough time because you would generally only be able to visit one village per day. St Agnes is spectacular."

"The hotel was good, very helpful and friendly staff. I didn't check properly the location and was planning to go by train along the coast each day for business, this wasn't so easy as the hotel is about 3km away from the station on roads not suitable for walking... as I said this was entirely my fault and nothing a few taxi rides didn't overcome! If traveling with a car the place would be fine."
