Melbourne hotels & accommodations
Those staffs are very professional and helpful before we step into the hotel. They responded to our inquiry very fast and able to provide us with all the services. The hotel location is good, just next to the DFO, which you can easily find a good outlet and shopping. It's not very far away from the town, but you have to expect a little bit walking distance. It's a ver...
I'd read quite a few reviews before heading to Melbourne and was a little apprehensive about what I'd find at 'Arrow'. Now, having returned home I'm puzzled as to what the negative comments were all about! While the foyer could do with an upgrade, the location is ideal for looking around Melbourne (a 5 minute walk to Lygon Street, a 12 minute walk to Queen Vic Markets...
This was our second stay in this hotel. We were given early access to our room which was much appreciated. We had a standard queen room which was very adequate. The central location is excellent with public transport at the door. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and all aspects of our time there were good. This hotel ticks all the right boxes a...
Although the Pegasus Apartment hotel is very new, it is well organized and everything worked. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. There's no hotel restaurant but there are many restaurants and cafes a short walk away and one is spoiled for choice. Of course you can self cater but we preferred to go out. The room was very clean and a good size. We h...
When staying in Melbourne, hotels are quite cheap anyways but this is so close to the casino and affordable. Great Hotel
This hotel/ hostel hybrid is a true vision of what every hostel/ hotel should be. I felt the right amount of separation and privacy from the typical hostel scene, but with all the social benefits from both the rooftop with hot tub, sun loungers and beautiful views of CBD and North Melbourne. Hotel Guest have access to Kitchen and also the very social bar downstairs. ...
Our apartment was lovely - great views and room for us and two kids. Located near the free tram loop and walking distance to great coffee/breakfast (Flinders Lane) and not too far from good restaurant choices (Hardware Lane). Truly reasonable price for what it gave us. Booked our car into carpark provided by apartments (very reasonable at $20 per day) - just had to ...
Pros - Beautiful / clean apartment, good location as it is near to shops / trams / Melbourne Central Station / restaurants and supermarket, the Staff at Level 3 is helpful in allowing us to keep our luggage after check out, washing machine. Cons - Pots and pans need change due to wear and tear, there is no dryer for clothing after washing and no place to dry your clo...
I chose to stay at Brady Hotels because they're the best option between the price and the hotel star at that time. I never went to this hotel before, so I didn't know what to expect from my stay there. After staying there, I can say that it's definitely a pleasant experience. The room, although small, was very comfortable. My room was located on 9th floor and the view,...
The floor to ceiling glass windows and balcony from the lounge and main bedroom provide an amazing view of the harbour. The rooms are spacious and very modern. The second bedroom has its own study area and ensuite. The kitchen has a dishwasher and everything else you need for cooking and eating. There is a lounge area as well as dining table. The hotel is located ri...
We stayed here for Christmas, and we couldn’t ask for a better place to celebrate this occassion at. The room had everything I would ask for - kitchen, balcony and a very spacious living area. Will definetely recommend this place! Of all hotels in Melbourne (in Service Apartment range) that I have stayed in, this one is my favorite!
To begin with the Staff in Melbourne 1 Bldg. on Lonsdale was very accomodating and friendly especially the Front Desk Staff named Chris. Ibrahim of Melbourne One Front Desk was very accommodating as well. The place was clean, elevators were fast & we felt at home. There was just the noise from the construction area during our stay but all was good. The location is wi...
This hotel is one of the best hotel in Melbourne in my opinion. Its bed is amazing soft and comfortable. The location in southbank is very covenient to access to public transport and fine dinings. The breakfast is tasty. Highly recommended and will come again.
We always like to book hotels close to public transport to enable us to get about with great ease. Whilst not our favourite Melbourne Hotel, Best Western Atlantis ticks all the boxes for us in terms of being close to the Airport shuttle, free city loop tram (corner of spencer street and la trobe) that will loop around to the majority of the tourist attractions in Melbo...
Lovely apartment at a great location near Queen Victoria Market and Melbourne Central Station. The interior of the building and the apartment is superb. Anna and Winnie was very helpful and check in was a breeze! The necessities provided was clean and good, not those typical cheap brandless shampoo/body wash. Really enjoyed my stay there, will definitely stay there aga...
Excellent. I travel to Melbourne for work quite often and I've stayed at the Olsen twice before. It is definitely my favourite Hotel in Melbourne, perhaps Australia. It's right in the middle of Chapel St - an easy walk to shops and bars, the beds are incredibly comfy and the place feels really homely, yet chic and modern.
Our stay at the Crown Metropol Hotel in Melbourne was very enjoyable. We found that it catered for a range of age groups allowing choices of how to spend time within the hotel. We found the staff at the hotel to be very friendly and helpfull. We dined at three restaurants, all serving very delicious meals. We would recommend the hotel to our friends for a short stay w...
No complaints about the room - we booked one of the cheaper ones on the first floor. Simple but clean. Internet is quite expensive though - we paid for 5 days for 2 devices, and that was with some negotiating. Seems to be the case in most hotels in Melbourne, though. Other than that it was quiet and in a good location near Southern Cross Station. Would return.
We spent a long weekend in Melbourne. Had no issues with our apartment. Check in was fast & efficient, and we were shown to our apartment. It was clean and nicely presented. We were out a lot and did not use the pool or other facilities. Winston apartments are in a great location and we made good use of the trams both out front and 1 block away depending on our des...
The Harbour View Apartment is centrally located to nearby Melbourne attractions like Harbour Town, Etihad Stadium, Queen Victoria Market, Crown Casino Complex, etc. There are three tram stations right beside and in front of the apartment hotel which make transport extremely convenient to reach other attractions like Melbourne Museum, Parliament Garden, Royal Botanic Ga...
This is my third time staying in a serviced apartment in Melbourne and I would say that Milano Serviced Apartments is the best so far. I am a clean freak in terms of bathroom cleanliness and I was rather surprised that the bathrooms of Milano were sparkling clean and the corners in the bathrooms were not infested with filth or algae growth. I checked myself into a 2-...
Really good location. are in the heart of Melbourne. shopping mall are very easy to reach. 2 mins walk straight to Chinatown. so many nice food you can try. and to walk to city just cross the road. tram are next to hotel . very easy to go anywhere. best location hotel in Melbourne.
Found the Collins Hotel Apartment very ideally located right in the heart of downtown Melbourne. Found most of the reception staff very helpful, especially the lady receptionist Momo who was most helpful ! The apartment is so near to all eateries, shops, banks, theatres, trams, trains at Flinders Street Station, and Queen Victoria Market. We came on the first week of...
The room was okay and clean. My room was with city view but not so nice. But we had wonderful view and moments at club lounge. Located at the centre of melbourne city (crowded area). Many shops nearby. Can easily walk from hotel in melbourne city. They will charge you the deposit through your card upon the arrival. And will refund back takes 3-5days after check out. I ...
from the moment we reach our hotel in melbourne, we're already loving it, coz its directly at the city center, and within walking distances to chinatown, where the food and everything are fabulous in melbourne. i will definitely suggest this hotel whenever family or friends are visiting melbourne. and of course whenever i happen to visit melbourne again, which is rea...
Cheap places to stay in Melbourne
This was probably one of the BEST hostels that I have stayed at. The location was perfect to center of Melbourne, close to the tram, & across from the station. From Skybus location, I was driven to the hostel for free. The staff members were kind & extremely helpful. The place was clean too! I stayed in room 106. The doors slam shut....LOUD. I slept by the door, so I ...
base is an amazing place to stay in melbourne, the nicest staff and a great atmosphere. clean rooms, big kitchen, a great look, bright. it is a party hostel but if you get a lush private room you'll still get plenty of sleep. things todo every day afl games, free trips to the cheap market, foot ball, secret walks of melbourne and the all end with a free drink when b...
Originally booked for only 3 nights, ended up staying for over 3 weeks. Great location and very friendly staff made my stay very enjoyable. I would recommend it to every backpacker. The place is full of travellers from all over the world mostly staying in Melbourne for longer while working. There is common kitchen with a big fridge so you can cook your own meals. When ...
I am very happy in discovery Melbourne, I think it is the best location with similar price compared with other backpackers. The staff is highly trained and professional, very friendly, and service is very good I think. They have free breakfast. The location is very convenient for shoping, it is 10 minutes walking to Woolworth and Melbourne Central station, library, an...
Pros- 4min walk with bags from Melbourne Central station Located on the main road (Elizabeth St.) close to restaurants, 24x7 fast food, convenience stores, bus stops Multiple types of rooms and options for solo or group travelers Courteous and extremely helpful staff Cons- Bathroom and toilet cleanliness was a bit of a problem on some days considering they are shared ...
I was lucky there because nice weather while I was staying as there is just unpredictable climent and staffs had done professional , fast contacting and clearly explanation about information. The kitchen also was clean and there are clean shelfs and fridge for putting your own foods as you just need to write your name tag on. I'd love to come to stay again if I have a ...
I was soo happy to stay in this hotel, I met some reallly nice friends in the female dorm, the staff’s soo friendly, he guided me to the room and helped me to take down my big n heavy suitcase,, reallly appreciate that. On top of that, I had yummy pancakes for breakfast, it’s free for guests. Thank u!

I am a college student running up and down to Melbourne for my class every month; where I chose to stay at Nate Place Backpacker because it is good location, just 15mins walk from Melbourne main station. Easy Check in - lovely people. Great facilities for people to hang out and meet, networking etc. I booked the private room, which are located a bit further away with a bathroom which is shared by only 3 rooms. I would recommend that if that lies into your budget. Easy to get around, good location if you have a car, didnt see many restaurants or bars close by though....
nomads melbourne hotel located next to queen victoria market. within walking distance can easily access to city circle tram which connecting major public transport at melbourne and it is very convenience. from the airport we can easily access to the city with city-airport express, nomads hotel is an ideal from the first time and budgeted traveler to melbourne. value ...
GREAT Place ... GREAT Location ... GREAT Value in centre of Melbourne CBD !!! My first stay at this venue. So convenient to city centre and transport hubs AND Melbourne's famous food outlets and attractions. GREAT staff and facilities [especially the amazing kitchen on the 9th floor] plus the great ROOF WALK [10th floor] outdoor area under the stars. The only possible ...
we loved the claremont guest house. it is a little out of melbourne centre in the very nice neighbourhood of south yarra. connections back into the centre by train were frequent and fast and the hotel is only a 2 minute walk from the station. this is more of a hostel than a hotel, but given the expensive prices of hostels generally in australia we felt this one was ver...
U should pay attention on their hostel name, it is Australia YHA in the street, not Melbourne Central YHA. It took me 15 mins to find it ,anyway,I think it is worthy if u don’t want to pay a lot on hotel, living here can help u save money.
Has to be seen to be believed
Very corteous staff. Spacious kitchen with all facilities. Very clean. Flexible. Thank you Lily for your great service.
Great room with everything we needed. Perfect location to stop off if you're driving from Sydney to Melbourne. Clean rooms, plenty of parking, friendly staff and a nice little town. Highly recommend.
This is the best budget hotel you can ever find in Melbourne.. While most hotels do not provide free wifi, this one does.. and its a strong one.. Strong enough that I could even watch my favourite dramas and variety shows and made me feel at home! I love how they have decorated the room nicely and made everything lovely.. After a whole tiring day of tour in the city, y...
Whatever you are looking for! Good rooms, kitchen, friendly staff, location, transport. This hotel has it all. I had a horrible experience with another hotel which I have not...
The manager at Little St Kilda was exceptionally friendly and professional and on hand tirelessly to assist in whatever i needed to make my stay comfortable. Great value for money. Very clean and quiet. Fantastic location for Melbourne visitors and staff are super friendly. It has every thing a traveller requires.
We are a couple traveller and stayed here initially for a night. We liked it and stayed for another two nights. Our review: Location: 5 Stars 5 stars for location as it is near where we wanted to go: 10 minutes drive to Dandenong Market, Dandenong Malls and The Glen shopping mall (A large upscale mall at Glen Waverly). It is also within a manageable 45 minutes drive t...
I had stayed in various budget hotels in Melbourne CBD and certainly Ibis Budget Melbourne CBD offers rooms that is probably no more than what is expected for the price range. However the staff are extremely polite and happy to help which is more than a cut above the rest and a pleasant surprise given past experiences in 5 Melbourne hotels in 6months. I know where I a...

Love our stay there. We've got 3 beds which is usual for Australia. Spacious room and new facility. Great value for the price I've paid for a hotel in Melbourne.
i had to go melbourne last minute so i wanted to find a cheap hotel. for dollars i booked this hotel. it was better than what i expected because looking at other hotels at the same price i was concerned the quality wasn't going to be great and i'm picky when it comes to hotel standards. staff was pleasant and very on top about security. but i could see if you invited p...
This hotel is in a great location in Melbourne. Close to Southbank and a short walk to the city via Flinders Station. Brand new but had a few issues. Bathrooms very small as were the bedrooms. Oaks On Market Hotel is strategically located in Melbourne. It is so near to busy shopping areas like Chinatown. Within walking distance, there is a free inter-city tram stop nearby. Great hotel for those who value arts, tranquille and green environment, cleanliness, and also the location. I actually booked this stay for friends who were required to stay overnight in Melbourne. not being frequent travellers they were very impressed with the rooms and the location. they informed me that the standout was the staff and their service given, always friendly, always helpful and always smiling. the only issue, and it was barely that was a bit of confusion in fi...
This is my second visit to Melbourne. The location is within CBD, facilities and restaurants are just around the corner. WIFI is excellent. Helpful staffs. Very convenient.
We have stayed in a few hotels in melbourne and Aria is our favourite so far. Friendly and helpful staff, very clean apartment, great location and everything we needed and more.
Out of the 3 hotels I've stayed at in Melbourne so far, the Causeway 353 is my favourite. Hidden away on Little Collins Street, it's at the heart of everything Melbourne - laneways, Bourke Street Mall, the Block Arcade, forty bajillion cafes and bars. The free breakfast every morning was perfectly adequate to start the day with and ran for an appropriate amount of time...
Paramount Serviced Apartments , was certainly a surprise for our weekend in Melbourne , we arrived very early in the morning so check-in was not ready ,which we knew , we had arrange to have the bags stored until the check in time , the staff where ready with our message received earlier via email , bags locked up , and away into Melbourne until we come back at...
Great location close to Melbourne Marina , Docklands shopping centre ,Melbourne star and trams. My wife and I have stayed in many Melbourne Hotels and we were pleasantly surprised by Fraser Place! We booked this hotel as it was better priced than the other hotels we normally stay in. This is the second time I have stayed at Best Western Melbourne Airport Motel and Convention Centre. It is a hassle free place to sleep when transiting at Melbourne Airport. Prior to arrival, we didn’t know that it’s very near eateries with asian food! it was awesome because we had cravings for rice, noodles and soup. For our group’s entire trip, we had the most comfortable stay at the Chen’s because the toilet was spacious, even have a sink at the room area with small kitchenette! Very thoughtful. Room for improvement - Just the kettle wa...
I arrived quite late in the evening and staff on the desk were friendly and prompt. The room was on the 11th floor an while not the best view (it looks straight into the office building next door) it was quiet, had great block out curtains and makes good use of natural light during the day. The bed was comfortable, and room also included a minibar , kettle, tea and co...
We love the location as it was right between Melbourne CBD and to the sights in Dandenong ranges or to Philip Island which fitted well in our travel itinerary. Only complaint is its the only place I ever stayed in aus where they d...
OaksOnCollins is one the best hotel I have stayed in a while.
We were traveling with 2 older children on our holiday to Melbourne, Auckland and Sydney. In these 3 cities where we stayed at 3 different hotels, Crown Towers Hotel is the one we remember fondly. The children enjoyed the hotel so much that they were reluctant to leave. I actually had stayed in this hotel once (12 years ago), but the hotel does not feel old at all. ...
Location: smack bang in the middle of Melbourne CBD. The location of this hotel is so convenient for shopping, dining, sight seeing, the works. From the Swanston it was a 15 minute walk to Victoria Markets in one direction, and a 15 minute walk to Flinders St. Station in the other. China Town was literally up the road, and there is an abundance of places to shop and di...
i would recommend the cullen,it is the trendiest hotel in melbourne. great location and it has the hutong dumpling bar attached to it.this serves excellent chinese food. the lobby to the hotel is very quirky,i loved the giant glittery cow! the rooms are filled with art, books and magazines. a great place to stay for shopping.
Perfectly located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, next to Pho 24 restaurant, just across to Spencer Outlet and Southern Cross Station. I love the experience during my stay. The apartment was spacious, clean, well kept, and equipped with amenities. Will definitely consider to book it again when i visit Melbourne.
I live in greater Melbourne but stay here when I have a company function or early trip to the airport, as I live a ways out of the city. I've always been welcomed back and even given a complimentary drink card. I always seem to be rushing when I stay here but can honestly say it's one of the best places to stay in Melbourne!
One of the most luxurious Melbourne hotels with excellent choice of views. Well appointed with electronic lighting control, and included pod style coffee facility. Excellent service from parking to checking in. Romantic restaurant within building. Plenty of lifts for fast access to room. Highly recommended for visitors to Melbourne with many Landmarks visible from r...
These are just the best beds in any hotel I have stayed in & the bedding is divine too. I have stayed at Sofitel, Grand Hyatt, Park Hyatt, the Sheraton, the Windsor, the Lindrum & a few others in Melbourne and these beds win hands down.
Quaywest is one of the hotel in melbourne that i love to stay. This hotel is very well maintain and the rooms are looking great (look much more well maintain and newer than most hotels in melbourne). Most other hotels in melbourne are looking old inside the rooms even the 5stars hotels
Brilliant 5 star hotel in Melbourne,. New and modern really enjoyed our quick city stay. Would definitely return
friendly accommodation staff make you feel welcome. Bar is fantastic. Experienced Vue de Monde restaurant within the Rialto which is incredible. We recommend to at least head to the Lui bar for a beverage and great view if you can! Hotel bar is lovely too. Comfortable room, great air conditioning (Melbourne hotels can be sticky and hot), fabulous location. Best hot...
Great location and staff always 1st Class no matter who you talk to. I've made this my hotel in Melbourne for work and would recommend if you have business in the city.
have stayed in may hotels in melbourne but this rates as one of the best... being located on the edge of the fitzroy gardebs and at the back of the mcg the location is fantastic..tram stop out the front... restaurants and cafes near by.. jolimont train station across the street..perfect...additionally the agoda price was very reasonable so i was very happy to stay at t...
My flight has landed in Melbourne very early in the morning so I was hoping that an early check in will be possible. The staff did their best and within an hour my room was available. Staff is very friendly, helpful and professional, helped me find my way around the area, advised on sightseeing tips as well as booked a tour. Spacious clean room. Great location in nice ...
We stayed in the hotel for one night only. Lovely building and quiet location. The Room facilities and interiors, and the restaurant staff and food, were definitely not up to 5* compared with others in Melbourne and internationally. I have paid similar to stay at Crown. I would stay here for a night again but only with a reduced tariff. Desk staff were very good.
Having stayed in many hotels in Melbourne this one was a welcome relief to some of the characterless chains. Friendly staff, beautifully kept rooms and within walking distance of most of the attractions. The building has a very interesting history also.
Quest always have high standards for cleanliness and what not. However my rating is poor for this experience due to the following; The accommodation was booked by myself on for my wedding band who travelled from Adelaide I contacted quest 2 weeks prior to advise the name of the person who would check in. I was reassured that there would be no problems Upon check in (...
Como Melbourne Hotel was a nice surprise for me, the location is perfect for shopping, restaurants and easy way to move around. The room was ideal size with large bathroom. The view on japaneese garden style was cute. Staff was very kind from receptionist to houskeepers. I appreciate very much the espresso coffe offered at my arrival.
381 is close to public transport (tram & train) & MCG (our main reason for being in Melb) but a bit of a walk from Melbourne City. Coles Express is conveniently located on the corner. It was a nice touch to have a coffee machine in the room but shortage of milk was an issue. We didn't want to buy a litre of milk for 2 cups of coffee. No instant coffee in the room apart...
There is a mini market just at the ground floor. Must try the swimming pool at level 52. Friendly and helpful staffs, perfect view at level 50, great location, just a block behind the crown casino. We supposed to check out at 10 a.m. but the owner allows me to check out at 1 pm. Thank you so much. Definitely will stay back to this apartment is I travel back to Melbour...
We enjoyed our stay at Peppers Docklands Staff is friendly and beds were comfortable. Restaurant is nice and so is food. Once our room was not cleant properly but after speaking to staff, it was resolved immediately. We were offered late check out and staff at Reception and Restaurant were really friendly. Did I mention the best part? The view from hotel room, yes! we...

Great city for travelers, to live, multi cultural society, easy access and excellent food and option for stay
I was born there so what can I say! I moved 160km away for my work 50 years ago, but still enjoy visiting my State capital regularly.
Great ocean road and Philips island was fantastic. I book with Bunyip tours and their services was very satisfying.
Melbourne is a smaller vision of San Francisco mixture of culture and people great sea view and people
Awesome city to stay in. Easy to get around, always something to do, loaded with history, places of interest & culture.
Melbourne got alot of nice foods to explore especially truffles fries and pull burger. The asian foods are over-rated.
Expensive by Asian standards, Melbourne has a vast array of dining experiences, a nice casino if that's your thing (albeit with only one craps table), well organised zoos and nature experiences such as Healesville Sanctuary and the pick of them all: the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island (my opinion).
Great city with lots of fun. Enjoyed the great ocean road, phillips island, Ballarat gold mines and puffying billy.
Visit great ocean road and doing other outdoor activities during summer hot day with bright sunshine is always advised to apply sunblock cream.
Melbourne is an exciting city. The excellent public transport including the extensive tram network make it an easy city to explore.
Melbourne is a vibrant city, it has a great nightlife with something for everyone. It also has the best sporting arena's with the best of sports from Cricket to Aussie Rules to Rugby to Tennis.
Melbourne is a beautiful cosmopolitan city just that you are required to pay toll using the freeway regardless of it being weekends or holidays.
Melbourne is deservingly rated 'The Most Liveable City in The World.' It is a credit to it's city planning forbearers and the current day City of Melbourne City Council.
It was definitely a great way to understand Melbourne and some hidden and interesting café, famous buildings and the stories behind, and the CULTURE here! I’m so happy to have such an in-depth trip to the city.
culture and history is definitely Melbourne. The place is packed with histroical and great architecture.
Disliked the staff at the airport. Super slow check in at Qantas. Took us 20 minutes to get checked in.
Very cosmopolitan Easy to get around IF [and it is a BIG IF] you can master the public transport system Lots of parks - clean & green Excellent nature attractions within days drive
I thought it was much busier than I had anticipated, many more high rise buildings than expected, I possibly didn't some of the things some people seem to have been impressed by.
queen victoria market,philip aisland,great ocean road,royale botanic garden,brighton beach,state library of victoria,dfo
2 main attractions - CBD for a city type of experience (shopping, cafes, restaurants, bars/clubs and casinos) and out-of-CBD for sight-seeing (12 Apostles in Great Ocean Road, Yarra Valley for wine tasting, farm stay in dairy farms, healesville sanctuary for up-close experience with koalas/wallabies and others).
People here are friendly and polite. One peculiar thing I told my daughter that there were many graffiti everywhere you go including Govt properties like driving sign board and building and bridges.
The Melbourne I saw was old, with old buildings like the railway station and the old railway station that has been converted to a hotel but is beautiful.
Do find time to visit the 12 Apostles and take the Great Ocean Road scenic route along the coastline if you don't get too queasy in long car rides.
Melbourne is a very nice city with easyily accesable public transport. Nice food is plentiful and they are not too expensive.
Melbourne is a great city, well organised, from the minute you arrive at the airport, shuttle into the city, eating out, tours can be booked, fabulous
Once you get the hang of the street names and the free tram zone areas, you have pretty much know your way around the area.
friendly safe great food bright lights music in streets family feeling in central section good. artwork in small lanes.
Spent 8 nights in Fitzroy, just 5 minutes north of the city. Used trams and trains extensively using the easy MYKI swipe card system, cant get lost.
Negative: Smoking not restricted- so you choke eating outside - very off putting. Cigarette buds outside Victoria station downgrades the entire area and it is evident throughout the city that there isn't a smoking policy.
A great city to visit with lots to do whether business or tourist. Good transport system, though the MYKI system is a bit of a rip off for tourists as you have to purchase a card you may never use again.
