There are only 3 decent hotels in Khasab and this is the best of the lot. It also has the fanciest bar in town. View from the room was very very beautiful.
Spent one night and a full day dhow cruise with my wife and four children. Rented kayaks for use near the camp site. Great location, the whole family had a wonderful time camping and on the cruise. Have recommended to three other families so far.

You really have to go and see the mountain scenery, it really is a hot version of Norway of Oman! We saw dolphins which was a bonus.
Visit the fjords and islands, and the Mussundam road. The castles were good and the harbour interesting and very different.
A half day at the sea dhow tour and half a day in the mountain tour. One hour to visit the fortress.
Great place to spend two days; one for the dow cruise and one for a mountain track. The drive from Dubai to Khasab is a fantastic ride.
