"As a foreign tourist coming from far east, it was my huge decision to come visit Oman for my summer vaation. I stayed in Muscat for 2 nights, Salalah 2 nights (all with big name five star hotel), and 3 nights at Atana Musandam resort. Honestly speaking, among the three places, Atana Musandam resort was my best choice and I really enjoyed staying here. 1. Friendly staffs and their services - Very nice people with friendly warm heart. I really enjoyed their hospitality and services. 2. Strategic location in Khasab - Only 1 minute distance from the biggest mall in the town, Lulu hypermart, and free car service is offered whenever you want to go in Khasab. 3. The design of the resorts and structure - the resorts were built based on the traditional Khasab building, and I personally enjoyed staying there. Overall, I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family, and I'm more than willing to come back to this resort in near future. Just one little thing is that, it would have been much better if the resort asked me if I need a ride from the Khasab airport to their hotel beforehand. I had to arrange my own ways to get to the resort when I landed at the Khasab airport, and it would have been really nice if the resort asked whether I need the ride from aiport to the resort beforehand, given the fact that the resort always offer free car service. "If you're used to the 5 star bling of Middle Eastern hotels and place importance on where you stay when on holiday then this hotel is NOT for you. The Khasab Hotel is really down to earth, a little tired looking but is excellent value for money in comparison to what else is on offer in Khasab. The hotel is in the centre of Khasab and close to most sights, souk and supermarket. Yes the decor is stuck in the 80's (which I quite like!) but it is clean and the staff are so helpful. Just be sure to ask for a non smoking room as the smoking room we somehow ended up with was pretty revolting. We asked to change rooms and were given an even better room for no extra charge. The restaurant is more than acceptable. We had Indian food both nights and it was delicious. We ate breakfast on the terrace by the swimming pool. The hotel offers dhow and mountain excursions. The things that could be improved are Internet access in all rooms not just the main reception area and card payment. At the moment cash only payment is available which seems a little backward in the year 2013."

"Very pleasant. Similar to a B&B stay. The host Eldho would drive us wherever we needed and make sure we got the best value and quality food in the town (particularly with the local seafood). Rooms are in a large household in a quiet residential area close to the airport at the foot of the large iconic rock faces of Oman. If you are looking for a genuine experience if Khasab outside the Hotel grounds and are traveling on the cheaper trail, I strongly recommend staying here. Airport pickup can also be organised. And Eldho is happy to assist you in your next chapter of your travels (unlike bigger hotels whose service ends with your checkout!) My girlfriend and I are very grateful for the warm and friendly service at Al Taif and I feel it warrants a great review!"
