Ilocos Sur hotels & places to stay

Vitalis Villas is the Santorini of the North, strategically placed in Santiago cove in Ilocos Sur. Once you enter the premises, friendly staff will greet you instantly. Once you enter your villa, you will be greeted with white walls decorated with blue curtains and accents. Rooms are big and spacious. Now let me talk about the beds. Ah yes, the beds are THE BEST that we have slept so far in all of our travels within the Philippines. Not to mention the pillows too! You will surely get some good night sleep once you experience it for yourself. But the best part of all was the food! We got coupons for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unli bacon for breakfast, shoyu roast beef and potato au gratin for lunch, and chicken inasal for dinner. Whether you will go there as a couple, as a group or with your family, you will surely enjoy Vitalis Villas. We will definitely go back here!

My officemate and I stayed here while doing work in another town in Ilocos Sur. We chose the hotel for its facilities and close proximity to the bus station and Calle Crisologo. It's also very near the Vigan Cathedral and town center as well as the national highway. Rooms are clean and staff members are friendly, always ready to assist house guests. One area for improvement is their breakfast buffet. Variety of food offering is fine but the food quality could be improved. I've had better Vigan longganisa elsewhere. It's good that there are alternative places to eat near the hotel. Overall, I will most likely stay here again should I find myself going to Vigan in the future. (And go just around the corner to Grandpa's Inn for excellent bagnet and Vigan longganisa.)

We stayed in Vitalis White Sands to make most of the beach experience in Ilocos Sur, Santiago Cove. We initially stayed in Vitalis Villas. Then we moved to Vitalis Whites Sands the following day. We stayed in the Deluxe Room North Wing. The room is clean and is acceptable. The bathroom is however small and compact. The toilet is faced against a wall. I am 5’9.5” and my head touches the wall in front if I sit on the toilet. So any person that will be taller than me may have some issue with the toilet. The shower area is not fully enclosed that will cause some water from the shower to wet the other floors in the bathroom. So it will be hard to keep the bathroom floor clean all the time. There is a small swimming pool in the hotel which you can do short laps. The pool water is clean but not very clear and somehow tastes different. Anyway, I did not have any issues with my stomach later on. There are many activities that can be booked with the hotel. They are sharing resources anyway with Vitalis Villas. However, during our stay, the inflatable play area on the beach was not available. All in all, the hotel is okay and acceptable for your stay in Santiago Cove.

Yes, I would recommend Ciudad Fernandina to my friends and family. Location: It is a block away from Calle Crisologo which is the primary reason you would go to Vigan. Though there are several other sites in Vigan and Ilocos in general, Calle Crisology is where the heritage site is located. Rooms: I only planned to get the standard room - 1x single bed. But my son suddenly decided to bunk with me instead of another site he was set up for. it was tight but enough for 2 single bed perpendicular to each other. Seeing the other rooms I would say that it is pretty modern in design with a small TV. Then again, why would you watch TV while in Vigan. Exterior: The exterior is pretty. Great for pictures at night and during the day. Even the hallways and specifically the grand staircase reminds me of old houses that leads to the main receiving room. Staff: The staff are friendly, efficient and accommodating. I needed to have an early breakfast since the games had to start earlier that day. They cooked an early breakfast for me and my son to go at around 30mins earlier than opening time. Thank you for that! Agoda reservations: I did my reservation about a month and a half in advanced. But asked several questions along the way. Aimee responded promptly to my queries. The day before I was headed there, I confirmed that my son will join me and I would need to extend another day. This was immediately sent to the front desk and accommodated. No issues experienced. Though it would have been great to have extended the special rate that I got a month ago. :) All in all, it was a great experience. Thank you to the staff of Ciudad Fernandina.

I highly recommend hotel luna/hotel luna annex if you were to visit Vigan. It's a perfect stay for everyone! heres why?STAFF were so friendly and accommodating VERY GOOD LOCATION is very convenient for tourist spots and Calle Crisologo is just a 3mins walk from the hotel(just a block away) AMENITIES are always available (kalesa, van, pools, bar etc) AZOTEA is a perfect time to chit chat with family & friend enjoying fresh air and drinks. ROOMS including modern BATHROOMS were all very clean (we occupy 4rooms) with strong wifi connection, comfortable bed and pillows. I'd say if i'll visit ILOCOS NORTE in the future i will book at Hotel Luna again. We had an excellent vacation during our stay and we're happy with their service. Minor concerns only on the wood floor on room 223 that need to be fix but overall stay was excellent! Thank you Hotel Luna Staff! See you next time!

We booked the family room for 6 pax, it was at the second floor, the stairs was really steep but has handle, the flooring was slippery. The 2 aircon was a little hot cause the room was big and had high ceilings so we requested for electric fans. But the room was already cool in the evening. Don't expect to much.. Its pretty basic. Just a place to stay for resting.. Bed was good enough.. It was right smack in calle crisologo. Lots of stores and restos below and the best part was the small grocery store at the corner, it had everything ice water soda chips soap etc.. We had a great stay in this hotel. Cons: the staff didn't know local stuff scheds.. like mass schedule and attraction stuff schedule..

We could have stayed longer We originally booked a Deluxe Triple room for an overnjght stay during sembreak. However, typhoon Rosita happened so we requested to rebook our stay. We came from a long drive from Pagudpud and were really tired. We arrived at Paradores almost dinner time. The reception was very warm. They served welcome drinks. We requested for a second floor room but the elevator was not working so they put us ina ground floor room instead. Fine with us because we were so exhausted, we knew we no longer had the energy to climb stairs. The real surprise was the room. It was BIG! It had a couch, its own kitchen complete with Corelle dinnerware, Whirlpool microwave, Electrolux two-door fridge, big enough to store your perishable pasalubongs. Very neat and tidy space. The bathroom had complete amenities. The room was cool with two split type airconditioning. It's like a real condo unit. Breakfast was plated and served in the room. Courteous and friendly staff, comfy bed with lots of pillows. Walking distance to Calle Crisologo. I am so glad I chose this one over the other old hotel in Calle Crisologo. We loved our stay. Too bad, we arrived late and had to check out early the next morning. If only they had their own pool, it would have been a blast! Highly-recommended when in Vigan. We will stay here again if ever we come back. Thanks for the great stay!

This is in Caoayan Ilocos Sur, a 10-15 minutes drive from Vigan City, that means it is recommended if you have private vehicle or if you dont mind riding motorcycle that far. NSCC Plaza Hotel is an old building transform into a hotel?, 1st floor is a commercial store, 2nd floor is the accommodation/hotel (with 10 rooms or so) & 3rd floor is a function hall. During our 3nights stay, they got events. It is also infront of Coaoyan public market. They have basic toiletries like the once you buy at the sari-sari store, no refill or will not provide more on the next day(s) stay unless you will request.(really)TOP SHEETs AS YOUR BLANKET??!!! Will NOT clean room if not requested too. Anything you need is upon request like iron or hair dryer. Feels like you are in your great grandmas house because of the wood / old (antique) furnishings. The whole experience for me feels like a B&B accomodation & not a hotel minus the swimming pool (which we never got to use anyway). Staff are not that polite.

The front desk doesn't have a list of the guests for that day so we had a slight delay during check-in. They have to verify it with the owner first before we were allowed to check-in. The staff said in Ilocano while talking with the boss, that I did not call before hand, but I don't think I needed to call because Agoda already confirmed my booking. Anyway, the hotel was super nice. It was modern and clean. It also has a convenience store downstairs which is a big plus.

I think this hotel should be rated as three stars. If you're a traveler like me, who enjoys rustic and local foods that would match the ambience, this is the type of hotel you're looking for. The best yet I have stayed in Vigan City! You get to feel how it was like back in the days! The once was conquered by Spanish, colonial time, was kept for the purpose of tourism. I highly recommend this hotel!

This is a cozy place to stay at Vigan. Facilities and food are great. Rooms are big enough, lines are clean and toiletries are complete. Breakfast buffet selection is good and taste good. Everything is great except that they don’t have a swimming pool or recreation area in case you choose not to go out of the hotel and parking space is quite limited in front of the hotel. Though these are not really deal breakers as there are lots of places to go to in Ilocos but it’s still nice to have a pool at least. :) Definitely good value for money and would definitely book again here for our future stay in Ilocos.

Amazing hotel! We stayed just one night here during a little tour of the ilocos region and this was by far the best hotel. The room looked superb, the ceiling was so high and it had 2 double 4 poster beds. All the furniture looked and felt authentic and there was so much of it, I wouldn't have been able to fill it all if I brought along 10 times as much stuff. The bathroom was great to with all the usual high quality extra you'd expect. The location was so good, right on the end of the famous street in vigan. The area was quiet but close to everything so the best of both worlds. The staff were great, I wanted some room service but it had just stop so they gave me a complimentary ride to the 7/11 down the road. When we checked out we could leave our bags there and do a bit more roaming and then the gave us another complimentary ride to the bus station even though we had checked out and were in theory no longer guests at the hotel. Had such an amazing stay and the Price was good, more than other hotels but really worth it.

We did love our stay here. We feel safe since their front desk is 24-hrs. The place is spacious and our room which is located at the ground floor is neat and in order. Our sleep was very comfortable. Common CR is neat too and they provide you with toiletries such as disposable toothbrush, shampoo conditioner and soap. We didn't expect much since we booked it very cheap in Agoda its like around 704/night! The place is walking distance to Calle Crisologo. For first timers like us it is a bit far. So if you are in a hurry you may ride a trike to Calle or anywhere else for 15 pesos per person. Though the staff assured us that walking from their place to the Calle Crisologo and vice versa is safe, we advise not to walk when it is late at night for safety purpose cos the road is quite dark and there are vehicles passing by plus you have to cross a bridge which is quite scary esp at night haha just a thought. We advise you to ride a tricycle when planning to go out in the middle of the night 😊 Over-all our stay is 10/10 Thank you and will definitely book again once i go back to Vigan

Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. Having been in customer service and hospitality industry have to make a few constructive suggestions to make this the more popular hotel it should be. The food while presented clean was severely lacking in any variety. Quite a few dishes on the menu were not available.The American breakfast very disappointing,bread not toasted, ham not cooked, no bacon..mushrooms or tomatoes. Easily overcome with Western experienced chef. Staff doing their best, very courteous. Would come back but mostly eat outside.... great dinning room and nice atmosphere. Get some good food in & you will get heaps more customers. Thank you for a lovely stay

The Cordillera Inn staff is the best group of people we encountered in our Ilocos region tour. The hotel itself is right smack in the Heritage Village. So expect to wake up to a very beautiful setting. Everything is almost walking distance if you do not mind walking. But for others, they could ride a tricycle to reach the tourist spots. We hired a tricycle for 130 pesos to tour us to these places. We just topped the fee up because the driver was really nice. Check out the light and sound and fountain show in Plaza Salcedo. The best!

It is situated along the national highway and is readily accessible by bus going to Laoag. There is ample parking space both at the front and inside (gated) the hotel which is guarded 24/7. People here are nice and friendly such that you won't feel that you're away from home. Though lacking in variety, food in the restaurant is affordably priced and tastes good. The doors are adorned with intricate carvings from Paete depicting Filipino festivities. The place is ably run by competent managers who are friendly and approachable for any concerns that you may have which are readily attended to. I recommend this hotel and I am personally looking forward to make my own personal booking on my return visit.

We were fortunate enough to meet the owner of the hotel during our one day stay, which shows the attention the owner has on service and hospitality. When we told him that we were only intending to stay in Vigan for one day, he provided us a list of recommended sites to visit and places to eat. He went the extra mile by offering to purchase us bus tickets back to Manila at our preferred time., which we can pay when we return at the hotel after exploring Vigan. When we returned that evening, we were surprised that he even asked his staff to provide us a van service to bring us to the bus station. On top of this, the main hotel area was a historic house: it was the site where Esteban Pichay Villanueva painted the Basi Revolt Paintings, which depict one significant revolt against the Spaniards and the subsequent reactions of the Spaniards. The paintings are displayed at the National Museum complex in Vigan. Highly recommended, and will definitely stay here again in the future.

I must say, this place was one of the highlights of our Ilocos trip. The place was well managed and very neat. All the staff were friendly and helpful. At first we were worried because we thought there will be no available parking. But they helped us fast and made no hassle. And the one that I appreciate the most is that when I left my ID, they contacted me and kept it for me until my friend was able to claim it. God bless this hotel. Will surely come back :)

Staff are friendly and helpful. On the contrary, some staff said that they find difficulties with payment and booking system which eventuallly affected us guest that booked online. They said that they prefer those guests book directly or walk in. We were surprise when we check out that we have to pay these or those, which I said that we already paid it. the lady who ask us to pay was immediately corrected by her fellow staff that. I suggest that familiarity with the online booking must be held with it, though i think the hotel is newly member hotel

I booked our stay at Henady Inn for only 1,050 pesos. So I wasn't really expecting much. However, when we got to the room, it was smaller than what I had imagined based on the picture. Nevertheless, it was comfortable. During my Ilocos trip, I had accommodations in three places. It was at Henady Inn where I had the most comfortable sleep. It was cool and clean. The bathroom was also small but big enough for a person's needs. We checked-in and checked-out quite quickly. The staff were polite and accommodating to the guests. The Inn's location is not exactly in Vigan. However, one can just hail a tricycle and reach the plazas for 30pesos. I don't have any complaints about this place. If I happen to visit Vigan again, I would surely stay at Henady Inn again. ^^
