Hotel was nice and in a good location in Budapest They many restaurants around the hotel and also when you out of the airport just exchange 50euro for bus or taxi in the airport around the hotel area they is a good exchange rate for Hungary money just near around the hotel breakfast buffet was good not so boring I been stay at this hotel for 7days and 6night overall i...

In general, hotel should have at least 4 stars as the hotel room was stylish and clean, breakfast was amazing and the idea of champagne for breakfast is just so unique! The spa zone with jacuzzi and sauna is a great idea for the winter,to go to jacuzzi after a long walk around the city. The staff in this hotel, for us, has five stars! They were always friendly, willing to ...

This hotel was fabulous. The service was exceptional, the room spacious and clean, easy walk from train station, hop on hop off bus and best cafe in the world, The NY Cafe. They do not have dinner, but breakfast was one of the best we have experienced on our holiday so far, and a play area for children in the breakfast area was provided. Wished we had known about this ...

We stayed at the Prestige Hotel for 4 nights as our mini honeymoon before Christmas and I can only say what an amazing hotel it is with outstanding service. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Service – before even getting to Budapest I’d emailed the Prestige concierge a number of times to ask about and book some activities (theatre, riverboat dinner cruise a...

Could not asked for more. Staff was really helpful and booked both restaurants, spas, and taxis for us. Rooms were super modern and clean, bed was comfy and it was quiet. Location is the best, more central than this you cannot go. Best thing with Budapest is all the fantastic restaurants and easiness to get around to see all attractions. Love Budapest!!

We stayed at the Revay for 4 nights. The hotel must be one of the best locations in Budapest . Near to the centre of the city and close to many attractions and the river. Very quiet hotel . The breakfast was lovely an the staff always polite and willing to help and were very friendly.

The stay was pleasant despite the fact that the staff at the rooftop bar was relatively unfriendly and had no service-mind. The room was small but very practical and the bed was comfortable. We had a wonderful breakfast, lots of choices from tasty warm and cold selections, the staffs at the breakfast room were very thoughtful, attentive and friendly. There is a wellnes...

I have returned to this hotel several times, I love it. Great staff, good location, clean spacious rooms. Its on the Buda side but I think th`e location is pretty good with a metro and tram a few minutes walk and Budapest having a great public transport system you are 10-20 minutes form anywhere in the Pest area. I have stayed in a few hotels in Pest that are old and ...

The Queen's Court Hotel is a nice, quiet place with nice big suites (we had a Superior Suite rather than a Standard). The pool & sauna area were quite small but that's all you really need for a hotel of this size. The staff were welcoming and polite although we weren't offered any assistance with our bags, which surprised me. Not that I would have taken them up on...

mercure city center hotel is ideally located in very center of budapest, in famous vatci utca (main pedestrian street) where lot of h palaces, places of interest, restaurants and shops can be found. well known bridges connecting banks of danube river are in close proximity as well. it’s walking distance to all attractions and museums. hotel is very well managed, great...

located in the center of budapest, sofitel is perhaps one of the best choice for our stay in budapest also during our trip to europe this time. hotel is provided with all necessary facilities you would required, great fitness center with indoor swimming pool. large room and very comfortable bathroom. hotel accept 3 persons in a room with free of charge additional sofa-...

Definitely one of the highly recommended luxury hotel in Budapest, ideal for its location, service and the well maintained condition of the hotel. The hotel looks especially beautiful during nightfall when the exterior was lit up. Room is spacious too. Pity we did not have a chance to try their spa treatments as they were quite popular and our schedule do not meet thei...

Hotel was close too everything , value for money. Excellent shower pressure, nice bed, and very easy to locate if you are first timer in Budapest. But it is without a fridge, no mineral water when check in, and some of looks too tire to answer any enquirers. And many of lamps in the room did not work, cleaning staff will knock a the door at 9 am asking you when you ar...

intercontinental of budapest hotel is very nice in terms of employees service, location and facility. swimming pool and sauna and fiitness center are wonderful. hotel rooms are very clean and vidw from the room for buda area was not forgettable. especially empoyees were very kind to hotel guest.

OK now first thing first. We came in Prague after Budapest. Prague is 3 star and Budapest 5star. I never met the owner but communication was amazing. Got reply every email within couple of hours. Location is amazing. Walk five mins you are in parliament. Den three mins you are in that shoe place by river.. Another three mins you are on bridge.. Den ten mins you are i...

I've stayed in 3 hotels in budapest and no doubt this is the best hotel, really friendly staff and nice room, they even provide bath robes in the room in case you want to go for a swim, it's quite convenient and of course perfect location, 2 minutes walk and you ll see the tram service. Strongly recommended.

With the tram dropping us right in front of the hotel, the location was ideal for viewing one of the best buildings in Budapest, the Parliament! We luckily had a room which faced the building and it was simply beautiful, seeing it all lit up at night. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful, especially the gentleman who helped recommend places to eat and booked is i...

willing to recommend. kind staffs helped me to look around budapest city. clean room with space and reasonable price. near the hotel you can easily enjoy a variety of restaurants and stores. From the hotel 5 minute's walk, Metro and Tram are available. good merit.

When I was about to check in I was told there was an error in my reservation - the days was offset by one day and they had expected my arrival the day before! However, without any argument the receptionist kindly offered to correct the booking free of charge, even though the fault was not at the hotel. I was amazed they didn't use the situation to cash in a few extra $...

We initially booked here because it was central and had a washing machine. This Apart hotel turned out to be a gem of a find. Rooms are large and clean, security at doors, downstairs are has entertainment and food options galore. We were a little concerned about noise at night, however you don't hear a thing in your room. Beds are comfy. The young lady and Gentlem...

Thank you so much for such a warm welcome! Although my short stay, I really enjoyed my time at the Maverick City Lodge Hostel. The only thing I was sad about, was to staying only one night. Everything was perfect, the environment, the location and the room. The staff at the reception is amazing, always very friendly and helpful. A particular thank you to Lejla and Cin...

The hotel itself was quiet and clean and in a good location. What set it apart, though, was the quality of customer service I received. The desk receptionist,, spoke excellent English and assisted me in finding the price, directions, and time of a local Budapest soccer game. He went out of his way to answer all of my questions, pinned the most important places on my...
Cheap places to stay in Budapest

this hostel is located within walking distance of most of budapests best sights. it is a great neighborhood for nightlife, a lot of bars for young and older crowds. is a few blocks from the ruin puc szempla kert. it is also a few blocks from the metro stop. the hostel itself is not clearly marked. just a little white awning, but the words, marco polo hostel are not vis...

Cons: 1) No sign or any mention of the hostel at the front door for the building and no information on how to get in. 2) We booked two beds in a six bed dorm that apparently does not exist. The smallest dorm room was 8 bed.. 3) There is only one toilet for the whole hostel (I think 18 beds) so be prepared to wait.. There is a second room with shower only. 4) The kitch...

My stay at 2night Hostel was, for the most part, very good. It's a clean hostel with a nice dorm with regular beds instead of bunk beds (yessss). The staff was nice but didn't speak much english. The hostel is in a beautiful old building typical to Budapest, and that is all very great, but maybe because of this it is very cold in the dorm. I was sleeping in the bed clo...

I stayed at The Maverick while visiting Budapest this past week. I have to say that I was very comfortable. I can be a very picky about bathroom cleanliness and sheets, but this place was amazing! My sister recommended me to stay here and I was not disappointed. The bathroom and the bedroom were amazingly clean where I actually felt comfortable enough to sleep and sh...

This isn’t a “party hostel”—much more personal, but it can quickly turn into one when somebody (usually staff) organizes a group to hit the bars. When not partying, it’s such a great place to chill, and the staff were amazing. When I’m back in Budapest I won’t even consider staying elsewhere.

I hadn't ever stayed in a hostel before so didnt know what ti expect but was pleasantly surprised. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The rooms, kitchen and bathrooms were clean. Location couldn't have been better, we walked everywhere during out stay (although local public transport is available). Only downside was the property was a little bit difficult to...

Fantastic social setting and everyone was super friendly! Very easy to make friends so is perfect for solo travellers or groups wanting to make new friends. Just be aware that this is a party hostel so you will have people in your dorms that will most likely be vomiting sometime. Free dinners every night is an awesome social setting and quite a healthy alternative to e...

I stayed in this hostel only for 1 night as early morning I had to catch a train from Kelenfold train station. It is just 20mins walk away from the hostel. Also, using trams or buses it was easy to get to the centre, only 10mins away or even it was possible to walk 40mins. Staff was very nice and quick in doing the check-in. Even helped with tram tickets. Hostel was cl...

Das Nest is a welcome alternative to the many 'party' hostels that populate Budapest. It's a small boutique place that feels much more homely than the large hostel in the centre. The staff are extremely friendly and chilled out. The highlight of the hostel is the interior design. It's good a very unique, hippy yet modern and stylish look that makes the whole place feel...

One of architecture designs that I fancied was separating the toilet from the bathroom. Actually, there were 2 rooms: the one was a toilet (with the thermostat and a washing machine), the other, a bathroom (with a huge mirror, a radiator and a bathtub). The heater was slightly uncontrollable and those 3 locks on our door were tricky for both of us, 2 single females. I ...

I was in the wombat's vienna before Budapest. As compared, Budapest receptionist did an excellent job as they are much more friendly, approachable and resourceful. One staff offered us the stamp card and we could redeem our breakfast when we had two stamps! The facilities are equipped with utensils but there is no cups for our coffee. Or else, you can pay 1000huf for t...

Overall great time. I've met people here that I will continue to be in touch with in the future. The price I got for my room was excellent, and the cleaning service does their job on a daily basis. Unfortunately, if you plan to stay a long time, this hostel needs to fix their washers and dryers before I give them 5 stars. Their washers/dryers are very poor quality, and...

The hostel was in a great location, and if you. Like old buildings, this one's for you. The room was simple, nothing too fancy… But the location was great. The metro and restaurants are very close nearby. The staff was friendly, but misunderstood my booking and charge me twice. I'm waiting to get reimbursed for one day that I overpaid. The cost overall was very nice ...

The room was clean and comfortable however the hotel isn't in the same building shown in the photos its about 1km away, theres a city tax and cleaning fee they make you pay after your stay even after you paid your full amount online and it states they have luggage storage online but then tell us we cant store our bags making us find another option. Overall room was oka...

Great . For sure that this is a budget Hostel, so the rooms are quite basic but clean . No A/C, so it is a litle bit hot during Summer períod, but for this price what can we ask more ? The staff is very nice, friendly, and allways very helpful .The breakfast is magnific for the Hostel price level . I will come again for sure !

Value for money hotel with good amenities and great location. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Rooms were clean and well sized with room to move. Lots of cafes, shopping mall, restaurants, grocery store, metro, markets all within walking distance of 5-10 minutes. We will recommend this hotel and return next time we are in Budapest.

Hotel is very central, breakfast was great. Biggest issue was the beds were so hard! They were like sleeping on concrete apparently after talking to friends a lot of beds r like that in Budapest. So drink lots as it’s so cheap to get a good nights sleep!!

My husband and I found the hotel perfect! Our room was perfect- so clean too. There was nothing to fault. The bathroom was amazing and so were the staff . The breakfast was one of the best - there was also vegetables! We couldn't believe it! And what about those delicious cakes?! We told all our friends - it was so well located for everything we wanted to see We'...

I like this hotel very much. I stayed several times in this hotel, however I stayed in several other hotels in Budapest. This is for me the best one. I only stayed for one night, but have nothing to complain about this hotel. It was good value for money. I chose this hotel because i wanted a quick access out of the city to the airport, while still being close to downtown. Most of the hotels in this category in Budapest have very small rooms and i was positively surprised that the rooms are more spacious than in o...

At first there was a confusion when we checked in. We booked for 3 persons but were informed only 2, but in the end, it was sorted & the staff acknowledged we were right. Anyway we were ok cos the staff, Viktoria, was very polite, helpful & very pleasant. Its location is just a walking distance from various attractions like Váci Street, Vigado Square, Vorosmarty Squa...

The apartment is well situated to everything in Budapest. It is part of a larger group of 4 blocks. We stayed at Trendyfor 3 days before staying at Centrel which is probably a better choice but dearer. The lounge, kitchen and balcony at Centrel were very comfortable but bedroom was very small -the bed was up against the wall and hard to get into. Car parking underneath...

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was close by everything we wanted to get to (including the best baths/sauna in Budapest) with Michelin rated restaurants in the area. While the front bar service was sometimes a bit slow, the staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was quite fresh and clean. We enjoyed our view of the castle from the room, and would definitely st...

Right on Andrássy Ave, walk to almost everywhere. Exceptional service - front desk staff are courteous and were flexible enough to accomodate an early checkout a day earlier. Refund no problem ! Breakfast is a 5 star spread ! Wouldn’t recommend any other hotel in Budapest !

Greetings from Pakistan!! I was traveling with my wife and a three and a half year old son. I initially booked the hotel for two nights and later on extended it for another two days. The extension of my stay was done without any hassle. The hotel is beautiful and the room had everything that we needed. The staff was super super friendly and they were so kind to us and...

Enjoyed it very much, it is a great hotel and value for money, it's location is right next to Metro station and nearby tourist area. I stayed there for 5 nights during my 14 days holiday in Budapest. I should have booked this hotel all the way through. Well, I will surely do that when I return for another trip.

Pros: Great location close to Buda Castl and public transport. Many restaurants at doorstep. Hotel staff were very professional. Enjoy free croissants, bakery and coffee for breakfast. Room spacious and clean. In short, one of the best stay in Budapest centrally located hotels at a fraction of the cost of similar properties.

This is the best place in Budapest to stay. The location ist absolutely perfect - it's located between the most popular sights like the Basilika, the Synagoge and the Vörösmarty Tér. You can reach all these points in around 5-10 minutes by foot. The staff is really friendly and the rooms are nice and clean. The bed is so comfortable and it's quiet outside so that you'...

It's a big four star hotel in Buda side of Budapest. Even though it looks a bit run-down, room is clean. Location is great. It's just right next to the metro station "Deli Palyaudvar" of line 2. It takes only about ten minutes to walk up the hill to get to Mathas Church and Fisherman's Bastion. The free wifi is fast. After all, it's a good value for a 4 star hote...

We had a lovely few days in Budapest and would highly recommend the Corvin Centre Suites. We were originally booked in the Fraser residences which was only a short distance from the Corvin , when we arrived they informed us that our booking had been cancelled because the Residences were full . We contacted Agoda and they quickly found us a new accommodation . The worst...

The room was perfect and the location was ideal for a first visit to Budapest. Breakfast was good and staff service was friendly and professional. The only part of the hotel that wasn't 5 star was the bathroom. This was old and outdated. Still with a shower over the bath and the hair dryer over heated when used. I actually felt that the bathroom also needed a really go...

Beautiful hotel, great location next the chain Bridge and funicular up to Budapest castle. The room is very nice and super clean. There is coffee maker inside the room is my favourite when I wake up. The staff are very professional and very friendly. Food and breakfast were delicious. Definitely come back again and stay at this hotel.

I book the hotel for my two bosses who had a business trip on budapest The first booked is for 2 nights and two rooms But they had to extend the meeting so i booked another 1 night and two rooms I already send a message to hotel with explanation 'this is extended guess from booking code xxxxxx' I double check with agoda team and agoda team its enough to make them (...

First, the staff at the hotel are incredible. Quick to arrange anything you want. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the location is absolutely perfect, right opposite the Chain Bridge. Its the kind of hotel you look forward to coming back to. Room and bathroom are also very nice. Beakfast was good but the hot food, eggs, pancakes, etc. were a little below par. Charcuter...

There was no hot water or heat during my stay. I was not offered any compensation. The unit is in a great location but a ton of construction going on outside the apartment at the moment. The unit is spacious and airy but dark and quiet. Otherwise its just OK. Its also not a true 2 bedroom... More like one bedroom plus loft. So if you need two bedrooms that are pr...

The city is easy to access with different kinds of transport for you to choose with low cost. Beautiful city with a nice scene of river bank.
Budapest is understated compared to Vienna and Prague. I have seen Prague but I preferred this city as being more organized, cleaner and the locals more friendly.
Budapest have numerous historical sites and buildings but maintenance is lacking. Many of buildings have peeling off paint or layers.
One of the best cities I have visited - so clean and the architecture is stunning. The spas are great to experience, the people are friendly and helpful and the food is usually very good.
Budapest is not the friendliest city as not most of them don't speak English based on my travel experience.
Great city with rich historical culture. There are many things to do and see especially boat trips on the river between Buda and Pest.
We would like to come back again and visit Budapest. There is so much attractions that you can find in Budapest so every day can be fullfilled with great content.
What a city!! Totally exceeded my expectations - awe-inspiring buildings, the Danube lends a huge character to the city which even Vienna cannot match.
Budapest is really beautiful, especially near the river. I find the inhabitants to be rude and generally unfriendly, which is a shame for such a nice city.
Having lived in Budapest 22 years ago, we were overwhelmed to see how the city is thriving. Budapest is an historic city with magnificent Architecture.
Nice overlook of the city. But a little discovering shows a city that needs money to upkeep and update its buildings and infrastructures.
I can see Budapest people quite nice, they are willing to help people like me, they try to use their limited English to explain what I want to ask.
Historically fascinating, but still recovering from the Communist era. The central area is well maintained, but other parts of the city are falling apart.
More beautiful than Vienna. The areas which have been restored are fascinating, but much remains to be done.
I love Budapest! This was my third visit and once again I left with plans to come back again as soon as possible and see more.
Great city with rich cultural heritage and architecture. People are bit shy, but once you get to know them, very warm and friendly.
Love the city! You can walk around and find a nice building at every corner and everything is pretty much inexpensive.
The major need to spend more time and money to keep the city clean. The sign board are good. We did not use much of the public transport while we are in the city.
A beautiful city of varied architecture. Some very smart areas, some very dowdy. The Pariament buildings, the Cathedrals and the city centre are beautiful.
Budapest is a must-see for the serious traveller in Europe. Often missed because of the fact that it is a little off the beaten path, it is city worth going the extra distance to experience.
This city is undergoing a rennasance. Its historic architecture has been restored to its pre war glory, and it is just a delight to visit.
Fabulous destination. Very cheap and the people are lovely and friendly. The tours are great but the hop on and hop off bus need better organisation at the weekends.
Along with Vienna this must be one of the most outstanding scenic cities in Europe. Go on one of the hop on hop off bus tours some of them include a river tour.
Budapest is definitely a city worth visiting. The people are friendly and helpful; food is delicious and if you like shopping, this is the town for you.
The city was like Paris and it was very safe. Equipped with a convenient mateo network and has good food.
It's so full or character, history and natural beauty. It's thermal spa's are a MUST do. Be aware the hop on hop off tourist buses can be a bit problematic - one just drove straight past me, then several times stopped for 20 minutes or more without notice at various locations which can be problematic if you have limited time.
Very nice and cosy city with lot of good restaurants and sight seeing. Will also recmmand the different baths in the city.
Small city where walking allows you to hop from spas to nice architecture and urban scenery... nightlife is great too.
We loved our stay in Budapest. The spas were wonderful, the coffee shops wonderful and the area was full of historic buildings that were wonderful.
I rank Budapest in my top 10 list of more than 100 cities that I've ever visited. The city is safe even at night, the people are 'nicer' and 'friendlier'.
