I am very impressed witg Phoenix Park Ski resort. The hotel provides us all necessary kitchenware to prepare meals. Also, Customers has a variety of restaurant choices including Korean restaurant, KFC, Domino Pizza, and cofe benene. Plus, There is a supermarket in the resort area. The ondul condo is very clean and warm, you have to bring your own bathroom amenity such as toothbrush, shampoo, liquid soap etc. My best impression of my trip is Ms Kim, a receptionist staff on New Year Day. I left my bag and thought I lost it in the toilet at another building. I rushed to the condo and asked Ms Kim to help find the bag, she accompanied me back to the building , communicated with the staff, looked into the cctv with me and finally found the maid who help kept my bag with all my money and passport inside. She was so sweet and very much impressed me with her hospitality. I will definitely visit Korea and stay at the resort again.

Hands down, White Cabin deserves 5 stars from my family. The hotel is so beautiful, giving you a country like feels and looks way better than the pictures shown here. The owner was so kind to upgrade our room and drove us to Phoenix Park on the day we left so that we don't have to lug our luggages along the streets. The hotel is also close to many restaurants and convenient stores. Francesca was especially helpful and we were all so delighted to have her as our host. Many thanks White Cabin, I highly recommend your hotel to others.

I really have to thank Aby, the young guy who speaks OK English and works round the clock. He put us into a quiet room which we requested hence it looked into the rice fields facing the back side of the hotel, first night we had snow and was so pretty. The front of the hotel overlooking the ski slopes and I saw many people placing their ski and board at the balcony. I didn't hear any noise when I walked around the hotel though. So quietness is good. Cleanliness is good also. There is no grease in the kitchen as someone else here have mentioned (I was skeptical in the beginning of whether to book here or not) and everything turns out to be out of my expectation and is clean. Beddings is clean. There are 2 tatami in the cabinet if you need and there is a bed on the loft. It is exactly like the pictures. Pretty new the kitchen cabinets etc. We cooked almost all meals. We grab our food one day (walking to the resort is doable but not recommended, 20 min at least). We had Beaf, pork, vegetables, rices, dumplings, seafood (we grab at supermarket in the resort), it was so much cheaper and fun to cook ourselves. Lots of shops selling foods along the way. Best thing is their related ski rental shop picked us up every morning, and sent us back to the hotel after we finished (we ski the section of 10:30 am to 4:30 pm) and the shop gave us a coupon each day with lift discount of 30% to 40% off. So much cheaper.

Very nice spot away from the bustle of Wonju. Spacious and well equipped. The heated floor heats up to a million degrees if you so desire. A little difficult to find so print the map before you head off. No hassle communicating with the delightful owner. Good food within a short car ride. Area seems to be abundant in beef. There's a ski field somewhere nearby but we didnt see it.

Except the maintenance of the bath room, as I understand this is quite a new hotel, however, I see no proper maintenance of the bathroom & cleaning service is 2/5 marks! Flooring & toilet bowl was not cleaned properly ! I still see hair & stain! Other than the above, hotel staff were helpful although cannot speak fluent English but we still manage to communicate with them...even taxi driver called them to assist to translate..ya..taxi driver kept speaking Korean to us though he knew we understood none..,at the end he called hotel staff to translate.. Well both were kind and helpful.. Ya.. As the hotel located up in the hill, I think they should provide shuttle bus at least to the nearby Phoenix Ski Park or around the area.. Then I think is more attractive..

This is the best hotel for anyone who want to play skiing in korea. This hotel is very beautiful with best service, i just have one night at there but that's perfect. i feel happy so much, and i want to say thank you to Judy, she's very nice and help me many information. If you go with family and kids, that's awesome because there are many games and toys for kid to play in room and outside I surely comeback if i have a chance!

The way to the hotel was so scary. small road with forest left and right (well that's why they said its forest hotel??) When we arrived, it's definitely not a hotel. it's more like cottage. the reception located in one house, we went there for check in and get key and map to our room. The room looks like hut. Not huge but very nice with small kitchen in the room. amenities are good, in the morning you could see snow everywhere. very pretty. Nearby our room, there is a small animal cages. they have dogs, rabbits, chickens, etc. But.. they are so poor. it was so cold, the cages was wet because of snow. i hate to see this.. hopefully the staff care more about them and if they don't want to take care them well, please just let them free.... This is the worst part of this place >.<

Before we decided to book the hotel ,I read reviews and they said about cold in the winter and we're quite afraid of it. By the way,once we saw the room and bed , it's suit with us. Room was clean and bed can control temperature. It's awesome!!! Hotel quite old but ok.... It took about 15 mins from Phoenix ski resort by walk. One thing that I would like to recommended that name of hotel doesn't have in English language. It's would be better if you have because it's easy to looking for. (I did remember the building from the picture)

We stayed at the pension over the Lunar New Year holiday. Before we even arrived, we realized we had accidentally gotten the dates for our stay wrong by one day. The staff responded immediately in English to our frantic email and went above and beyond to accommodate our group. We were so touched by the generosity and kindness we experienced during our stay. The staff also arranged for us to have transportation to the ski rental shop near Phoenix Park. The rooms themselves are gorgeous and very roomy. They're fully stocked, perfect for late night ramen cravings. The TV had plenty of English movies available for us to watch. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Spring Summer Fall Winter pension and hope to return soon!

I came to visit the Winter Olympics. I tried to turn around on the path, but my car got stuck in the snow. The visitors of the Pension helped me out, but it wasn't until the owner came by and called somebody to help me get my car out. After a few tries, they got my car out and pointed me towards my room. It looks like a tight knit community that comes together to help out. Would come back here again with my family.

Cab fare from the nearest bus station is about 12,000won but the ahjumma (manager/owner) told us she can drive us with 5,000won.. the pension is quite far from town so u better bring enough food. The kitchen is small but well equipped. The scenery at the window from our bed is breathtaking.. The ahjumma can not speak english at all so u better be prepared to learn a bit korean for basic things u might need..

I stayed there for two nights, it was a great experienced at there. The boss very friendly, help us to order the delivery and give us the free drinks. The pension is located at the hill, nearby do not have any restaurant or shop, so will be inconvenient for those whose do not have transport by their own. But the boss can send you to the phoenix park or the nearest shop to buy things. The design of pension is really lovely and warm, will let you feel like home. So i am highly recommend the people who want plan to go Phoenix park for ski.

We booked this location to be closer to the Winter Olympics and the view from the cabin was beautiful. We did get lost and there probably should be some signage around for people who do not know how to read Hangul. We also did not have a phone number to the cabin and had to find a local to look up a number for us to call the owner. When driving up to the cabin our car could not get past the ice and we had to get some assistance from the owner, Liun, and his son. The room/cabin we stayed in was great for us for one night, except we could not figure out all the appliances. We initially had trouble with the stove, but the owner's son taught us how to use it. We also ended up putting the heater on high and could not figure out how to lower it during the night. Liun was very helpful and offered to shuttle us to and from our event for a small fee. He also was helpful with getting our car out of the ice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the kids thought the cabin layout was neat!

We stayed at Sims cabin for 3 nights and truly felt Mr and Mrs Sim’s hospitality. Communication through WhatsApp after booking online and the host were able to answer promptly to my queries... Mr Sim picked us up at the KTX station on time with his car and it was a scenic drive to their cabin. Host arranged for ski lessons, recommended Korean bbq, cafes and even did up a itinerary for me to explore and places to visit. The house is clean and comfortable for a family. Mrs Sim helped us tidy up the room after the 2nd night stay. They were very helpful, caring, kind and made all efforts to make our stay a pleasant one! A very relaxed and calm place to live.... hope to visit again soon! Thank u mr and Mrs Sim!

My fiancée and I stayed at Angel Dream Pension for 1 night in May. The pension itself is a little off the beaten track but is set in a beautiful tranquil mountain valley next to a pretty stream/river. The the studio room was nice and spacious and was very clean. We were really happy that there was also a small kitchen with a hob, sink, microwave and fridge freezer as well as a nice little balcony with a table and chairs. The bathroom was also spacious and clean and included shampoo, shower gel and even toothpaste. The only downside was that the bed was very hard. Aside from that, the owners were extremely friendly and although they spoke only a little English they made us feel very at home. My fiancée and I both agreed that we would love to go back there some time as we felt thoroughly relaxed and back to nature there. P.s access is down quite a long dirt track that is pretty well signposted but could be tricky in winter if there is snow. Ample parking right outside the room was great!
