Exceptional”
Good location, 10-15 min walk from train station. Easy to reach. The owner, Jasmine, is very friendly. She has a very cute (and old, 17 y.o.) shih tzu dog, for those who like dogs.There are laundry services, for a minimal fee. A good base to explore Hualien and Taroko National Park for a few days. There are lots of small restos and convenience stores nearby. I would recommend this hostel to friends who are budget travellers.

Nice place to stay”

Rock bottom price, not best value though”
This was the cheapest hostel in Hualien, it was ok but you can feel that the owner is cutting corner on too many things. Start with the legendary three decker bunker bed, in a normal ceiling room, the top deck had absolutely no more than 40cm of headroom, you crawl into the bed like it is a side loaded coffin, luckily because it is not usually full you are not very likely to sleep in one of those wonders. Then it's the bedding, you get a clean duvet cover of normal size, but the "duvet" itself is half the size, it took us a good laughter and some hair scratching to figure out that this is not a joke. I wish agoda could let me post photos because they do have the comical power to make you laugh. Then it's the service, when we asked to turn on the air-con, the staff challenged our seriousness by asking "do you really need air-con on?" Of course we do otherwise why would we ask? There are other bits and pieces but I guess you can see what I mean. But the hostel is still functional, not far from the train station and the price was cheap. However after spend three more day in another nearby hostel that cost only 1.8 dollars more per day I realise that the value is not so impressive than the price may suggest.

Very nice hostels”
Was a very nice hostel, can see they have had problem with reviews, first they let me read there policy on all things, if ok well charge you & you stay. I can see this like for me bike can't park inside no problems as you have a safe camera area out front, AC only on at certain times of the day to save cost we all benefit from that..! The place is clean the staff is nice good beds so what more do you need, they tell you all up front love honesty, would stay again and recommend it ..!

located about 7 minutes from hualien train station and the visitor centre. lobby is a bit small so it can get quite cramped. you can take bus 301 from hualien train station down to dong da men night market, otherwise it will be a 35min++ walk there!

Has everything you could need, and not too far from the night market. Staff could be a little bit more friendly, they kind of ignore you mostly, which is fine I guess. But worth the price you pay for the hostel, definitely.

Smoking area is at the entrance”
Every night we are greeted with many smokers at the entrance, playing games, eating snacks and laughing away. Most of them don't look like they are staying there. Staff is always not around during the day and you will need to make a phone call to find the staff, which is very inconvenient. Besides that, the hostel provides value for money tours and beds are fairly clean, although having a small table in the room will be good.

Very close to train station and bussess to Torok national park”
Hostel is literally 5-10 minutes walking distance form train station and buses going to national park (main reason people visit Hualien) but quiet far from beach/night market (35-45min walking distance). Staff and boss are friendly helpful (also speak good English). I booked a private room with shared bathroom and they were both great, shower really strong and good hot water. I would've given that

You get what you pay”
The bedroom a little bit stunk because they only turn on A/C after 7pm. Because you pay very cheap price you may get roommates who are not very tidy. The bathrooms are quite small and not very clean but still okay. The staff was very helpful as much as he could. He went up and downstairs to fulfill my requests without uneasiness. It locates the nearest to the station but it’s a disadvantage of this town that there are not many bus stops and restaurants nearby and I had to take a taxi to find something to eat.

This hostel has a good location. Near the main train station. Rooms are fine, a bit dark for whom is leaving earlier and have to pack. They have those 3 bunk beds which I found difficult staying up there and no place to place your mobile or any eletronic device while you are sleeping. Actually they have 2 outlets per bed that is very good! Laundry is a bit expensive and you have to pay extra for the soap.

Room and facility are new 、clean,the boos here is kind,not too far away from train station and easy to find. I had a wonderful time in big baers!i wish i can come back here soon!
