Comfortable like a home”
This is my third hostel during my long trip, and it's easily the best one I stayed so far (stayed in a total of 5 this year). It's very clean - I gauge this by how the bath floor feels when I shower, and I can tell it's been cleaned often. The owner and cleaner were happy to welcome me. I really liked the manager's energy - I think we have the same personality and way of thinking. I stayed in one of the hostel rooms, and it was by far comfortable. The bunk bed was spacious and I had room to put my stuff around. Location was good! Quite near the train station. It was a bit of a walk to the night market, but the night market itself is placed in the corner of the city. I'd stay here again!

Charming place with amazing staff”
Great location, close to the train station and the start of the main street. My room was clean and it had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and it had curtains that blocked light effectively. The common area has a charming, welcoming vibe. There's also a computer, a little kitchen and a laundry room. Staff members were EXTREMELY kind and helpful, I got great tips and we shared some nice conversations. I'm definitely going back to this place in the future!

Amazing eco-friendly, youth hostel with the best staff!! ”
We were a family of 3, the staff/managers greeted us warmly everytime we entered and helped us with our needs. The hostel implemented many cute initiatives e.g. Recycling corners, self-service first-aid/Healthcare supplies corner, charity shop(up to you to pay), fruit compost, postcard writing service (proceed goes to support local businesses/farmers) and even provided a central I Mac for use. Loved this hostel. Will definitely stay again! Only 7 mins walk to hualien train station, scooter rentals available near the station at 100-200NTD, distance to night market was not an issue at all (we were happy to walk 25 mins and sitesee anyway). Thank you for the amazing stay ☺️

Bayhouse is the perfect place to stay at when you want to go and visit Hualien surroundings (Taroko national park) and have an amazing moment. The location is great, very close to the main station. The atmosphere is very peaceful, calm and nice. The host is super friendly, very kind and extremely available for any questions. I warmly recommand Bayhouse hostel!

Very at home place near the train station”
The host is very friendly and helpful. The ladies' dorm was clean with exclusive bathroom. I like the way they decorate the dorm in feminine style. It is about 10-15 minutes walk to the train station but is very close to the main shopping street near the train station. Definitely no problem to find good food and groceries. The hotel pays a lot of attention to the environmental friendly subjects as well. As a conclusion I think this hostel deserves a very high scoring.

Beautiful, cozy, clean, very friendly staff”
The common area is really nice and welcoming. Double room is more than twice as big as other hostels of the same price. Also very quiet although near to train tracks. Extremely clean. However, clothes drying area is too small and clothes did not dry because too many guests hung their clothes together.

Very close to railway station. I was tired when I arrived so they kindly let me into my room early. Friendly staff . The bed was extremely comfortable . Tv in my room with an English Channel. Only gripe would have liked some milk ( even powdered) for my tea and coffee

When I arrived, I was greeted with a warm ambiance, quietness, and an immense hospitality from the host. It barely occurred to me to call it just a hostel, nothing fancy and probably rambunctious, but my first and lasting impression of the place would suggest otherwise - a safe and comfortable haven that radiates proper solitude of a home, and minimally designed with sustainability in mind. The host is amicable, almost like a family friend who demonstrated commendable hospitality and toured me around in flex of what the place has to offer. Her smile never left her expression. Overall, Bayhouse Comfortel deserves its title and it will be very likely I shall come back to this place when I visit Hualien again soon.

Value for money and friendly staff”
Really great experience in Bayhouse. Everything more than my expectation! Staff there are friendly and willing to help anytime. If you have an opportunity to stay there, must try the foods recommend by them, really nice which won't disappoint you! Room is big and comfortable, books are avalaible in the room just makes me feel like home. Although they said to have no breakfast included in the room price, but coffee, tea are always available in the pantry. Bread, jam and even toaster are available also. I believe it is an ideal breakfast for a relaxed holiday morning! Of cause you can treat it as a supper also! It may be difficult to find the hostel when you first time there, but it is actually very convenient, walkable distance to shopping area and night market, and just 7 or 8 mins walk to Hualien train station. Over all, I like everything there! And really regret to have planned only 2 days there. Will definitely choose this hostel again next time if I plan to go Hualien again!
