Al Khuwair hotels & places to stay

Everything is just awesome there are no words to describe as the service the room the ambience everything at such a low cost obviously thanks to Agoda for proving me with such a beautiful hotel with best of facilities and the best thing is it is located in the heart of the city which truly astounded me. Dunno why people were complaining but I just loved it truly recommended for your Family or Business trip anything and everything you can get here I enjoyed my leisure time at the pool morning time at the Gym evening time at their cafe lounge with free & best WiFi I missed out the breakfast even that would had been wonderful if I had opted for it. Service is also amazing proper English speaking staff even Arabic i guess language isn't an issue at this Hotel again 5 stars is also less for such a beautiful place. Thank you team Agoda you are my new and favourite App for any booking.

i chose to stay here because it is close to so many places i like. this is not frist time i come to muscat so i want to be in a nice hotel with best location. it was great first impression as staff gave me very nice room with best pool and seaview. i din't have time much in hotel but i wish that my mother and my son will be happy during stay and yes they were very happy. but i have one complain because one night i came late to hotel as i went out with friend. there is 1 staff say something that make me not to go back here again. anyway breakfast was really nothing for me to eat.

very lovely staff from counter to resturant. they are really have guests detail as i have small child with me they gave me very comfortable time there. the room is big enough good for price very clean and i like that is near to the mosque. easy to go al qurum beach and goverment building area. taxi infront of hotel all time very convenieance plus i love the stair infromt of hotel. oh and nice breakfast. i might be back very very soon.

Hotel is lovely, neat and clean. But staff needs to be become more proffesional.. Even though O booked and paid the entire room rent through credit card visa, the satff was trying to collect room rent as cash as if, they were never heard about paying through credit card!!. It took a while to convince them.. And location is bit inside the Al Khuwair, thus my relatives/friends found difficult to locate the hotel(since it is new also)..so GPS cordinates should be given in the websites Muscat Dunes Hotel, Bashwar/Al Khuwair- N23°34’25.51” E58°24’56.50”

I have been a frequent flyer to Dubai but this was the first time traveling to Muscat, Oman. The first thing when i travel for work abroad or in India is to get a Hotel nearby to the place of my business associates. Here in Muscat i was going to be at the Nawras Premises which is located inside Muscat Grand Mall. There were other choices around the Mall but were up high in rates. After searching the internet i came across Hotel Samara which is in Al Khuwayr. From here Muscat Grand Mall is around 1.5 Kilometers. Any Hotel nearby this is no less than 1km, so this was the best choice. The Hotel was very clean, the rooms were large enough and very clean and they have a Restaurant which serves Indian, Arabic and Continental dishes and a Coffee Shop beside the Reception as well. There is a Gym on the first floor for guests to use. If you buy a sim card for Oman you will get recharge in the Hotel Reception itself. The Hotel has 2 single beds room, a kingsize bedroom and also a suite. Needless to say all are A/c rooms with Hot & Cold Water running 24 hrs, LED TV and cupboard with a safe locker. Just opposite to the Hotel is a the beautiful Zarawi Mosque. Muscat Bakery is 1 minute walk a nice place to have South Indian snacks and other eatery and shopping of grocery if anyone wishes. For pure vegetarians or those wanting to try pure veg there are 2 restaurants at 5 minutes walk, ie Soha Restaurant and beside it is Ghasitaram Restaurant, both offer good food. For shoppers there is KM Hypermarket at 5 minutes walk where you can shop for cosmetics, dry fruits, grocery, dates etc. I wish i bought all my dry fruits from here but i ended up visiting KM a day before my departure and bought rest of the stuff from Carrefour which is inside Muscat Grand Mall and then also visited Lulu Hypermarket which is opposite to Muscat Grand Mall. The Hotel Guys will assist travelers in the short day trips which are organized by local companies there like dolphin watching in

I paid for a delux king suite and was given a room with no toilet seat, no curtain around shower (very slippery and dangerous when stepping out of shower onto wet slick tiles) no bath mat, and only one towel. This hotel is 2.5 star (by north American standards) if you are used to Indian standards then its 4.5 star. Front desk staff were amazing and very friendly and helpful

I really enjoyed my stay at the Safeer Continental. The staff were very helpful. Since I stayed for 5 days, I opted for 24-hour internet service (they offer 1 hour or 24 hours) which was more cost effective given the time I required. Internet service was very quick. I certainly didn't use all 24 hours so I wish there were other options. The exercise room was adequate and bring your own water, if needed, since there is no water cooler. The hotel is within walking distance to a few local restaurants, bakery, pharmacy and to the Radisson if you want to drink. I had a car so it was nice that the hotel was close to the main roads. The price paid was fantastic though breakfast wasn't included but that's fine. I did have their breakfast on my last day. The food was fine though a bit expensive I feel. All in all, a great experience.

muscat is an extended city so one has to choose which area to opt for. khuwair, the area the waves hotel is in, hosts most of the new four star class hotels, suitable for business and as starting point for city trips. around the corner is the brandnew km hypermarket, and lulu and a newly opening mall are nearby, and there are many small restaurants in the neighbourhood. so while muscat has the name of being expensive, one can keep an eye on the budget this way. not every taxi driver yet knows waves, that is why the hotel maybe had the spectacular offer. the online booking offer did not mention clearly breakfast and wifi, but they are included in the offer i had. and it was an excellent breafast and fast internet. the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I stayed for 2.5 weeks at the hotel and it was an excellent choice for a researcher on a budget. The staff were very friendly and let me print my boarding documents for free and were very attentive. The hotel's location meant the beach was only a 5-minute drive away, and the Souk a 5-minute walk. The rooms were clean and there was a small fridge in each one. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

We visited the hotel directly and informed receptionist that we would book via Agoda.com and stay in their hotel. We requested assistance to avail their wifi in advance or pay for it so we can book our stay. The receptionist clearly mentioned that wifi is for guest only. We end up searching for wifi nearby the hotel just to book our room online. When we did book the room, the receptionist transformed and acted as per his job description. Its too plain, we did not feel the home away from home feelings and there is no flexibility as we are travelling by road and we were too exhausted that time

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay here. Hotel was easy to locate, driving from the UAE. Check in was smooth and quick, room was lovely, business lounge very nice but could have been staffed and supplied a bit better. Unbelievably value for money. O Malleys pub was disappointing, smelled of greasy food and music was way to loud for that time in the evening, only stayed for one drink. Pool was nice, not too busy, and food and cocktails were delicious from the lazy lizard and Olivios restaurant. Buffet breakfast was amazing, one of the best we have ever experienced. One downside was when we inquired about things to do in the area the staff were surprisingly unknowledgeable. Highly recommended all the same.

After check-in no body will take luggage to room. All guest shall carry their stuffs themself and find the room which are not arranged in sequence. After opening the door it was dark, not even power was ON. AC needs 20mins to stabilise cooling. Bedroom AC was not working properly and spoiled my whole night of sleep. Maintenance guys available only in morning. Room was smelly. One and only good thing is the Manager Mr. Ashwin who is an excellent person and very very professional on response. But rest of everything is worst
