Al Ghubrah hotels & places to stay

The hotel is well located in a quiet location, but near the main highway in Muscat and close to two large shopping centres and a supermarket. The hotel is 5 stars, with comfortable rooms, beds, large bathroom, spa with sauna, steam room and massage, and a fabulous roof top swimming pool and tennis court. There are two indoor restaurants and an outdoor grill which occasionally has live music and a weekly world street food evening on a Thursday night. Highly recommended. The staff are all very friendly and helpful from the car staff and concierge to the front desk, spa staff and restaurant staff. Special mention should be made of Lovely who served us in the restaurant one evening. Thank you all! We will be back!

NICE PLACE TO STAY FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN. I LIKE THE APARTMENT I BOOKED IT WAS 3 BEDROOM. THE LOCATION REALLY GREAT AND A SHOPPING MALL UNDER THE APARTMENTS AND THERE IS A MALL TOO CROSS THE ROAD. LAST VISIT TO MUSCAT WAS MORE THAN TEN YEARS, ITS REALLY BIG DIFFERENT FROM THE LAST VISIT THE NEW ROADS HOTELS SHOPPING MALLS. I SPENT LOVELY TIME IN MUSCAT WITH MY FAMILY. THANKS TO AGODA FOR LISTING THIS BEAUTIFUL EXECUTIVE APARTMENTS HOTEL, BY THE WAY THERE IS A MILLENNIUM HOTEL BESIDE THE APARTMENTS.

The best place when looking for tranquility, relaxation and luxury! It's a wonderful place for those seeking relaxation in a unique surrounding. Some staff people are not 5star level but overall it's a fantastic place (even though expensive) to relax, hence i came already for the 2nd time. To go out for dinnere you need to take a cab, there is nothing in short walking distance. Muscat downtown is 15mins away by car. The only downside: the beach is not really 5star, i would give it 4 stars!

- We had a very nice stay. The reception staff allowed us to check-in 3 hours earlier at no additional Charge. Thank you. - we had some difficulties to find the Hotel on behalf of Google maps. The name of the road, where the Hotel is located, is not Al Ghubrah St. , but 23rd JULY. Suggest to the Hotel, to Change it. - The beds should be softer. Two nights were enough.

i liked the hotel. the best part of attraction was the executive room. but the bath room didn't elevate the ambiance of the room, which looked shabby. they didn't provide a bath towel without asking. the advantage was that it was calm and quiet. initially i had problem with the hotel reception to get things done, being on line booking. the receptionist didn't know about it and who called someone in position to ascertain the booking. barring this minor issue, i enjoyed my stay over there!

Asha at reception was really friendly she upgraded us to deluxe suite. We were booked in for 2 days only but booked for a further 5 because of ashas hospitality. Very clean hotel but slightly old fashioned. Beds big and comfy. Room service was good minor faults were rectified almost immediately. Location is good. Only downfall is breakfast. Toast with butter jam and cheese, tea/coffee and juice everyday included in price. Nevertheless 24 hr restaurant next door. Shopping mall across road. Good hotel for price i paid.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at these hotel apartments. The location was good, but definately a car is essential for visiting places as public transport was not substantial. The staff were very helpful and polite. I'm very particular where I stay and found Al Ferdous to tick my boxes. The kitchen area is basic but adequate for snacky types of meals or light continental type breakfasts. If I return to Muscat I will definately be staying at Al Ferdous.

We booked the hotel because they advertised "extra bed" availability and there were three adults in our group. When we arrived, the extra bed was a filthy, 2.5 inch foam mattress that was to be thrown on the floor. They provided only a single sheet for it. No blanket, no pillow. We went down to discuss it and they said they'd find a cleaner one. We said no, we weren't staying because that was NOT what was advertised and NOT worth $13 a night. They agreed to not charge for it, and our friend slept on the sofa. We had to contact Agoda for the refund bu they were GREAT about it!

Arrival and check in was seamless, warm welcome and good atmosphere. Rooms are compact and 'bijou' however, very clean with the usual facilities. Eating in was good with an evening meal choice of buffet or al a carte and good service. Lobby bar - again small but well stocked but no atmosphere. Check out. This is the usual failing of Middle East hotels whatever the star rating and this hotel was no better. Inexperienced staff or just lazy who knows led to a less than satisfactory service level and a bitter pill at the end of a 4 day enjoyable visit. Having said that, I would stay again and allow an enormous amount of time to check out.

My friends and I stayed in this place for one night. We were 5 and we booked it because of its attractive rate among a few other hotels who also cater to group bookings. It was quite hard to locate at first because the Google location was incorrect and it led us to the establishment at the back of the hotel. Upon arrival, we observed that the staff were warm and friendly. The front desk staff knew about my booking and even mentioned my name immediately right after I mentioned that I booked via Agoda. The registration didn't take too much of our time. We were quickly escorted to our room and the staff gave us a familiarization tour of the it. We booked the 2BR apartment and it has a sitting room with a wide flat screen TV; a functional kitchen with cooking and eating utensils, a big fridge, microwave oven, a bread toaster, an electric kettle and a dual tub washing machine. They also have cleaning materials (mop, dustpan and brush) in the kitchen. We also found a large ironing board with an electric iron. The entire apartment has a total of 3 bathrooms (one in each room and another one in the sitting room). Both rooms have flat screen TV's. They have cable TV channels and a good wifi connection. The beds are very comfortable. The mattress is firm and it was good for our tired but newly massaged back at that time. We made sure to have maximized the use of their kitchen so we cooked our dinner there. It felt like we were at home even if we weren't. The room seemed like a flat which was designed to be a hotel. It is spacious enough for a family. We were delighted to have them accept our request for an extra bed, with additional minimal charge. Another thing worth mentioning is that they have a wide selection on their menu. We did not get to try any of the food but most of the items are fairly priced, although I noticed that the drinks were quite expensive. Our booking offered free breakfast buffet so we tried it the next day but we were a bit disappointed. Fi

ROOM 504, BATHROOM, AND KITCHEN WERE CLEAN. THERE WERE MICROWAVE, SMALL FRIDGE, AND SAFETY LOCKER. BATHROOM HAD PLENTY OF CLEAN TOWELS AND NECESSARY ITEMS BUT TOILET SPRAY WAS VERY HARD (MY 10-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER WAS NOT ABLE TO PUSH EVEN WITH BOTH HANDS), OTHER THAN THIS HOTEL WAS REALLY NICE AND STAY WAS PLEASANT, RECEPTION STAFF GOOD AND READY TO HELP. I WILL RECOMMEND FOR OVERNIGHT STAY IN BUDGET HOTEL CATEGORY (THERE ARE NO IN-HOUSE BREAKFAST & DINNER SERVICES BUT DELIVERY FROM NEARBY RESTAURANTS AVAILABLE).
